In an instant, the close-in defense guns on the Rust Wall spewed flames, the sound of firepower almost tearing at eardrums, as bullets like raindrops killed the first batch of rushing refugees, leaving blood everywhere.
This brutal barrage pushed the refugees back beyond the fire recognition zone, trapped with beasts breaching behind and dead zones ahead, each one waving desperately at the Rust Wall Defense Team, pleading for salvation.
