Chapter 239: Chapter 146: Advancement to Level 1 Crystallization and Manifestation of the Succubus Bloodline

As a result, he would have to find new, alternative resources.

Fortunately, the Wizard Civilization had developed to the point where countless artifacts and potions for increasing Spiritual Power had already been discovered. He didn’t have to worry about finding a replacement.

—At least, that was the case before breaking through to the third level.

The only concern was whether he had enough money to acquire them.

’Whatever. It’s pointless to overthink it. I should focus on advancing to Second-level Wizard first.’

Pei Ze got up and walked out of the stone house, casually casting a Communication Skill.

A moment later, Su Ya hurried over.

"Sir, what are your instructions?"

He had been secluded in the stone house for over half a month. Having not seen her for some time, he noticed the young woman seemed even more radiant. Along with her valiant and heroic air, she now carried a subtle trace of charm.

As her eyes darted about, she gave off a faint, sweet, and seductive air.

While Pei Ze had been engrossed in his cultivation, Su Ya and Peng Yan had both broken through to become Tier Two Legendary Knights.

With this surge in strength, the otherworldly bloodlines within them began to manifest.

The Barbarian bloodline wasn’t too dramatic. Aside from making one taller and more robust, there wasn’t much difference from a human.

Peng Yan had simply grown taller, now approaching 2.2 meters. He looked like a small giant exuding a primitive aura, but otherwise, nothing else had changed.

It was the opposite for Su Ya.

Although her appearance hadn’t changed, she had begun to exude a natural Charm Power. Her already exquisite features seemed to have become even more perfect.

Even the Hill Dwarves, who normally only cared for drinking and brawling, would sometimes find themselves staring at Su Ya, completely captivated.

Fortunately, most of the laborers in the mining area were golems or puppets. Furthermore, as a Tier Two Legendary Knight, the blockheaded Peng Yan was completely unaffected by this minor Charm Power, so no trouble arose.

As for Pei Ze, a true succubus couldn’t have tempted him, let alone this amateur version from Su Ya.

However, as her strength grew, the signs of her bloodline would surely become more pronounced. Pei Ze wouldn’t even be surprised if she sprouted a pair of wings one day.

"I need you to go to Red Maple City. Go to the exchange and get some things for me."

Pei Ze handed Su Ya a list and a crystal card.

Besides the Sacred Spirit Bud, the list detailed other materials, such as the Gemstones needed for magical tattoos and the auxiliary ingredients required to extract the Thunder Beast’s blood.

Pei Ze had very few Magic Stone Coins on him at the moment. All he had was a large amount of merit points, which he had earned from selling Mithril recently.

He had been using merit points to pay for all his recent purchases.

Su Ya accepted respectfully, taking the list and crystal card with both hands.

"Also," Pei Ze said, glancing at her and tossing her a Crystal Ball. "This contains an Advanced Meditation Technique. I want you to go back and practice it. Learn to rein in your spiritual fluctuations as quickly as possible."

A succubus’s natural Charm Power is, in essence, a type of outwardly radiating spiritual fluctuation.

Once you learn to control your Spiritual Power, restraining it isn’t difficult.

"An Advanced Meditation Technique!"

Su Ya was taken aback, a hesitant expression crossing her face.

"But, Sir... when I was a Wizard Apprentice, I practiced the Universal Meditation Technique. The results weren’t very good..."

Su Ya flushed with embarrassment.

Her aptitude for Meditation was terrible. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have dropped out of the Wizard Academy to transfer to the Knight Academy.

Pei Ze shook his head. "Your Succubus Bloodline has started to awaken. Your spiritual aptitude now is likely superior to even some Third-level Wizard Apprentices. An Advanced Meditation Technique is perfect for you."

Succubi are natural-born spellcasters.

The spellcasting abilities of some powerful succubi are on par with those of Official Wizards.

Legend has it that the Demon Lord of the 570th layer of the Abyss, the Succubus Queen Meikanshute, is a being whose power rivals that of a Rule Wizard.

Although Su Ya couldn’t compare to a true succubus due to her bloodline’s impurity, she should have no problem practicing an Advanced Meditation Technique.

