Chapter 460: Chapter 460 Scumbag Ex-boyfriend_1

"After I graduated from university, I originally was working in another city."

Not long after starting work, a colleague introduced me to my ex-boyfriend."

His name was Lian Fei. At the beginning, I thought his personality was quite good, he was attentive, and cared for others, so we started dating.

Later on, I found out that he was a bit vain, liked to compare himself with others, and would always want the best cell phone, for instance.

Back then I was young and immature. Even though I disagreed with his views, I didn’t think this was a major flaw. I thought that when he was faced with the stress of having a family and financial pressures, he would naturally grow up.

Who knew, he would start doing drugs after hanging out with a group of questionable friends."

While Han Xiaowen’s voice had been calm, upon mentioning the word "drugs", his voice noticeably became agitated.

Qin Sisi immediately sensed from Han Xiaowen’s tone that his story with his ex-boyfriend must have been heartbreaking.

However, Han Xiaowen had a restrained personality. He did not take the opportunity to speak ill of his ex, but tried to suppress his emotions and narrate the facts: "To sustain his drug habit, he spent all his savings and even borrowed a lot of money from me.

Initially, I didn’t know he was on drugs. He always managed to come up with various excuses to borrow money from me. It was a friend of his who couldn’t bear it any longer and secretly told me.

For me, it was like a bolt from the blue. When I confronted him, he could no longer hide the truth, and he confessed.

When I suggested breaking up, he wouldn’t agree. He knelt down and begged me, promising that he would quit drugs from the following day, save money, and would enroll in a drug rehabilitation center once he had enough money.

Heh ... silly me, I was fooled by those words, moved by his tears, I said that as long as he quit drugs, I wouldn’t break up with him.

But a month later, the worst thing happened.

That day, he came to my rented apartment, and because he couldn’t resist taking drugs and wasn’t able to come up with the money, he even suggested that I sleep with the drug dealer in exchange for his drugs.

I refused, and then he physically assaulted me.

I finally woke up at that moment. I realized I had to leave this jerk.

While he was not paying attention, I ran out of the apartment. When he noticed, he chased after me.

I was terribly scared, but I knew that I couldn’t stop. I had to keep running, only then would I have the chance to escape the torment of this man.

While I was crossing the street, I was able to make it across. However, he was hit by a car, and he died instantly."

If it were not for the tears in Han Xiaowen’s eyes, Qin Sisi would have wanted to applaud.

Such a man, such a boyfriend, it’s best for them to die early and be reincarnated early, so they won’t harm others.

Although Han Xiaowen had been disappointed in her ex-boyfriend, watching him die in front of her still inevitably brought sorrow and fear.

Han Xiaowen notified Lian Fei’s family, they rushed over in a frantic hurry. Seeing their young and vibrant loved one become a bloody corpse, they were of course devastated.

When they found out that Lian Fei had been hit by a car because he was chasing after Han Xiaowen, they blamed her. Not only did they hurl vile insults at her, but they even wanted to resort to violence.

Luckily, there were many traffic policemen at the scene who stopped them, otherwise, Han Xiaowen didn’t know how big of a loss she would have suffered.

Going through all these, any guilt that Han Xiaowen still had for Lian Fei completely disappeared.

She quickly resigned, moved out of her rental house, packed up her belongings and left that sorrowful city to start a new life in Z city.

Her parents were not in good health, and Han Xiaowen didn’t dare to tell them about her experiences. She also feared that if she went home, her parents would notice something was wrong, or urge her to start dating and getting married, hence she deliberately avoided going home for nearly two years.

After staying in Z city for over a year, a relative of a colleague introduced Lin Xiaoyu to her.

Originally, Han Xiaowen hadn’t fully recovered from the shadow of her previous boyfriend, and was somewhat disheartened about love. However, out of regard for her colleague’s feelings, she reluctantly agreed to meet him.

Unexpectedly, they both left a pretty good impression on each other. After spending some time together, they officially became a couple.

About half a month ago, Han Xiaowen’s father called her, saying that her mother was sick and hospitalized.

Han Xiaowen was very worried and immediately took leave to return home.

Thankfully, her mother’s condition wasn’t serious. After staying in the hospital for a week, she was discharged and recuperating at home.

Just as she had anticipated, her parents urged her to start dating and get married.

Han Xiaowen then told them that she already had a boyfriend, which made everyone in the family happy.

However, after returning from her hometown, Han Xiaowen fell into an endless nightmare.

"Every night as soon as I fall asleep, I would return to the day of his car accident, the screams, the sound of brakes almost piercing through my eardrums, blood all over the place, he was lying there motionless, but his eyes were wide open, staring at me..."

While Han Xiaowen described the scenes from her dreams, her voice began to tremble slightly.

Lin Xiaoyu tightly held her hand, his gaze filled with both tenderness and helplessness.

Qin Sisi also felt sympathy for this woman. She pondered for a moment and then asked her, "Did he say anything to you in your dreams?"

Han Xiaowen jerked slightly, her gaze towards Qin Sisi was filled with a touch of fear. She eventually nodded slowly and said, "He said that I was the one who killed him, and that I should pay with my life."

"Absurd!" Lin Xiaoyu couldn’t help blurting out, "It was clearly him who caused his own death, how can he blame others?"

Han Xiaowen had previously only mentioned that she dreamt of Lian Fei covered in blood coming to find her. He hadn’t mentioned these other words.

Hearing it suddenly today, Lin Xiaoyu gritted his teeth in anger, harboring a deep hatred for the man whom he had never met.

Qin Sisi looked at Ye You, they exchanged a glance and she had a rough idea in her heart.

She gently said to Han Xiaowen, "Alright, I understand. Tonight, you sleep well, and I will watch over you."

Han Xiaowen looked at Qin Sisi with a puzzled expression, then turned her head to look at Lin Xiaoyu for confirmation.

Lin Xiaoyu gave her a reassuring look, then asked Qin Sisi, "What about me?"

After some thought, Qin Sisi replied, "Do as you usually do tonight."

"Uh..." Lin Xiaoyu felt a little embarrassed. These past few days, although he and Han Xiaowen were sleeping in the same bed, they were literally just sleeping. Maybe there was a goodnight kiss, but nothing more happened between them.

However, even under these circumstances, he and Han Xiaowen were sleeping on the bed, while Qin Sisi stood guard by the bedside.

The scene truly felt strange and a bit hard to accept.

Guessing what Lin Xiaoyu was thinking, Qin Sisi calmly explained, "It’s better to keep things as normal as possible. If there are any changes, I fear that the ghost will be on guard, making it difficult for me to deal with him in one strike."

Lin Xiaoyu froze for a moment, then looked at Qin Sisi seriously and asked, "Sisi, can you really confirm it’s a ghost?"
