Chapter 2114: Chapter 546: Mark Is Not a Bad Guy
Everyone here is a top player, who doesn’t want to win a championship to prove themselves?
Compared to Courtois screwing Chelsea so they could only buy out Kay’s contract, van Persie’s situation is actually not that bad; his bad reputation mainly comes from him always saying he’d stay.
The atmosphere in the locker room was pretty good.
"See this? These are all custom jewelry catalogs."
Inzaghi waved a brochure around, showing off to his teammates.
"Planning to customize an engagement ring, Your Majesty?"
Ambrosini joked.
"A ring? Of course not!"
Inzaghi said dramatically: "Diamonds are just a scam cooked up by merchants, only gold really has value. I’m going to customize a crown and a scepter, and I want the gemstones on my crown to be more expensive than the Queen’s."
"Then I’m afraid you’re going to be disappointed."
Huang Kaiwen said: "I’ve seen Queen Mary’s crown; supposedly it’s worth close to 500 million British Pounds. I don’t think you’ve got that kind of money."
"Heh heh!"
Inzaghi laughed and said: "Of course I know that, that’s why I’ve reserved spots on it for gemstones. Once we march into the United Kingdom, we’ll just grab the British jewels and stick them on my crown."
Huang Kaiwen gave him a thumbs-up and quipped: "When you attack London, remember not to wreck my place. I spent a lot on the renovations."
"Relax, once we take Britain I’ll make you Prince Wales."
Inzaghi casually blurted out a title he’d heard somewhere.
Huang Kaiwen flipped him the middle finger.
He didn’t want to be Inzaghi’s heir, nor the British’s heir.
Prince Wales is the title the British royal family gives to the male heir.
Guardiola walked to the center of the locker room with a smile, clapped his hands and said: "Sorry to interrupt your discussion of state affairs, but I have to remind you: 3–1 doesn’t guarantee a win. In the second half you still need to keep scoring."
The locker room echoed with voices agreeing.
Messi hid off to the side, snickering.
He suddenly realized Guardiola had changed too.
Back in Barça, Guardiola would never so casually say that at 3–1 they still needed to keep scoring.
Looks like Milan is a magical city.
It can change everyone.
Halftime passed, and when they walked out of the locker room they happened to run into the Naples players.
There wasn’t any deep grudge between the two sides before, but today the emotions in the duels were running high.
Even the players who knew each other well didn’t greet one another and just headed out onto the pitch.
Early in the second half, Naples subbed in Andrea Dossena for Camilo Zuniga, looking to beef up their defense.
Dossena, this Italian wide midfielder, had a much higher tactical IQ than Zuniga, that strong and raw type.
Naples put together an attack, again starting with a long ball from the back.
This time Cavani in the middle laid it off to the right.
On the right, Maggio made the overlap and immediately drove to the byline for a cross.
Buffon charged off his line and snatched the ball right off Cavani’s face.
"Damn, Buffon’s reaction speed is really something."
"Some people say Buffon’s declining, but he’s still rock solid."
With the ball in his hands, Buffon threw it out with one arm toward the center circle.
Inler was the first to get into position behind Ibrahimovic, and Ibrahimovic also flicked it on with a header. Huang Kaiwen made a diagonal run and gently lifted his foot to take the ball in stride.
As soon as Huang Kaiwen got the ball, the Naples players started sprinting back like mad.
Messi didn’t burst forward right away; instead he drifted around near Huang Kaiwen.
Huang Kaiwen gave him a look, and Messi immediately accelerated and darted forward.
Pa—
Facing Zemayeli, Huang Kaiwen tapped the ball with his right foot, then used the inside of his right foot to hook it back.
Before Zemayeli could adjust his balance, Huang Kaiwen swung his right foot again and knocked the ball out.
The ball rolled perfectly into Messi’s path.
Messi was just about to take off when the tracking-back Lavezzi crashed into him hard from behind and sent him to the ground.
The referee again rushed in to calm both sides down, but still didn’t book Lavezzi.
Having escaped punishment, Lavezzi hid behind his teammates and shot a provocative look at the Milan Players.
"You motherfucker!"
Ramos wanted to throw a punch, but Huang Kaiwen quickly held him back.
Lately his good brother’s reputation really hadn’t been great, especially with the Catalans making a big deal in the media about him not being punished.
If he threw a punch now, the Italian Football Federation’s suspension wouldn’t be light.
"You take the free kick."
Huang Kaiwen said to Messi.
He wanted Messi to bag one and slap them in the face.
But this spot was a bit far out and close to the touchline, and Messi’s free kick didn’t hit the target.
On the way back.
Lavezzi still made sure to give Huang Kaiwen another provocative look.
Huang Kaiwen really wanted to just plant a boot in this bastard.
But before Huang Kaiwen could make a move, Naples pushed the ball back upfield.
Lavezzi had barely crossed the halfway line when the already primed Van Bommel sprinted fifteen meters, both feet up, and scythed Lavezzi brutally into touch.