"I’m not asking you to become a Wizard. You just need to learn to restrain your Spiritual Power," Pei Ze said with a wave of his hand. "If you can manage to construct a Will Rune, you might even be able to learn a few spells."

At these words, Su Ya’s eyes instantly lit up.

Even as a Tier Two Legendary Knight, she still held a deep admiration and longing to be a Wizard.

Being able to learn spells would fulfill one of her dearest wishes.

Besides, it would be a significant boost to her combat abilities.

Even Zero-Circle Magic could be surprisingly effective against other Knights if cast at the right moment.

The Flash Skill, for instance, or the Dizziness Technique.

"I understand! Thank you, Sir!"

Clutching the Memory Crystal Ball, Su Ya left in excitement.

Pei Ze smiled and walked toward the underground mineral vein.

From hundreds of meters away, he could hear a cacophony of shouts and yells, punctuated by the roar of bellows—a scene of bustling, fiery activity.

The contract prevented the Hill Dwarves from causing trouble, but Pei Ze still made a point of showing up at the mineral vein periodically. It was a way to assert his presence and intimidate the unruly bunch.

After leaving the mineral vein, he turned and entered another stone house nearby.

The spacious stone house was bare, devoid of any furniture. A layer of dry hay on the floor was the only addition, turning it into a crude pen for a beast.

In a corner, a giant beast was dozing. It was shaped like a lion but as large as a carriage, with deep blue fur and a lightning bolt pattern on its forehead. Hearing a sound, it opened its eyes. Upon seeing Pei Ze, it immediately showed a human-like expression of disdain and turned its head away.

Pei Ze just smiled, unconcerned.

This was the Thunder Beast he had purchased from Linfeng City.

Su Ya had transported it all the way from Linfeng City in a Magic Bag designed for Magical Creatures.

When it was first released from the Magic Bag, the ill-tempered, ferocious Thunder Beast had tried to attack Pei Ze, only to get a sound thrashing.

It tried to resist again when he drew its blood, resulting in several more beatings.

After taking a few consecutive beatings and realizing it was no match for Pei Ze, the Thunder Beast finally resigned itself to its fate.

But resignation didn’t mean affection. Its attitude toward Pei Ze was anything but friendly. It was, however, much gentler with Peng Yan, who often brought it food.

Pei Ze didn’t care about the Thunder Beast’s attitude, though. All that mattered was that he could draw enough of its blood.

He drew two vials of blood, as usual. Amid the Thunder Beast’s disgruntled grunts, Pei Ze left the stone house and entered his adjacent laboratory.

In the center of the brightly lit laboratory stood a stone lab bench, crowded with all sorts of equipment that Pei Ze had Su Ya bring from Red Maple City.

He had built this lab specifically to process the Thunder Beast’s blood.

Of course, the Thunder Beast’s blood couldn’t be consumed directly. It had to undergo a series of preparations, mixed with various ingredients and concocted into a potion, before it could strengthen one’s constitution.

Aside from his cultivation, Pei Ze had been busy with this very task.

After three days of experimentation, he was now familiar with the entire process. Today, he planned to officially create his first full potion.

BUBBLE! BUBBLE!

The sound of boiling liquid echoed throughout the laboratory.

The blood in the beaker bubbled furiously, and tiny arcs of electricity occasionally crackled across its surface.

With nimble hands, Pei Ze added various prepared ingredients, stirring and filtering at intervals.

About half an hour later, the boiling liquid gradually settled, its color transforming from a blood-like crimson to a dazzling blue.

’It’s done.’

Pei Ze picked up the beaker. He examined it for a moment, his eyes bright with satisfaction, before raising the beaker and downing the liquid in a single gulp.

As the liquid entered his system, fine arcs of electricity erupted all over Pei Ze’s body. The beaker in his hand instantly shattered with a CRACK.

He quickly stepped back to avoid damaging the equipment on the lab bench, then focused his mind, taking in the changes in his body.

In the utter silence, Pei Ze could clearly feel his body growing stronger, bit by bit. The density of his muscles and bones was gradually increasing.

His perception of the surrounding Thunder Energy Particles grew more acute, to the point that he felt a faint tingling sensation on his skin.

A moment later, the strange sensation slowly faded.

Pei Ze opened his eyes and thought to himself,

’Omniscience, check my current status.’
