Chapter 163: Chapter 130: New Skill: Giant Shield Charge, Level 2 Knight
Earth Shield Skill is a Defense Class magic spell. Generally, its main purpose is defense, especially for blocking attacks from the Magic System.
However, it wasn’t impossible to use this spell for offense.
Even the Skill Scroll mentioned a way to control the Earth Shield to smash into targets, though it was only a brief mention, presumably to give a newcomer learning this spell for the first time some sort of offensive option.
But Lin Mo was different from ordinary Mages.
Besides being a Mage, he was also a Knight Professional.
And as everyone knows, the Knight Profession was all about using shields.
As it happened, Lin Mo had a Skill related to shields.
Shield Strike.
Through his previous experiments, he had already determined that this Skill wasn’t very demanding about the type of "shield" used. It didn’t have to be a large, formal shield; a Small Round Shield or even an Arm Shield would suffice.
’So, what about the shield from Earth Shield Skill?’
’If these two Skills really could be combined, not only would it give Earth Shield Skill an extra way to farm Skill Level, but it could even turn Shield Strike into a ranged Skill!’
He immediately put his thought into action. Lin Mo cast Earth Shield Skill, and earthy-yellow elements quickly gathered before him, forming a modest-sized Earth Shield. He then channeled his Qi and Blood and tried to use Shield Strike.
The familiar sensation arrived right on cue. Lin Mo’s eyes lit up, and he immediately used his Magic Power to control the Earth Shield, sending it smashing forward.
BANG! With immense force, the Goblin it struck was sent flying. The impact carried through to several of its companions behind it, hitting them so hard it felt like their internal organs had been rearranged.
This was clearly more power than Earth Shield Skill could possess on its own; it was the combined effect of Earth Shield Skill and Shield Strike!
The notifications that appeared before Lin Mo’s eyes proved this as well.

A look of joy spread across Lin Mo’s face. This success didn’t just mean he could farm Skill Level for two Skills at once; it also proved that combining Professional Skills from different Professions was entirely feasible.
In the future, he could use similar methods to develop more unique Techniques that were not only powerful but also faster to level up.

Like a child with a new toy, Lin Mo continuously experimented with the combination of these two Skills.
The Earth Shield, empowered by Shield Strike, was like a dump truck, sending several Goblins to their next life with every crash.
In just a short while, Earth Shield Skill leveled up.

However, as Earth Shield Skill leveled up, Lin Mo once again felt a slight strain on his Spirit. It was just a small amount, a far cry from the feeling of complete exhaustion from before. But, considering he might face stronger enemies later, he decided not to get greedy and stopped practicing the Skill for the time being.

While Lin Mo was fighting, the other Adventurers had also entered a heated battle.
The Goblins surging forward seemed endless, as if they could never all be killed.
Fortunately, most of the Adventurers here were quite strong. Even those who weren’t Professionals were capable fighters. Dealing with Ordinary Goblins was a breeze for them, and as long as their Physical Strength held out, they were unlikely to run into any trouble.

It was better to save her Magic Power, conserve her strength, and wait to provide Healing to injured Adventurers.
