Chapter 322: Chapter 322: Children who Look Similar_1

Lan Di looked at the expectant eyes of Qian Qian and stretched out his palm to her, saying softly, "Come with me, I’ll take you to find your mother."

"Thank you, uncle." Qian Qian placed her tiny, white hand in Lan Di’s large palm.

Lan Di held Qian Qian’s hand and turned to Qin Sisi and Ye You, laughing, "Since everything is settled, I won’t bother you any longer. You two continue."

Qin Sisi had already regained her composure, but Lan Di’s jest made her blush and feel annoyed. She said to Lan Di, "Just go away."

Lan Di laughed heartily and looked down at Qian Qian, saying, "Let’s go Qian Qian, this aunt seems to be a bit impatient."

Qian Qian, of course, didn’t understand what Lan Di meant and just nodded obediently.

Qin Sisi blushed and shyly turned her head to one side, biting her lip.

Seeing Qin Sisi’s embarrassment, Ye You sternly said to Lan Di, "Have you said enough?"

Lan Di laughed again and said, "Just one more thing, you’ve done a good job training your woman to stand up for herself."

Ye You’s gaze darkened as Lan Di led Qian Qian towards the northwest corner of the room.

"Goodbye aunty." Qian Qian’s sweet voice left the last sentence for Qin Sisi before she, alongside Lan Di, silently disappeared.

Two months later, Qian Qian’s mother was confirmed to be pregnant again. Qian Qian’s ghost drunk the Soup of Oblivion and fell into a dormant state, and Lan Di implanted it into her mother’s womb.

After ten months of pregnancy, Qian Qian’s mother gave birth to her second child, another girl.

Although the features of the baby were not quite apparent, Qian Qian’s parents could see that she looked exactly like their eldest daughter, Qian Qian. This made them even more convinced of the dream they had initially had.

However, the matter was strange, and not everyone would believe it if they spoke about it. Therefore, they kept this secret in their hearts and carefully raised their younger daughter.

But that’s a story for another time.

After Lan Di had left with Qian Qian, Ye You called Qin Sisi to his side and asked with concern: "What happened on the day I was sleeping?"

Before Lan Di left, his words had implied that Qin Sisi had encountered danger.

The expression in Qin Sisi’s eyes flickered; now that they were home, nothing had happened, Ye You must be asking about the encounter with the ghost in the leather jacket.

The issue wasn’t significant, and Qin Sisi didn’t want Ye You to worry, so she replied softly, "It was just a small matter, don’t worry."

Ye You sighed and said, "Sisi, I’d worry even more if you didn’t tell me."

Ye You’s gaze was a bit gloomy, filled with subtle self-blame.

A pang hit Qin Sisi’s heart, and she said gently, "It’s really just a small matter. On my way back from the park last night, I encountered a weak ghost. It was injured by my Divine Dog’s Fury, and then Lan Di came and devoured it."

Qin Sisi spoke casually, making it seem like it was indeed a small matter.

Ye You looked at Qin Sisi for a while before asking again, "Why did you hurt him?"

"I..." Qin Sisi suddenly didn’t know how to respond. Should she say that the ghost had attempted to molest her? Ye You would probably get really angry then. He had just woken up, and his body was still weak. Qin Sisi didn’t want him to get upset.

But even if Qin Sisi didn’t say it, how could Ye You not guess?

Ye You stared at Qin Sisi’s troubled expression and said in a deep voice, "I know you. You wouldn’t attack without provocation. It must have been because he wanted to disrespect you, wasn’t it?"

Qin Sisi lowered her head in silence for a moment, then looked up into Ye You’s eyes, softly saying, "Xiao Hei, I wasn’t hurt at all. The ghost was injured by me first, then devoured by Lan Di. He has been punished. Can we not dwell on this anymore?"

Ye You clenched his fist tightly in his heart, yet he could only helplessly let it go.

The devoured ghost had forever disappeared from this world. Ye You had a rush of rage but nowhere to vent it.

In the end, Ye You sighed and said quietly, "I’m sorry. I wasn’t there when you needed me."

Warmth flooded Qin Sisi’s heart, and she smiled and said, "You’re wrong, I didn’t need you then!"

Ye You looked at Qin Sisi in bewilderment.

Qin Sisi continued, "The ghost was really weak. I brought him to his knees with one strike. Where’s the need for you to intervene?"

A mute smile crept up on Ye You’s face. He knew Qin Sisi was comforting him, but she probably wasn’t lying. Even Lan Di had mentioned that Qin Sisi had learned to protect herself.

Ye You thought for a moment and then asked Qin Sisi, "Let’s make a hypothetical scenario. What if the one who stopped you last night wasn’t a ghost, but a human? What should you do?"

After thinking for a moment, Qin Sisi answered, "I think, first, I should use the Fire Ignition Skill and Fireball Technique against them. If I can’t handle them, I should summon the Wings of Rainbow and escape."

Ye You nodded slightly, and commented, "If it’s a person, you can do it this way. But, if there are more people, it’s better to run away directly and not confront them head-on.

After all, your magic skills are not very proficient, and the success rate of the Fireball Technique is still low. Moreover, it takes some time to mobilize the magic power within your body. If someone interrupts you during this process, or controls your body, you won’t be able to use your skills."

Qin Sisi nodded thoughtfully and said, "I got it. But running away with my tail between my legs seems pretty humiliating."

Qin Sisi pouted at Ye You. There was a hint of regret in her voice.

Ye You chuckled and said, "It’s called a strategic retreat. Wouldn’t it be more humiliating if you were injured or killed? When you’re strong enough, you can naturally take your revenge."

Qin Sisi agreed with this point, but she didn’t know how long it would take for her to become stronger.

Ye You seemed to understand Qin Sisi’s thoughts and comforted her, "Don’t worry, anything I know, I’ll teach you."

One day, you will be as strong as I am.

Qin Sisi knew that learning magic required patience, and she gently said, "I might learn slowly, so you’ll have to wait for me!"

Ye You’s eyes softened, and he murmured, "I can’t wait for you. We need to improve together. Only by becoming stronger can I protect you better."

There was a twinge in Qin Sisi’s heart, as if she had drunk a cup of nectar; her heart was full of fragrant sweetness.

At this point, Ye You scoffed and said, "I had asked Lan Di to escort you home, but he deliberately waited until you took action before he showed up. I need to give him a good lesson next time."

"You asked him to take me home?" Qin Sisi only then understood why Lan Di had appeared so timely.

However, recalling Lan Di’s actions at that time, Qin Sisi hesitated and said, "He seemed to have just arrived at that time. Maybe he was delayed by something."
