Chapter 81: Chapter 81 Music Magic_1

The following day, after their breakfast, Qin Sisi once again examined the text message that Lan Di had sent. The message contained detailed information about Mrs. Wang Luo’s husband and son.

From a geographical perspective, Mr. Wang Luo’s son was closer to where Qin Sisi was located, so she decided to first locate the child.

Interestingly, Mrs. Wang Luo’s son was six years old when she passed away. After numerous reincarnations, her son, who is now living in a remote mountainous town in the neighboring province, is also six years old. He was supposedly attending first grade in the village’s Hope Elementary School.

Having determined her route, Qin Sisi started to book train tickets online. Due to the remoteness of the location, none of the high-speed trains or express trains stopped there—only regular trains would stop for a few minutes.

Qin Sisi had no choice but to buy a standard train ticket. The trip was scheduled for three days later, a journey of over seven hours.

With no other news from any ghost, Qin Sisi felt she would have a leisurely three days. So, she took the opportunity to invite Lin Shan out for a meal to express her gratitude for her help in her times of difficulty.

Ye You felt that when Qin Sisi and Lin Shan were having their girls’ time, he would feel incredibly bored. Besides, since Qin Sisi was now highly vigilant and possessed some Magic Source, she would likely be safe—so he decided not to accompany her.

Faced with Qin Sisi’s invitation, Lin Shan naturally would not refuse. Knowing that Qin Sisi was not short of money now, she indulged herself with a hearty meal.

During the meal, Qin Sisi informed Lin Shan that she would be out of town for a few days. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

Excited, Lin Shan asked, "Are you going on a vacation?"

Qin Sisi vaguely replied, "You could say that."

Well, since she hardly ever traveled far, she might as well treat this trip as a mini-vacation.

Envious, Lin Shan sighed on purpose and said, "Your job is both easy and remunerative. Maybe I should quit too, and join you in raising cats."

"Huh?" Qin Sisi was taken aback, finding it hard to respond.

Seeing Qin Sisi’s flustered expression, Lin Shan laughed out loud. Amidst her laughter, she said, "I was just kidding. I could never pet-sit for others. My temper is so bad, the moment a pet disobeys, I might just give it a good thrashing. Its wealthy owner would never forgive me."

Qin Sisi heaved a sigh of relief. With Lin Shan’s carefree personality, she feared that she might insist on raising cats with her, which would lead to complications.

To avoid further entanglement on the topic of raising cats, Qin Sisi took the initiative to inquire about Lin Shan’s recent work situation.

Lin Shan spoke joyfully, "It’s great. The new department manager is a handsome man. Super nice. I used to hate working overtime, but now I wish I could work with him all the time."

Qin Sisi noticed a fleeting look of admiration in Lin Shan’s eyes, even a faint blush on her cheeks.

Being sensitive, Qin Sisi caught the odd look on Lin Shan’s face, and couldn’t help but ask with a touch of worry, "Is he married?"

Lin Shan nodded and said, "Yeah, a man in his forties. Of course, he’s married, even has a son in kindergarten. He and his wife seem very much in love."

Qin Sisi contemplated for a moment and in a light, joking manner said, "If the man is already married, you need to be conscious of maintaining your distance, alright?"

As Qin Sisi gave the advice, she pointed her finger at Lin Shan’s forehead.

Lin Shan batted Qin Sisi’s hand away, saying irritably, "Yeah, yeah, I got it. Why are you the same as my sister? I am not a kid, for goodness sake."

Seeing Lin Shan’s resentful reaction, Qin Sisi just shook her head and didn’t say any more. She just had an uneasy feeling about it.

After parting with Lin Shan, Qin Sisi swung by a nearby supermarket to buy some essentials for her upcoming travel before returning home.

Much to the surprise of Qin Sisi, Ye You was using his claw to pen something.

Getting closer, Qin Sisi asked curiously, "What are you up to?"

Putting the pen down after finishing the final stroke, Ye You handed the filled-up paper to Qin Sisi and said, "Although you lost the bet, as a reward for your diligence, I’ve decided to teach you a new form of magic."

Taking the piece of paper, she saw a song composed in musical notation.

"This is magic?" Qin Sisi looked at Ye You in confusion.

Ye You responded calmly, "Music Magic, you should be able to understand."

Qin Sisi nodded, but immediately lifted her head to look at Ye You again and asked, "How do you know I can understand it?"

Ye You refrained from mentioning the time he secretly followed Qin Sisi to the KTV where she was singing with her colleagues. That incident was an unpleasant memory for her, and he did not want to upset her again.

After a moment of silence, Ye You replied, "I saw you reading a book on musical notation at your home."

"Oh," Qin Sisi nodded, indeed there was such a book in her home – not just one, but several – all left by her father.

Although Qin Sisi did not study music professionally, she learned quite a bit about it from her father when she was a kid. Some things, once learned, can never be forgotten.

According to the notation on the paper, Qin Sisi hummed the song several times. While the melody was beautiful, it was, after all, just an ordinary song. How could it be a magic spell?

Perceiving Qin Sisi’s confusion, Ye You explained, "It is just an ordinary song when sung by a regular person. However, when sung with the Magic Source inside one’s body, harmonized with it, it becomes a true Music Magic spell."

The magic source inside the body?

Qin Sisi understood the meaning, but she felt unsure about how to proceed.

Even though she had battled ghosts before, those occasions were few and could easily be counted. Moreover, she mostly relied on the power of the Divine Dog’s Fury and hardly ever used her own magic source.

Seeing the look of confusion on Qin Sisi’s face, Ye You patiently instructed her to sit cross-legged on the bed with her eyes closed. He then placed his paw lightly on her forehead, imbuing her with a trace of spiritual power. He then solemnly said, "Focus entirely on this trace of spiritual power, and I will guide you to find your Magic Source."

Qin Sisi did as instructed, focusing entirely on the warm, pulsating stream of spiritual power within her. The energy flowed from her forehead downwards, leading Qin Sisi’s consciousness along.

The warm flow eventually settled in her lower abdomen, not moving further. Qin Sisi followed it for quite a while, already feeling somewhat tired, frowning as she persisted.

Ye You asked softly, "This is where the Magic Source resides. Look carefully with your heart. Can you see anything?"
