The receptionist shook her head, her tone gentle yet determined, "I can’t break the hotel’s rules. You can call your friend and ask her to come and meet you."

The male voice paused before answering, as polite as ever, "My wife is currently taking a bath. We didn’t invite any friend over, please respect our privacy."
