"Of course." Luo Ke looked at her face, "But don’t go far, okay?!"
Luo Xiaoqian nodded and turned to walk towards the door.
Luo Ke followed her out and immediately signaled with his chin to a subordinate standing by the door, "Protect the madam."
Nominally protection, but actually surveillance.
Now, Luo Ke felt uncertain whether her current condition was real or fake.
Watching her go downstairs, Luo Ke immediately went to the room next door.
Inside the room, Dr. Yin Yi sat wearily on the sofa. This time hypnotizing Luo Xiaoqian was even harder than the last time with Leng Zimo.
In her heart, there were deeply rooted memories of Leng Zimo, especially her subconscious self-protection which caused significant difficulties in the hypnosis.
Seeing Luo Ke come in, Dr. Yin Yi hastily stood up from the sofa.
"What happened?" Luo Ke grabbed his collar abruptly, his voice rising sharply, "What did you do that made things turn out this way?!"
"What’s wrong?!" Dr. Yin Yi asked, puzzled.
Luo Ke tightened his grip on the collar, "She not only doesn’t remember me, she doesn’t even know who she is! How exactly did you hypnotize her?!"
"This..." Dr. Yin Yi was stunned, "How could this be?"
Grabbing him and pushing him against the wall, Luo Ke held his throat tightly, "You did it on purpose, didn’t you?!"
"No, I really didn’t..." Yin Yi gasped, struggling for air, "Everything you... you were watching... I... I couldn’t possibly... tamper with..."
"Then why is it like this?" Luo Ke asked angrily, "Why does she still reject my affection, why?!"
Earlier, when Dr. Yin Yi was hypnotizing Luo Xiaoqian, he was watching through the glass all along. The glass wasn’t soundproof; he could hear every word Dr. Yin Yi said clearly, and Luo Ke didn’t find any signs of deception.
However, the result was so far from his expected outcome. After expending so much effort and taking such big risks, Luo Xiaoqian still rejected his affection; Luo Ke was truly disappointed.
Dr. Yin Yi was already on the verge of suffocation, only able to breathe heavily and speechless, when Luo Ke suddenly pushed him down on the ground.
"Give me a reasonable explanation, or I’ll throw your daughter into the sea to feed the sharks right now!"
"Cough!" Dr. Yin Yi started to cough violently, finally catching his breath and sitting down after a while, "I said before that such hypnosis carries great risks. Her memories of Leng Zimo are very deep, and she knew I was going to hypnotize her; at a subconscious level, she has been resisting my hypnosis... Based on my experience, her memories probably haven’t integrated yet..."
"Then when will they integrate?!"
"I don’t know either." Dr. Yin Yi sat up, "Maybe soon, maybe she’ll never recover!"
"You’re saying I might never be able to touch her?!" Luo Ke suddenly lifted a foot and stepped on him, bending down, those emerald green eyes staring at him like a snake, "Do it again. This time, I won’t allow any failure."
"That’s impossible, her brain couldn’t stand it." Dr. Yin Yi shouted back, "A human brain isn’t a computer that can be casually formatted; there needs to be at least a month’s gap between hypnotisms, otherwise she’ll really go insane!"
