Chapter 550: Chapter 550: Drunk Racing_1
Brother Tai led his gang into a small restaurant, ordering a table full of dishes and a box of baijiu, and began to eat and drink heavily.
The sky was growing darker, the lights were on in the private room, and the scene inside could be seen from outside.
A group of teenagers, like adults, puffing clouds of smoke, raising glasses in high spirits, drinking to the point of blushing and swaying.
Qin Sisi stood under a large tree not far away, watching a scene that should not belong to their age, and couldn’t help but feel heartache and helpless.
The meal took more than two hours. By the time they staggered out, it was almost nine o’clock.
Brother Tai and his gang were making noise and laughing, supporting each other as they walked forward.
Qin Sisi finally lowered her eyes and nodded to Ye You. Ye You raised his paw and opened the Invisible Bubble. At this time, the pedestrians on the road were few and far between, so it would be too obvious for Qin Sisi to brazenly follow behind.
Dong Yansen watched this group of murderers who had beaten him to death with a colder look in his eyes.
Ahead was a tunnel bridge where the lighting was very dimmed.
Qin Sisi followed Brother Tai and his group into the tunnel and as her eyes adjusted, she saw a older, skinny homeless man lying on the ground.
In front of the homeless man was a small cardboard box with some loose change in it, probably alms from kind-hearted people.
One of Brother Tai’s henchmen stumbled past the cardboard box, glanced at the change inside, and a greedy smile crossed his flushed face, brought on by the alcohol.
The thug slowly bent over, picked up the small box, and began stuffing the loose change into his pocket.
People around him saw what he was doing, laughing while deriding him.
However, their mockery was only because he cared about so little change, not because he was stealing someone else’s money.
No one tried to stop him, as if there was nothing wrong with what he was doing in their eyes.
The homeless man sat up, perhaps his mind was not very clear. Seeing someone stealing his money, he was angry and rushed over to snatch back the little box.
Now there were only a few coins left in the box, just a few dollars, but the henchman was not happy, not because of the money but because he had lost face.
He was infuriated by the homeless man taking back the box, stepped forward, kicking the frail homeless man to the ground, reclaimed the box and took away the remaining few coins.
The homeless man let out a hoarse groan, and by now he had realized the danger. He huddled up against the wall, not daring to resist anymore.
Looking at the trembling old man, Qin Sisi’s eyes became colder. Her fist clenched tightly, but then it loosened again.
The homeless man had already shown weakness, and perhaps this would be the end of it. At worst, she could give him back his money after they walked away.
However, what happened next finally made Qin Sisi angry. She thought it was the end of it, but it was far from over.
Brother Tai looked at the shivering homeless man against the wall, a cruel smile on his face. He walked up one step at a time with a cigarette in his mouth, then raised his foot and stomped hard on him.
The homeless man lay on the ground, gasping with pain but not daring to say a word.
Brother Tai is the boss, and since the boss has made a move, how can his henchmen not show their loyalty?
So, a group of teenage students surrounded the homeless man and began punching and kicking. The alcohol had eroded their sanity and they struck with extra severity.
Dong Yansen’s eyes widened, his fists clenched tightly. Back then, he was like this, surrounded and beaten by this group. More terrifying than the pain was the complete lack of strength to fight back, the feeling of powerlessness that seemed to never end.
Qin Sisi’s breathing became rapid. She had heard Dong Yansen recount his own experiences, but hearing and seeing are two different things.
Smoking and drinking, full of obscenities, causing trouble for no reason, bullying the weak, ruthless, contemptuous of life, scoffing at the law...
She really couldn’t connect these words with teenage students, but the reality in front of her told her that they were all true.
There were indeed unruly children, bad students, and minors who were more reckless than adults.
Ye You sensed Qin Sisi’s mood change, looked up at her, and waved his paw gently. A faint blue light silently flew out, enveloping the homeless man.
In this way, those ferocious punches and kicks seemed to land on the homeless man but could no longer cause any harm to him.
The faint blue light didn’t attract the attention of Brother Tai and his gang, but Qin Sisi saw it clearly.
"Thank you." Qin Sisi whispered.
Ye You shook his head slightly without saying a word.
Since they had encountered such a situation, lending a hand was a simple matter, but it was all he could do.
Helping once doesn’t mean he can help the second time. These bullies are everywhere in the world.
It felt like a long time to Qin Sisi, but in reality, it was only a few minutes. The group seemed satisfied with their brutal beating and gradually stopped.
Brother Tai waved his long arm, and his gang left the tunnel bridge all at once, continuing down the road, leaving behind only a weak figure trembling in the corner.
Qin Sisi walked over, took a hundred dollars out of her pocket, silently bent down and put it in the homeless man’s hand, then straightened up, her eyes cold and followed.
The homeless man raised his head, the fear and panic in his eyes hadn’t disappeared yet. He stared blankly at the hundred-dollar bill in his hand and the empty surroundings, thinking he was hallucinating.
Finally, Brother Tai and his gang arrived at a remote garage. He took out the keys, instructed a henchman to open up the roller door, revealing five impressive motorcycles.
Brother Tai rode one himself, with two people sharing the others, and even three people on one bike.
Once prepared, the riders started their motorcycles. The sound of the engines in the dark night was particularly noisy, and then a number of motorcycles sped away.
"Wings of Rainbow!" Qin Sisi shouted, and the dazzling, colorful wings spread out behind her. She held Ye You with one hand and grasped Dong Yansen with the other.
Dong Yansen stared at the wings behind Qin Sisi in surprise, his mouth wide open and speechless.
Qin Sisi didn’t have time to explain nor felt the need to. She directly controlled the Wings of Rainbow, flying into the air and following behind those motorcycles.
She knew what they were doing, even if she hadn’t seen it before; street-racing.
After drinking late at night, street-racing.
Brother Tai was in the lead, gripping the handles tightly as he sped forward like a gust of wind.
The other motorcycles were perhaps slower due to carrying passengers, or due to the driver’s lack of skill, but still travelled faster than the normal speed.
The roar of the engine resonated in Qin Sisi’s ears, sounding like a death march from hell.
