Chapter 799: Chapter 643: Acceptance and Growth (3)

At first Yu Xian didn’t get it, so he asked her curiously, "Why do you keep sending me this sticker?"

Ning Youguang answered, "Because I hope everything in your life can come to you as easily, joyfully, and full of glory as this."

Yu Xian’s heartstrings trembled slightly. "Can I really?"

"Why not?" Ning Youguang answered him very firmly at the time.

She said, "Yu Xian, every life comes into this world already whole and abundant. It’s just that later, we run into all kinds of obstacles, and we end up making ourselves broken and incomplete. We let our bright inner eyes get covered over, and we start to think we’re small and fragile. But we need to know, this broken, imperfect, unhappy, incomplete life has never been what life really is. Life, in its original form, is complete in itself. The premise is that you have to trust it. You have to firmly believe that you are good, firmly believe that you deserve all the goodness in this world, that you deserve infinite love and energy. The human heart is the universe; your heart is your world. Everything in this world shifts with your mind—so what could possibly be impossible?"

Thinking of this, Yu Xian felt a warm current flash through his whole body.

His smile became more open. "Today my mom even said, if he’s willing, once I’m done with work this year, I should bring him home with me for New Year."

"Wow, does he know?" Ning Youguang felt that the change in Yu Xian’s mom was truly earth‑shattering.

"I haven’t told him yet." Yu Xian slowly shook his head. "I don’t know if he’ll want to."

"Of course he will." Ning Youguang smiled slyly. "He loves you so much—how could he not want to go home with you for New Year?"

—"Only an idiot would pass up that chance."

Yu Xian pressed his lips together, smiling without saying anything.

But Ning Youguang knew he was really, really happy.

"When are you planning to tell him?"

"I’ll wait a bit." Yu Xian said, "I’ll wait till he finishes this shoot. I don’t want to distract him. There’s still more than a month before New Year, no rush."

Ning Youguang smiled and asked again, "When will this drama of his finish shooting?"

"He said they can wrap before the Spring Festival, so by then he can spend New Year with me in peace."

"Everything is the best arrangement!" As the "family" on his side, Ning Youguang was truly full of praise for that silly guy’s good luck in Yu Xian’s family. "Gotta admit, fools really do have fool’s luck."

Seeing the teasing on Ning Youguang’s face, Yu Xian smiled a bit sheepishly. "It’s my good luck, meeting him."

"No, no, no, it’s his blessing." Ning Youguang kept joking. "With a temper like his, he somehow still has such good taste—found a ’wife’ who’s not only beautiful, but has a great personality, and is good at tea art and cooking."

Being praised by Ning Youguang like that, Yu Xian blushed. "I’ll go get the ingredients for the hotpot ready."

Shi Wangyue watched Yu Xian walk out, looking a bit like he was fleeing in embarrassment, and curved his lips in a faint smile. "Sis, if you hadn’t added those three words ’good at cooking,’ I really would’ve thought you were praising yourself just now."

"In your dreams!"

Ning Youguang lifted her beautiful eyes, giving Shi Wangyue beside her a sidelong glance full of soft feeling.

She’d let her guard down!

Karma came back around, and now it was her turn.

...

Late at night.

They had just left "Wujian Zizai" and were on the way home.

Ning Youguang sat in the passenger seat, watching the neon flicker ahead, and reminisced about the earlier warmth with Shi Wangyue. "The rhythm and vibe tonight were really just so beautiful."

"The environment there is pretty good."

The three of them had curled up in a private room; there weren’t many people, but the atmosphere was warm enough and heartfelt enough.

Shi Wangyue could feel that Yu Xian was a sincere person.

No wonder he and Ning Youguang had been able to maintain such a deep friendship for so many years.

The hot soup pot tonight was great too.

Yu Xian had used free‑range chicken and Nuodeng ham to make the broth, without adding any seasonings.

So this pot of soup had chicken that was tender and fresh, broth that was rich and delicious, and the flavor of the ham was cooked to just the right point.

As Shi Wangyue was thinking this, he suddenly realized the gentle, warm voice in his ear had gone quiet. When he turned his head, he saw that the person who had been so excited just a moment ago had somehow fallen asleep, leaning against the car seat.

He lifted his hand and gently raised the car’s air‑conditioning temperature by a few degrees, then started driving even more steadily.

His sister was right; there really had been many wonderful moments tonight.

Whether it was huddling around the stove drinking tea, eating hotpot, or watching the snow through the window, each one made his heart feel indescribably soothed.

So even though he hadn’t said much the whole time and mostly just quietly listened to the two of them talk about acceptance and growth, he still felt a kind of magical connection.

That strange feeling was something he couldn’t put into words.

But he knew with perfect clarity that he loved every moment of the present more than any other time.

God, thank you for all the beautiful encounters in this world. 1314
