Chapter 766: Chapter 766: Reward of the Iron Toad_1

Ye You, having lifted his curse and regained his true strength, had now leveled up to a Magic Spirit. The power of his magic skills also increased significantly.

Soon, under the light of Ye You’s magic, the wound on Qin Sisi’s shoulder healed.

Ye You breathed a sigh of relief, helped Qin Sisi slip her clothes back on, a glimpse of black lace lingerie caused a ripple of sensation in his heart. He took a deep breath, forcing himself to look away.

Qin Sisi adjusted her clothes and said to Ye You, "I’ll give it another try."

Ye You held her shoulder and said, "Listen, you’re already a magic tutor now. Theoretically, you should be able to hit at least sixteen spike balls at the same time. You’re a bit like Lan Di right now. You have plenty of spiritual power but haven’t learned how to use it. It’s because of your lack of experience and perhaps because you’re too tense. Relax a bit, have some confidence in yourself."

Qin Sisi looked at Ye You’s encouraging gaze, nodded vigorously, turned around and approached the wall again. She wrote the words "Kingo Iron Rain" on it, then went to the edge of the red arc to get ready.

The wall quickly lit up, and a spike ball shot out swiftly.

Having experienced it once, Qin Sisi wasn’t as tense as before. She concentrated her Gold Attribute Magic Power in the palm of her hand and shot a beam of light, shattering the spike ball.

The wall flashed, and two spike balls flew out immediately after. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

Qin Sisi, remembering Ye You’s advice, relaxed her mind, held her breath, and evenly pushed her palm forward. Finally, she managed to shoot out two beams of magic light, hitting two spike balls simultaneously.

The small progress made Qin Sisi happy, but a second later, the wall flashed again, and four spike balls flew out.

Qin Sisi felt somewhat overwhelmed, she quickly raised both hands to engage, but her left hand was somewhat unskilled and ended up launching only one magic beam of light. Adding the two beams from her right hand, she managed to hit three spike balls.

Seeing the fourth spike ball whizzing unscathed towards her, Qin Sisi abruptly ducked out of the red arc and into the safe zone.

The fourth spike ball disappeared just as it reached the red arc, and then the red arc itself vanished. The wall that had been firing the spike balls became dim.

In less than a minute from start to finish, Qin Sisi’s second trial ended.

She awkwardly scratched her head and then turned to look at Ye You.

Ye You gave her a gentle smile and said, "Not bad, there’s definitely improvement, and you didn’t get hurt."

Qin Sisi bit her lip and said in a crisp voice, "Again."

She no sooner had spoken the words than she approached the wall again, wrote down the words "Kingo Iron Rain", and the red arc lit up again on cue. She quickly stepped to the edge of the red arc.

To continue the trial, she must first ensure she wasn’t hurt. She couldn’t keep letting Ye You expend his spiritual power healing her. This process would take up too much time, and it also meant...taking off clothes.

Even though Ye You remained serious, Qin Sisi couldn’t help but feel embarrassed.

This time around, Qin Sisi still couldn’t pass the four spike balls trial.

Ye You had set a goal for her to hit sixteen spike balls. The number sixteen didn’t seem too large, but for Qin Sisi at this moment, it was like a mountain too high to climb.

She started trial after trial, failing each time, but never gave up.

When Qin Sisi finally passed the four spike ball trial and began challenging the eight spike ball trial, a voice, neither clearly male nor female, suddenly echoed in the hall: "Time is up, time is up."

Qin Sisi looked at Ye You in puzzlement. Ye You explained, "You’re only allowed to stay in the trial tower for five hours at a time. When the time is up, the tower will prompt you to leave."

"Has it been five hours already?" Qin Sisi asked in amazement. She then pleaded with Ye You, "Can I practice a little longer?"

She had just started making some progress, and it felt as though the session had ended far too soon.

Ye You shook his head and replied, "If the trial tower has set a time limit of five hours, there must be a reason for it. The human body also has its limits. If you’re too fatigued or hurt, it will be counterproductive."

After hearing Ye You’s explanation, Qin Sisi reluctantly nodded her agreement. "Alright, then. We’ll try again tomorrow."

"Let’s go check out how many rewards you’ve earned in the reward room." Ye You said, pulling Qin Sisi’s hand. They returned to the previous wall and opened the teleportation interface.

Ye You clicked on the word "rewards." Qin Sisi’s surroundings blurred momentarily, and when she refocused, she realized they were in another room.

The reward room on the twelfth floor was smaller, with nothing in it except for a pillar in the center holding a toad statue identical to the entrance, except this one was black.

The toad at the entrance was golden, as if made of gold, while this toad was a pitch-black as if made of black iron.

Ye You walked up to it, stood in front of the black toad, and pat its head. After a moment, the toad’s mouth began to spit out spirit stones, one after another.

In the end, a large pile of spirit stones lay at Ye You’s feet. Qin Sisi was left gaping in astonishment.

Ye You counted them, ninety-nine in total, all low-grade spirit stones. He stored the spirit stones in his Portable Space and stood up, turning to Qin Sisi with a smile, "Looks like I’m not perfect after all!"

Qin Sisi rolled her eyes and imitated his actions, tapping the black toad’s head with a touch of unease. She wondered if her performance was poor enough that she wouldn’t get a single reward.

Soon, the black toad spat out a single low-grade spirit stone. Qin Sisi’s lips lifted in delight.

However, her smile quickly froze. After the black toad spat out one spirit stone, it remained motionless. Qin Sisi waited for a long time but never saw a second stone appear.

So, her reward was... a single low-grade spirit stone?

Qin Sisi turned to Ye You with a distressed look on her face. The disparity was too huge!

Ye You’s perfection level was ninety-nine percent, and hers was one percent. A... perfect match.

Ye You smilingly comforted her as he stifled his laughter, "That’s not bad. You still have a lot of room for improvement."

Qin Sisi gave him a glare and asked, "Is there ever a time when you don’t get any rewards?"

"Uh..." Ye You hesitated, then honestly replied, "As long as you tried, there will be a reward. That is unless you came in and did nothing."

So, it seemed she was indeed at the very bottom of the pile when it came to trainees.

Qin Sisi sighed in frustration, picked up her single low-grade spirit stone, and left the trial tower with Ye You.
