Chapter 21: Interlink[r]
"I’ll bring you as your key"
Iniko panted as she waved to other attendants. K’s now fiery eyes watched her every moment like a predator stalking prey,
"Come, show him"
The two attendants nodded and slowly stripped each other of their clothings and moved toward each other, their obsidian bodies colliding with a wet thud. They began to kiss with a violent hunger, their tongues clashing, saliva stringing between them. One attendant gripped the other’s ass, her gold runes flaring as she pulled her partner close.
"Watch us, Other Kind," the attendant gasped between kisses. "Learn how how to harness your key."
Iniko wrapped her legs around K’s waist, pulling him closer into the pool. She guided his cock to her entrance, the tip brushing against her soaking wet folds. A loud, wet squelch echoed as she slid down onto him, taking him in one slow, agonizingly tight motion.
"O-ohh~"
K growled and seized her by her waist, his elongated nails digging into her flesh,
"We must help the Priestess open her gate."
They reached out, their hands finding K and Iniko, adding their touch to the fray. One attendant’s hand slid over K’s chest, her gold runes searing his skin, while the other licked at Iniko’s neck while teasing her clit, their tongues leaving trails of heat behind.
Iniko began convulsing, her eyes rolling to white as the ring completed itself. K soon followed, both of them seizing.
"It’s complete"
The attendants quickly separated the two of them before sinking K into the pond,
"Find the Fallen Star, she awaits"
—————
When the heavens shed their final light,
And stars descend beyond the night,
Seek not the crown nor seek the throne,
But find the heart that beats alone.
Child of silence, child of flame,
The cosmos carved your hidden name.
Walk the path no soul has trod,
Half of man... and half of a god.
Decend below the stars
When oceans part and forests bow,
Remember not your sorrow now.
For every wound the heavens keep,
Will wake the stars from ancient sleep.
When all forget the skies above,
Return with neither hate nor love.
Carry dawn where night has been...
Until the stars... may fall again...
"Will my stars fall again?"
K woke with a start.
He remembered being led into a large treehouse but that was it and yet he was back here...in the white void.
"At last"
He turned to face the familiar voice. "You..."
Shira stood. Although she looked different now. Her once pale skin was a blueish hue and her rings were missing especially the one that stood upright behind her head.
"I will fulfill the end of my bargain for you have fulfilled yours. Khae’el. I am Oni’Ik Shira, the goddess of love and fertility or rather I was. As you can see this form is the deteriorated one of me, I have lost several rings in trying to bring you here. I have lost a lot of rings trying to bring others here."
"Tell me what I came here for..."
"What?"
"You said Thira was lying to me"
"Huh..."
Shira tilted her head, confusion written all over her face,
"What do mean ’huh’? You said you’d tell me everything if I came here to retrieve your body for you"
"Indeed, I must have. Oh dear me, I must have lost the memory of me telling you that with the rings I burnt to bring you here."
"What do you mean by that?"
He rushed forward, grabbing her by her arm. Shira wobbled, another ring of hers disintegrated.
"What is happening to you?"
"Get me out of here, the key’s gate is still open. You have to pull me out from the springs in which you lay."
"What? How am I supposed to do that?"
"You must c-connect...link yourself"
Saying so she collapsed into him, losing another ring as well.
K tightened his grip around her wrist.
"Link myself to what?"
Shira tried to answer, but the words caught in her throat. Another pale ring behind her shattered into glittering fragments that dissolved into the endless white.
K tightened his grip around her wrist holding her up.
"Link myself to what?"
Shira tried to answer, but the words caught in her throat. Another ring behind her shattered into glittering fragments that dissolved into the endless white causing a fracture in the white void they stood in.
It was then K noticed the state of the place. The tree he had seen her at the first time was completely withered devoid of those pink petals, cracks lined the space stretching infinitely.
"Hu...rry"
Decend blow the stars .
K spotted a crack and picked up the unconscious Shira.
Quickly he struck it forcing the crack wider, it gave way to an endless looking mix of abyss and twinkling material.
Stars.
Holding onto her, he leapt.
Darkness rushed at him.
———
Hurry
You must hurry
Connect
Me
Darkness gave way to the most beautiful yet terrifying sight ever. The feeling of falling morphed into that of floating.
Beneath him lay Shira but a 100 times or so bigger. Her gigantic form filling the space. Silver plating crawling up her face each time a ring rotated around her.
Petrification.
She lay chained to the ground. Several rings surrounding her like a barrier.
"What is this?"
"Trapped."
"It’s so cold"
"Who did this to us?"
"Why?"
Multiple layered voices wailed from the rings,
"Set me free from this misery, I beg of you!"
"Aaaaaaaahhhh"
K tossed her onto his shoulder and began punching through the rings. Each burst and disintegration set his ears and skin on fire, one agonizing wail after the other.
Blood oozed from all the holes he had on his face by the time he broke through. His heart thumping wildly and irregularly as if it might burst.
"Fuck!"
He gripped his chest, his consciousness slipping.
A cardiac arrest.
"No..."
He slammed a bloody fist into his chest, blood spluttering out of his mouth.
Again.
Again.
Until he felt his vision returning but it wasn’t enough. Unable to hold on for long, he slid her off his shoulder and kicked her as hard as he could with enough force for her to hit her giant form.
He watched with blackness spotting his vision as Shira’s body floated inches away from her original form, missing contact.
"Fuck"
