Chapter 569: Chapter 569: Garbage Star’s Good-for-Nothings (6)

Qiann Yan sat cross-legged on the bed, with no intention of continuing her practice.

Instead, she rested her chin in her hand, deep in thought. Now she wanted to look at some interstellar information. Unfortunately, she didn’t even have a personal terminal, making it impossible to go online and search for information.

Did Luoo Cheng, this adoptive father, ever truly care about the original host?

She recalled the power of the Insect Race Queen and other interstellar creatures, and how the interstellar humans of this world developed their own powers, so it’s not surprising that this world has special powers.

Especially those energies that power the mecha and battle armor, aren’t they all special powers?

In this world, she didn’t need to practice the usual skills; instead, she must try to use these powers to enhance her strength.

She planned to try using the Cultivation system to see if it worked, and if not, she would have to figure out another way.

Two hours later, Qiann Yan opened her eyes, with traces of joy in her once-calm gaze.

The Cultivation system works, although the achievements are limited. Using this system can enhance power, but, unlike in the Cultivation World, it doesn’t lead to Immortal Ascension. This was her assumption based on the changes in strength she observed through Cultivation.

Enhancing power is good enough; Qiann Yan never intended to become Immortal in this world. With stronger power, soaring across the stars would no longer be a dream.

The original host didn’t want to live under someone else’s control, living a wronged life, and she didn’t like it either.

The entire afternoon, Qiann Yan was immersed in cultivation.

When it was mealtime, she finished the leftover food, cleaned the kitchenware with one touch, then returned to her room, locked the door, and continued to cultivate.

In the evening, she heard some commotion outside the room.

Heavy and messy footsteps came closer, and crashing into something, the person seemed to have fallen to the ground.

Qiann Yan opened the door to find a man passed out drunk, unkempt with stubble, lying in the living room. She went over to check on him.

She reached out and lifted the man, throwing him out, then shut the door!

In the morning, Luoo Cheng just felt soaked all over and upon opening his eyes, realized he was somehow lying on the doorstep, just a few steps from getting home.

Luoo Cheng was a bit puzzled. He vaguely remembered entering the house last night; how did he end up outside?

Was it an illusion?

He got up from the ground and noticed the uneven ground had puddles everywhere. It’s summer now, so it probably rained last night.

Rubbing his sore shoulder, he pushed the door to go inside, but couldn’t move it.

Luoo Cheng was confused and knocked on the door, "Qiann Yan, are you home?"

Sitting cross-legged on the bed, cultivating, Qiann Yan opened her eyes and glanced at the clock, it was only around six in the morning.

So she pretended not to hear and continued to cultivate with her eyes closed.

She usually got up at seven; she should be asleep, soundly enough not to hear Luoo Cheng calling.

Luoo Cheng called for a while, but no one answered. He guessed Qiann Yan must be sleeping.

He could only sit dejected at the door, waiting for her to wake up.

His stomach growled, he felt a bit hungry.

He fumbled in his pocket; it was emptier than his face was clean. Remembering Qiann Yan usually left him enough food, he looked forward to seven o’clock.

At seven, Qiann Yan opened the door.

Luoo Cheng immediately stood up, "Qiann Yan, why did you lock the door like that?"

"I’m a child alone at home; of course, I need to lock the door," Qiann Yan replied primly, turning back into the house.

Luoo Cheng sensed her coldness and was a bit baffled.

Qiann Yan didn’t plan to fall out with Luoo Cheng now, but she also wouldn’t give him a pleasant expression.

"You’re angry because Daddy didn’t come home in time, aren’t you?"

"Qiann Yan, I’m sorry, Daddy won’t do it again."

Qiann Yan glanced at him; he had said these words to the original host many times.

She grabbed her gear, planning to go garbage-picking to earn today’s food money and see if she could find anything else useful, while also inquiring with others about the interstellar situation.

Not having a personal terminal was truly inconvenient.

Once she had money, she needed to get a personal terminal, which would make it much easier to look up information.

She knew Luoo Cheng had one, but he never exposed it on Mutou Star.

His spiritual power was clearly good, but for the sake of true love, he had to pretend to be an ordinary person, bringing the original host here to live a hard life, now even needing the original host to support him.

Truly garbage.
