Chapter 70: Chapter 70: Becoming Ferocious_1

A glint of annoyance passed through Qin Sisi’s eyes. She quickly took a step back. With a flick of her wrist, the Divine Dog’s Fury was in her hand.

Qin Sisi raised the Divine Dog’s Fury and swung it down onto the floor in front of Lan Di. The black rope and cold glinting fangs burst forth with a chilling energy, forcing the arrogant Lan Di to retreat a few steps.

Lan Di’s expression shifted slightly as he looked at the formidable Divine Dog’s Fury. A hint of fear surfaced in his eyes. As a Ghost Immortal, he possessed powerful spiritual power. Still, facing the Divine Dog’s Fury, the overwhelming pressure made him feel suffocated.

Qin Sisi coldly asked, "Will you carry out this transaction or not?"

Lan Di, who had seen much of the world, quickly regained his composure. He laughed and replied, "Of course, I will."

As he spoke, Lan Di took the white paper with writing on it from Qin Sisi. He assured her seriously, "You can trust me. I will get back to you as soon as possible."

In response, Qin Sisi remained silent. Her cold gaze was fixated on Lan Di, who awkwardly prepared to exit the scene. Pausing to let out a sigh, he said, "Sigh... Such a gentle girl. How did she become so fierce after spending a few days with this cat?"

Qin Sisi’s expression darkened. Just as she had decided to respond, she saw a flurry of ash and a white shadow rapidly spinning upwards from the ground. She stared blankly at first but soon understood the situation, staying calm and observing the situation.

As expected, the girl was the same one who had arrived with Lan Di last time. Her hair was cut to shoulder length, she wore a light blue dress, and looked pure and lovely.

Lan Di, showing the same look of annoyance as last time, said, "Why did you follow me here again?"

The girl seemed slightly apprehensive and timidly replied, "I was worried about you."

Exasperated, Lan Di retorted, "Who asked you to worry about me? Everywhere I go, you follow. Isn’t that annoying?"

Having said his piece, Lan Di ignored the girl, transformed into a wisp of green smoke, and disappeared into the ground.

The girl pouted, feeling wronged. She awkwardly glanced at Qin Sisi, then returned to where she first appeared, fading into a phantom before disappearing into her own world.

Qin Sisi was somewhat bemused by the relationship between the girl and Lan Di. However, her life was already full of problems, leaving her little time to speculate about this tangent conversation. Suddenly recalling Lan Di’s words, Qin Sisi touched her nose thoughtfully: Have I really become fierce?

The next night, Qin Sisi received a text from Lan Di detailing the current situation of the two spirits.

Qin Sisi let out a sigh of relief. The corners of her mouth tugged into a smile. Lan Di might not seem reliable, but he was surprisingly efficient.

However, learning the current locations of the two spirits, Qin Sisi frowned slightly. Both spirits were outside of S City, which meant she would have to embark on a long journey once Ye You woke up.

Ye You had been sleeping for five days. During this period, Qin Sisi had spent most of her time at home, with only occasional trips to the market, keeping Ye You company.

During her free time, Qin Sisi practiced summoning the Wings of the Rainbow and using the Divine Dog’s Fury. After several days of training, she felt increasingly comfortable wielding the Divine Dog’s Fury. She also developed a strong bond with the Wings of the Rainbow, no longer needing to shout loudly and stiffly to summon it. Instead, it would respond to a gentle whisper.

Qin Sisi was excited about her improvements, but with Ye You still in deep slumber, she couldn’t help but feel increasingly worried. He had mentioned needing to rest for a few days, but he hadn’t specified how long, leaving her in the dark about when he would wake up.

Qin Sisi often placed her hand on Ye You’s stomach, feeling his steady breathing gave her some peace of mind.

Finally, on the evening of the fifth day, Ye You woke up.

Seeing Ye You’s eyes shimmering in purple light again, the tension and worry Qin Sisi had been holding onto for days finally eased. She hugged Ye You and said excitedly, "You’ve finally woken up. I was so worried."

Ye You gazed at Qin Sisi for a moment, then gently pressed his lips against her smooth forehead.

A flush spread across Qin Sisi’s cheeks. She released Ye You and asked softly, "Are you hungry? Do you want to eat something?"

Ye You paused, then replied in a low voice, "Sure."

"I shall prepare it for you." Qin Sisi, with a blush on her face, stood up. Just as she was about to leave the room, she suddenly heard the sound of something hitting the glass.

Both of them looked up and saw a tabby cat on the outside window ledge pawing at the window, presumably the source of the noise.

Knowing that it had come to see Ye You, Qin Sisi walked over to open the window and let the cat in.

The tabby cat meowed softly at Qin Sisi, as if thanking her. The cat then walked directly to Ye You and lowered its head.

Qin Sisi knew they had matters to discuss, and since she couldn’t understand them anyway, she decided to head into the kitchen to prepare something for Ye You to eat.

By the time Qin Sisi had finished cooking and was ready to serve the meal, the tabby cat had left. She placed the food on the table, beckoning Ye You to come eat.

As the two chatted while eating, Qin Sisi naturally asked about the purpose of the tabby cat’s visit.

Ye You answered, "It was sent to track Yu Ping. It has found out where Yu Ping lives, and apparently she seems to be losing her spirit."

Yu Ping? Qin Sisi blinked, nearly forgetting her former boss until Ye You mentioned her.

"Losing her spirit? What does that mean?" Qin Sisi asked.

Ye You replied, "It must have something to do with the ghost in her house."

Qin Sisi furrowed her brow in thought, suddenly letting out a little gasp.

"What’s wrong?" Ye You paused in his eating, looking at Qin Sisi with concern.

Sisi smiled lightly and said, "It’s nothing, just when you mentioned Yu Ping, it reminded me of Lin Shan. I still owe her $20k. I should pay her back now that I have the money."

"Hmm." Ye You replied indifferently. He continued to eat, not having any particular opinion to offer. He was patient and understanding.

Qin Sisi also told Ye You about how she sold the blue and white porcelain to Boss Zheng from Ju Ya Zhai, including the selling price.

Ye You was silent for a moment before saying, "I didn’t think much about it at the time. But now, considering how fast it sold, I wonder if it was inappropriate?"

Qin Sisi didn’t really understand. Looking at Ye You, she asked, "Why? It wouldn’t have done us any good to keep it!"

Ye You shook his head hesitantly, saying gravely, "Let’s just wait and see if I’m overthinking it."

Seeing Ye You’s reaction, Qin Sisi didn’t pursue the subject further. She told Ye You about Lan Di’s findings on the current circumstances of Mrs. Wang Luo’s husband and son, showing him the text message on her phone.
