Chapter 100: Thoughts on Going Premium
After dragging my feet for so long, the book is finally going paid.
To be honest, I feel I’ve rather disappointed Jujiang for all their kind support.
Based on the book’s initial performance, I thought it was a flop. I never expected it to make a comeback, and I have no idea how long this momentum will last. But I’ll just keep writing at my own pace. Besides, my wife really enjoys reading it too.
So yesterday, I took some time to read my own book from start to finish. I have to say, the slice-of-life scenes are actually decent. Not as bad as I thought.
Maybe it’s because I’ve been with my wife for a long time, but whether I was writing *Fairy, stop playing around* or this new book, I can’t help but put a little of ourselves into it.
Some of the little details of their daily lives in the book are actually a reflection of our own.
That includes the drunken phone call Jiang Xia made. You all said it was just an act, but it really wasn’t. To this day, my wife still has evidence of my own drunken antics saved on her phone (don’t even think about asking her for it; I’d like to preserve what little dignity I have left).
Anyway, back to this book. It’s a slice-of-life story, focusing mainly on romance with a career subplot. There’s a single female lead, it’s all sweet and no angst, and there’s no NTR. You can read with an easy mind.
Although there’s a career-focused plotline, its main purpose is to pave the way for Jiang Xia and Lin Yanwan to remarry. As for when they’ll actually register their marriage again... why don’t you all take a guess? (Haha).
Right now, the book has just over 10,000 adds to library. I’m not expecting a huge number of initial subscribers, but I do hope that every single one of you reading this is a true supporter!!!!
Otherwise, how will I earn enough royalties to support my wife!
(Yes, I know Xiao Man belongs to all of you. I won’t fight you for her.)
After the book goes paid, I’ll set a small goal for myself: 6,000 characters a day. Feel free to hold me to it.
(Though I might be a little busy on my wedding day.)
I’m also hoping for over a thousand initial subscribers. If we can hit that, I can guarantee I’ll keep writing this story to the end. As for donations, I’ll write a 2,000-character bonus for every ’Helmsman’ tier donor, and yes, they stack.
My wife said that if this book ever achieves ’Boutique’ status in the future, she’ll make me wear her wedding dress for all of you to see.
I don’t think that day will ever come.
What?
You want to "help make every dream come true"?
No, please don’t. I have my pride, you know.
And finally.
To all my dear readers, I hope you’ll consider subscribing tomorrow so I can make a living. For those of you who have the means but might not have the time, you can turn on auto-subscribe now so you don’t forget later.
Subscriptions +1+1+1+1+1+...+1
In any case, regardless of how things turn out tomorrow, I’m very grateful that this book has brought us all together.
See you all tomorrow at 12 PM sharp.
Nanfeng bows in gratitude.
