Chapter 45: Meeting Starts

Jovan looked completely different after suppressing his powers and taking on a normal human appearance.

He had black hair, cream-peach skin, a slim figure, and a face that oozed feebleness and gentleness.

The strange part was the black uneven spots on his skin. Three on his face that couldn’t be hidden no matter what kind of item or technique Aidan used.

"So what do you know about this Cursed Vessel?" Aidan asked before taking a sip from the tea that Solenne had just served him and Jovan.

"Not much, except that it came from an Origin Tomb." Jovan answered, paused, took a sip, gathered his thoughts, and continued. "The information related to this is limited in my memory. Origin Tombs are unique dimensions that contain the legacies of those who left them behind in their world. As you know, the Nine Realms Tree consists of nine realms, and each of these realms houses hundreds of smaller realms like the one we are in."

"The war with Terroreign has been ongoing for ages, and since the beginning, the Nine Realms Tree has been losing." Jovan smiled wryly. "Even mighty figures capable of destroying small realms died fighting against Terroreign. The Nine Realms Tree makes sure that such powerhouses don’t die in vain. It creates Origin Tombs for them to pass their legacies to other people."

Aidan raised his eyebrows. "Interesting. So this Colored King Black died, and now you got his legacy?"

Jovan sighed. "If only it were that simple. The thing is... Once upon a time, there were extremely powerful beings and their forces reigning at the top of the Nine Realms Tree before Terroreign came to invade it. Among these powerful forces was an organization known as the Colored Thrones. Their leaders were the Seven Colored Kings. Black King, White King, Red King, Yellow King, Green King, Violet King, and Blue King."

"The first major war, where Terroreign invaded with full force, resulted in our clear loss. All the top powerhouses of the Nine Realms Tree died fighting against Terroreign. At that time, the Nine Realms Tree hadn’t evolved to create Origin Tombs just yet, but it was evolving due to this threat. However, Terroreign was an expert at converting death and using souls to fuel its power. It corrupted the powers of those beings that the Nine Realms Tree had preserved, turning them into vessels upon which Terror Kings could descend."

Jovan sighed, his voice weary. "Of course, the Nine Realms Tree made sure that if these cursed legacies went to the right people, they would be able to suppress and eventually refine the curse and make this power theirs. But I... I failed."

[It seems he is misinformed about this. The truth is that the Nine Realms Tree deliberately let Terroreign infuse curses into these legacies because they kept a connection to Terroreign that was hard to invade. Terroreign could invade us easily, but we couldn’t do the same. We have yet to even discover the true shape and size of Terroreign, let alone its location. Not all legacies are cursed, but many are. And it is true that capable individuals can overturn the curse and master the legacy.]

The program’s system sounded frustrated.

’Eh? So we can use the legacies to find a way to Terroreign?’

[That’s one of the multiple plans to find Terroreign. The Nine Realms Tree is growing and adapting fast via the Transcendent Player Program. This program is the final hope. The first war resulted in the death of one of the nine Realm Rulers, and this program was created through his sacrifice. The other eight rulers are all suppressing major breaches without rest. Things look stalled for now, but we are not in control because we are already at our limit. The only thing that can change the situation is Transcendent Players.]

"But I won’t give up." Jovan clenched his fists. "I will conquer this Cursed Vessel and master the powers of Colored King Black."

"You can do it as long as you don’t give up." Aidan grinned.

Jovan nodded. "Also, I’ll make sure that my other talent’s effect don’t bring trouble to you, but it can sometimes still trigger, so just be more careful from now on."

"No worries. I like trouble. It’s another form of entertainment for me." Aidan laughed.

"They are here." Solenne muttered as she looked up.

A giant spaceship stretching 17 kilometers long. It was like seeing an interstellar mobile city.

"That’s Cloud Whirl’s symbol." Jovan narrowed his eyes, which were beginning to tremble. "If they really let me have this Colored King Black legacy just to trigger its failure and wipe out my planet, my people... I will destroy them."

Aidan blinked and asked, "You mean the whole alliance and its population?"

Jovan looked at Aidan. "If I am really going to do that, you better kill me. Because that would not be me, but the Terror King trying to descend into my body. All I want is the blood of those scheming bastards and bitches."

"Got it."

Tom jumped on Aidan’s shoulder. "Master, it’s time for the mysterious Divine-rank powerhouse’s student to appear for the meeting."

Aidan laughed. "Fun time."

"You two, get inside the exotic space and watch from there."

Jovan and Tom disappeared.

"Solenne, you go to Beatrix. I’ll tell her to give you the location of a Tier-8 Terror Tear or Terrorized Dimension."

Solenne nodded. "Understood."

She was a substitute for Aidan.

The guild thought Aidan was going to clear the Terror Tear, but it was actually Solenne.

Only Beatrix knew the truth, and she made sure nobody found out about it.

Tom made sure Aidan’s tracks stayed hidden from all eyes and senses at all times.

...

A mini airship detached from the giant spaceship and floated next to the Global Hunters Association’s headquarters, which was a tall, giant tower.

The thirteen Legendary-rank Hunters and five other Epic-rank people who held positions governing the world were at the top of the tower.

From the Cloud Whirl Galactic Alliance’s ship, only seven people exited.

Each of them was a Legendary-rank powerhouse.

One of them was even someone who had participated in the challenge yesterday and defeated the 1st-ranked Guild Leader—Kaelen Drextaris.

"It seems the Divine-rank senior didn’t feel like showing up today either." A blue-haired woman leading the group spoke up.

She wore a white dress with icy-blue crystal embroidery and long sleeves, and had a cold demeanor on her face.

Suddenly, everyone’s eyes moved towards one point in the center between both groups.

Threads wove out of nowhere, increasing until they became a human-sized cocoon.

Then the cocoon’s threads dispersed, revealing a handsome young man with white hair, a dashing face, and honey-colored eyes.

Wearing a black shirt and black pants, he smiled and made a gentleman’s bow towards the Cloud Whirl group. "My Master naturally won’t attend these meetings with you folks. But he has sent me, his best disciple, to take part in it for the sake of this planet."

"The name is Garen. Just Garen. Pleasure to meet you." Garen then turned to the guild leaders and GHA executives with a smile. "And you too."

"Good enough. Let’s start the meeting right away. It won’t take long." The blue-haired woman stated indifferently.
