Chapter 51: Chapter 51: Then Please Take Off Your Clothes~

Bai Zhi shoved him onto the bed.

The sudden move caught Hu Yan so off guard that he momentarily forgot to resist.

Bai Zhi saw the surprise and panic in Hu Yan’s eyes. It was the first time she had ever seen the cool, noble Hu Yan wear such an expression, and in that instant, the nervousness she’d felt moments ago vanished.

A mischievous glint appeared in Bai Zhi’s eyes as she said softly, "Weren’t you just asking me how to cooperate? Well, you can start by taking off your clothes..."

Her voice lilted upwards at the end, the playful mischief on her face undeniable.

As she looked down on him, Hu Yan’s Adam’s apple bobbed. Though his light blue eyes were clear, something flickered in their depths.

The room was large, but the temperature around them continued to climb.

The moment Bai Zhi finished speaking, their positions were reversed. She let out a small cry, "Oof—"

Her long hair was a mess, her skin porcelain-white. Piece by piece, clothes fell to the floor below—it was impossible to tell whose they were, or perhaps they belonged to both of them.

Hu Yan had sealed the room with his spiritual power, cutting it off from the outside world.

Soft moans filled the room, eventually turning into whimpers and sobs.

By the end, Bai Zhi couldn’t even lift her arms. Her limbs feebly pushed at the man on top of her. "No... more..."

’I was wrong! So, so wrong!’

She had only wanted to tease the cool, noble Hu Yan and see him flustered, but she had accidentally gone too far.

’Who was it that said men like him were hard to seduce?’

The night passed. When Bai Zhi woke the next morning, she tried to move but found her whole body was completely limp. This was nothing like the first time; she now knew what it felt like to be exhausted to death’s door.

Just as she was about to get up, she noticed an arm draped over her waist. ’So that’s why I feel so heavy,’ she thought.

She glanced at Hu Yan, who was still fast asleep with his eyes closed, and prepared to move his arm so she could get up.

The next instant, the large hand on her waist tightened, and she was involuntarily pulled back down.

She fell back into a warm embrace.

As their skin touched, Bai Zhi couldn’t help but let out a muffled hiss. "Sss-ngh—"

Hu Yan opened his eyes and saw Bai Zhi’s predicament. He recalled feeling the warmth in his arms about to slip away and instinctively reaching to pull it back, not realizing it was Bai Zhi he had just yanked back into bed.

His gaze fell on the various marks covering her body. His light blue eyes flickered, and with a movement that was both natural and slightly flustered, he pulled the blanket up over her and said softly, "Sorry."

He then sat up, and, remembering the marks he had just seen, asked in a gentlemanly tone, "Do you need any help?"

Bai Zhi hadn’t expected him to wake up. Hearing his question and feeling the soreness in her body, she blushed and silently pulled the blanket up a little higher. "N-No, I’m fine."

Trying to change the subject, Bai Zhi asked, "Have you checked your spiritual power? See if there’s any change."

Hu Yan was taken aback for a moment, then closed his eyes to carefully sense his spiritual power. After his power had been degraded, it hadn’t changed in the slightest for several years.

Suddenly, his eyes snapped open, his light blue irises filled with astonishment. He was so shocked his voice came out hoarse. "It grew."

Then, he added with conviction, "My spiritual power grew!"

He then held out his hand, gathering his spiritual power in his palm. It wasn’t much, but he could clearly feel the change.

He had thought his spiritual power would be stagnant for the rest of his life. He never imagined there would come a day when it would actually grow again. The excitement in his heart was palpable.

When Bai Zhi heard that his spiritual power had grown, a smile spread across her face. "That’s great."

Hu Yan retracted his spiritual power and looked over at her. "And you?"

She hadn’t expected Hu Yan to ask about her. Bai Zhi froze for a second; she had assumed only his would increase, so she hadn’t paid any attention to her own spiritual power. But when she checked, she discovered that hers had grown as well. To put it simply, if her spiritual power was originally one centimeter long, it was now almost two.

Bai Zhi sat up in pleasant surprise, her voice rising in excitement as she shared the good news with Hu Yan. "It grew! My spiritual power grew, too!!"

A smile appeared on Hu Yan’s face.

Bai Zhi hadn’t lowered her voice, so the few people lingering outside the door heard everything.

The door to her room was suddenly flung open. The smile on Yan Yichen’s face froze when he saw the two people on the bed.

At the sound, Bai Zhi and Hu Yan both turned to look toward the door.

Yue Junxiao shoved him aside and poked his head in from behind, asking excitedly, "Did your spiritual power really grow?"

However, his gaze landed on Bai Zhi. Because she had sat up, the blanket had slipped, revealing her fair skin. After taking the Elixir, her skin had become exceptionally smooth and pale, which made the many purple and blue bruises covering her body seem all the more shocking.

Yue Junxiao’s pupils contracted. "!!!"

"You two...!!"

Sang Mo’s eyes also flashed with shock when he saw the scene inside.

Seeing the people at the door, Hu Yan was the first to react. He yanked the fallen blanket up, covering Bai Zhi completely. "Get out!"

His instinctive reaction snapped Lang Qiu out of his daze. He pulled the other two out of the room and shut the door behind them.

BANG—

The sound of the door slamming shut was deafening.

Bai Zhi’s face was bright red with humiliation. She buried her head under the blankets.

Hu Yan could see she was too embarrassed to face anyone. "They’re gone," he said. "I’m leaving too. Come out and get some air; don’t suffocate yourself."

He then got out of bed, dressed, and walked out the door.

Meanwhile, Lang Qiu and the others outside the door were still reeling. This was supposed to be about increasing spiritual power, so how did those two end up in bed together?

Bai Zhi had said her spiritual power could help them improve their own. They had been so excited about the possibility that they hadn’t slept well all night, and had come to wait for her this morning.

They hadn’t heard any commotion all night, so when they finally heard the excited cries about spiritual power growing, they had immediately opened the door. Who could have imagined they would walk in on a scene like that?

Yue Junxiao’s eyes were red by the time he was pulled out. He couldn’t quite put a name to his feelings—a mix of anxiety, anger, and a sense of being wronged. Yet, he knew he had no right to feel this way.

But he couldn’t help it, nor could he understand why.

Although Yan Yichen was still inexperienced in such matters, he had heard others talk about it. Seeing the marks on Bai Zhi’s body, he could guess what had happened last night.

He muttered under his breath, his eyes filled with curiosity, "Weren’t they increasing their spiritual power...? How did it turn into..."

He didn’t finish his sentence, but everyone knew what he was going to say.

Hearing Yan Yichen’s words, Yue Junxiao’s expression darkened, and his thin lips pressed into an even tighter line.
