Chapter 101: Chapter 101: CP Can Be Unusual But Not Immoral

Ji Tian had nearly been strangled to death by him. She was 165 cm tall, but Quan Jingyou was 175 cm, and she was caught off guard when the youngster locked his arm around her throat. She grabbed onto Qin Jiangsheng’s arm with one hand to steady herself and gritted her teeth, “Let go!”

“Uuuuu, don’t.”

Ji Tian: “…”

Who the hell are you pretending to be cute for!

In the darkness, Qin Jiangsheng frowned slightly, his tea-colored eyes gradually becoming dangerous, “Let go.”

His voice was much more threatening than Ji Tian’s sweet tone, and Quan Jingyou shivered, refusing to let go even though he was scared.

...

Qin Jiangsheng stepped between the two and forcibly separated them, grabbing Quan Jingyou’s collar with one hand and sneering, “So scared? Believe it or not, I’ll be the first to eliminate you later.”

Quan Jingyou, who was most scared of such things, blinked his somewhat moist eyes, “Is there such a good deal? Then please eliminate me quickly, I don’t want to stay here any longer.”

Qin Jiangsheng: “…”

He had to restrain himself time and again to curb the urge to strangle him.

Quan Jingyou, feeling insecure without holding onto someone, wrapped his arms around Qin Jiangsheng’s arm again, “Then can I hold you? Don’t push me away.”

[This is weird, a bit crazy, I must be losing my mind.]

[This night vision device looks creepy, and the electric candles are so eerily green. Not to mention Quan Jingyou, I think I’d pee my pants if I went in there.]

[Ha ha ha, he’s really the most timid blue boy I’ve ever seen, so cute.]

[Folks, why do I feel like Qin Jiangsheng is getting a bit jealous? Is it my imagination, or when Quan Jingyou hugged him, he almost couldn’t hide the murderous look in his eyes…]

[I didn’t see it coming, these two have no couple vibes at all. If there’s anyone with strong couple vibes, it’s Bai Shen, and Mr. Gong is there too, what a chaotic scene.]

Qin Jiangsheng felt the burden on his arms, one on each side.

Both were heavy burdens…

“Click.”

Suddenly a screen was projected in front of them, displaying blood-red text along with a ghostly, mournful female voice.

“My name is Tan Xiaodie, and the year is 2007, October 1st, my wedding day, and also the day of my death.

I was born into a wealthy family, with four older brothers and two older sisters. I am the youngest child, adored by my parents and dearly loved by my siblings. On the day of my wedding, my father and mother decided together to give me fifteen percent of the company’s shares as my dowry, and after they passed away, I would inherit their fortune worth billions.

My husband’s last name is Gong. He isn’t from a prestigious family, but I couldn’t bear to have him marry into mine, so I resolutely married out. At 9:05 AM, he picked me up to go to the church. Traffic delays made us thirty minutes late, but before noon, we held the ceremony. It was the happiest moment of my life until a gunshot, and I fell into a pool of blood. Before I died, I saw my husband’s panicked, desperate face, my parents’ screams, and several of my brothers and sisters rushing to my side…”

The female voice turned into an electronic buzz, followed by chaotic footsteps and the crowd’s screams.

“Hello, hello, hello, is anyone there? There’s a dead person here, yes, dead. Location? 81 Shunyang Avenue, inside Nanming Castle. The deceased? The deceased is my sister, and I’m her elder brother. Doctor, come quickly and save her!”

The voice switched to a male voice and then back to a female voice.

“Somebody took advantage of the chaos to throw my body to the top of the castle. After I died, I became a vengeful spirit, and eventually, the castle was abandoned. I can’t accept this. Can you help me find the real murderer? Where has my Mr. Gong gone? Why haven’t my family come to take me home? You have only twenty minutes to leave the first floor; if you exceed the time, I’ll come looking for you.”

The screen turned blood-red with a countdown, starting from twenty minutes. Quan Jingyou broke into a cold sweat.

Unable to resist, he wiped the sweat from his forehead with his sleeve. “What kind of human suffering is this? It would be better to just die and reincarnate rather than bother others!”

Ji Tian spoke up, “There shouldn’t be anything terrifying on the first floor, but after twenty minutes, who knows if there will be any staff disguised as NPCs. Let’s look around, see if we can find any devices or mechanisms.”

“Finding the murderer of this ghost bride is secondary, we need to figure out how to get to the opposite castle, so there must be a complete map of the castle somewhere.”

Yu Chuang suddenly had an epiphany, realizing he had been thinking about how to catch the murderer behind everything and had forgotten that their ultimate mission was to get to the opposite castle.

Everyone except Quan Jingyou scattered to the corners to look for clues.

Qin Jiangsheng held an electric candle, his tone chilly and impatient, “How much longer are you going to drag this out?”

Quan Jingyou struggled for a while before blurting out, “…I hope until the end of time.”

Qin Jiangsheng: “…”

Barrage:[…]

[Is this strong person locking a man up?]

[No no no, this is about facing the man and bravely going forward. If you guys really have nothing better to do, why not ship Third Young Master Quan with the ghost bride? Just thinking about it feels thrilling.]

[This sudden shift in style, haha, the ship can be unpopular but not evil, this is hilarious. Just look at the ‘I ate shit’ expression on Qin Jiangsheng’s face, it’s proof enough of how disgusted he is.]

“If you don’t want to fail the task, then help look for clues. I don’t have all the time in the world to waste here with you.”

Qin Jiangsheng shrugged off Quan Jingyou and started searching under the guest chairs for clues. Quan Jingyou weighed his options and decided to seek protection from Ji Tian, knowing she was strong and probably could beat any ghost in here.

“Hey, there’s a box here,” Wen Jiangxue called out as she ran to the foot of the emcee, pulling out a locked box labeled with a number one.

“Too bad it needs a four-digit code to open.”

Ji Tian was examining the lock on the door called “road to happiness” leading to the second floor, which also required a four-digit code. Seeing that Wen Jiangxue had found a clue, she walked straight over.

The box was small and delicate, and Ji Tian shook it lightly, noticing a faint sound inside.

“I’ve also found a box, labeled with a one, and there’s a note inside.”

Qin Jiangsheng came over; he had found the box.

Wen Jiangxue didn’t care if the steps were dirty anymore; she sat down on them, “Let’s just guess, I think the murderer is the elder brother. Typically, elder brothers are up to no good.”

He Chenxi responded, “…Sister Jiangxue, that’s quite a rush to judgment, her elder brother was even trying to call and save her. I think the murderer is her husband.” She scoffed, “You never know the true face of the person beside you.”

Yu Chuang’s forehead twitched, “Maybe it’s just a smokescreen, there are other characters who haven’t appeared yet. Let’s watch and see.”

The group gathered their electric candles together, and the note Qin Jiangsheng found was left by the ghost’s eldest sister.

It was her personal account:

[Huh, it hadn’t even been seven days after Xiaodie’s death, and those five started fighting over the fifteen shares registered in Xiaodie’s name. Seeing this, our parents tried to intervene to no avail and, in a fit of anger, decided to donate all the inheritance to the orphanage. But why should they?]
