1757 A Trip To The Southern Continent

Grey and his father stayed in the cave for some time longer before Lucas told him the reason he wanted to see him.

"You want me to head to the Vaergahl Family?" Grey didn't expect his father to request such a thing from him. The truth is, he had some encounters with the Vaergahl Family.

When he first came to the Aurora Continent, the first place he visited was the Southern Continent where the O'Brien Family is located. The person who made him aware of the existence of the Aurora Continent was none other than Ellis who is from the O'Brien Family. At the time Grey appeared there, he accompanied Ellis on a mission where they wiped out some bandits. Surprisingly, he managed to acquire a powerhouse item there, and after refining it, the Vaergahl Family actually came to the O'Brien Family at the time due to this treasure.

Grey was able to heal Ellis' father who was poisoned by a miasma, and after healing him, he left the O'Brien Family. Before acquiring his Dragon scales and even his ice elemental domain, he was given a treasure by Ellis' father. It was only after he refined that treasure that he was able to create his water domain. Thinking about it, it has been quite a while since he saw Ellis.

"Yes, I'm supposed to head there for a meeting. But I won't get there until after the meeting." Lucas explained, he looked at Grey and added, "You don't have to worry about contributing to anything that will be said. All you need to do is show my will to be present there."

Hearing his father's explanation, Grey didn't think too much about it. This isn't the first time his father has sent him to head somewhere on his behalf, and these were places where his father was a hundred percent certain that Grey wouldn't be in any danger.

Grey didn't have any problems with doing this. This is an opportunity for him to visit Ellis once again, so he would definitely head there. It's not like he had anything to do at the moment. So after he was done conversing with his father, to his surprise, his father told him to leave immediately. Not just him, but his father was also headed somewhere else, and he left even before Grey could leave.

While standing in the same spot, looking down at the forest before him, he couldn't help but sigh. Now he understood why his father was unable to return after leaving all those years ago. Since he came in contact with his father again, he is almost always busy. Even the times he came to Grey's aid, there were things he was dealing with then, but assisting Grey wasn't a problem for him. Now that everyone knew that Grey was his son, he immediately gave up on some things and would rather send Grey on his behalf.

Grey didn't leave immediately, rather, he decided to leave the next day. He also didn't visit his mom and Cori. Although he wanted to see the duo, given his mother's personality, he was a thousand percent certain that they were doing fine. There was no harm in seeing them in a few months after returning from his journey. In truth, he had another group he wanted to meet, but at the moment, he could only hope that they were fine.

The little girl and her elder brother he left under the care of the triplets from the horned race were still in the region where the Dawson Family is located. It had been a while since he dealt with them, so he was a bit worried about how they were faring. They weren't staying in a region where top experts were always present; rather, he had them settle down in a place where they wouldn't be bothered. With his current strength, he could care less about the triplets from the horned race, but since he left them to care for the elder and younger siblings duo, he naturally wanted to check on them. If he had known that his father would not even let him get to the Dawson Manor, then he would've gone to see the group before even coming here. With no other choice, he placed this matter on hold.

….

A week later.

Grey was already close to entering the Southern Continent where the O'Brien and Vaergahl Families were located.

Before him was a mountain range he needed to travel through. From the information he gathered before getting here, he knew that there was a chance that he'd encounter some bandits here.

And to his surprise, two days after entering the mountain range, just a few hours away from exiting the mountain range, he was stopped by a group of bandits.

Grey had a nonchalant expression on his face as he studied the bandits that surrounded him. The strongest person was actually a Venerable. He almost didn't want to believe that this was a bandit group. Due to always meeting bandits who could at least cause him some trouble, and then suddenly meeting this group, he could kill with his eyes closed, he almost didn't believe there were bandits this weak.

A Peak Sage Plane Elementalist was the one who stopped Grey.

"Boy, hand over your space ring and you'll leave this place with your life." The Peak Sage Elementalist yelled after appearing in front of Grey.

Grey looked at him, a bit taken aback that a Sage Plane Elementalist would block his way. For some time, he was unable to even utter a word. Not that he was scared, but due to shock. He was most likely the only Sovereign a Sage Plane Elementalist would dare to have thoughts of robbing.

"You're sure that if I hand over my ring to you, you'll be able to hold onto it?" He asked, a bit amused.

He had already sensed the presence of the Venerable in this group of bandits. To his surprise, it was even a First stage Venerable. Even a Peak Stage Sovereign wouldn't dare to block his path.
