Chapter 1261: Chapter 1261: A Lifetime of Loving the Wrong Person

Meng Yu’s lips curved into a slight smile as she softly asked, "An Yun, do you like me?"

An Yun was stunned for a moment, his face slightly red, and he replied in a low voice, "Meng Yu, you should know, I’ve liked you since we were young, it has never changed."

"Then, do you want me?" Meng Yu leaned in slightly, her breath fragrant like orchids.

An Yun’s body stiffened, almost unable to speak, his breathing becoming rapid.

Meng Yu was already pressed close in front of An Yun, her voice alluring as she pressed, "Tell me, do you want me or not?"

Unable to resist, An Yun wrapped his arms around Meng Yu’s slender waist, breathing heavily as he replied, "You are injured, I’m afraid of hurting you. Once you’re completely healed, once we’re safe, I..."

"Haven’t you already helped heal my injuries? I’m almost completely fine," Meng Yu’s voice was as light as a feather, her fingers gently raising to unbutton one of An Yun’s buttons.

An Yun’s heart raced uncontrollably, his hand instinctively grabbing Meng Yu’s hand, struggling to suppress the tumult in his heart, he said, "Meng Yu, now is not appropriate."

Meng Yu raised her head and lightly kissed An Yun’s cheek, her voice gentle and soft as water, "As long as I’m willing and you are too, what is inappropriate?"

Saying this, she continued unbuttoning An Yun’s buttons, helping him remove his outer robe, then his shirt, and finally undid her own belt.

An Yun was completely dazed, even though he had fantasized about this scene many times before, he never imagined such a day would truly come.

Meng Yu’s hands were cold, like a snake slipping into An Yun’s pants. An Yun gasped, closing his eyes.

A few seconds later, a shrill and painful scream rang out, echoing eerily in the silent cave.

An Yun’s face was deathly pale, he slumped weakly to the ground, wearing an expression of shock, staring in disbelief at Meng Yu standing before him.

"Why? Why?" he asked unwillingly, questioning why he had ended up like this when he believed he had given her his all, truly in love with her.

Meng Yu smiled seductively and lifted an object, emitting a dense brown light. It was none other than An Yun’s Magic Source.

She approached him, gentle as water, not to enjoy a moment with him but to seize his Magic Source.

An Yun, now a Magic God, of a fairly high rank, his Magic Source could enhance a lot of magic power.

"Why? Do you really not know why?" Meng Yu lazily replied, her beauty both captivating and ruthless.

"You, a lowborn commoner, dared to desire your own master? Do you think you deserve it?" She finally spoke her true thoughts, shattering all of An Yun’s dreams and expectations.

"If you didn’t like me, you could have just driven me away, why treat me like this?" An Yun felt as if his heart had been gouged out, a cold wind blowing through the void, never to encounter warmth again.

Meng Yu pouted and said, "I did try to drive you away, but you insisted on coming back. A Magic Source delivered to my door, why wouldn’t I take it?"

An Yun smiled bitterly in silence, realizing for the first time that he deserved his fate, all of this was his own choice, a result of his own doing.

The warm meal Meng Yu offered him long ago might have been a mere act of charity, yet he took her charity as a supreme faith, driving him step by step into despair.

"Kill me then!" An Yun whispered, knowing he could survive without his Magic Source, but without his heart’s belief, he lacked the will to live.

"Since you say so, in gratitude for saving me, I’ll grant you this last wish." Meng Yu elegantly walked up to An Yun, smiling as she raised her palm to cast an Ice Seal Spell, freezing An Yun in place.

An Yun, without his Magic Source, a mere mortal, couldn’t withstand the freezing ice and wouldn’t survive long before freezing to death within the hard ice shell.

Having done all this, Meng Yu began absorbing An Yun’s Magic Source, enriching spiritual power flowing into her Magic Source, allowing her to feel her magical power increasing.

After fully absorbing An Yun’s Magic Source, Meng Yu’s magical power had significantly strengthened, and her internal and external injuries were completely healed. She was once again that lofty and self-conceited young lady.

Meng Yu coldly glanced at the frozen An Yun, stepping elegantly out of the cave unhurriedly.

To abandon? That was impossible; she must make everyone who had ever harmed her pay the price.

An Yun quickly lost consciousness from the cold, only the residual consciousness in his mind still able to see a series of classic scenes.

He thought, he must have truly erred, loving the wrong person, not only leading to numerous mistakes but also costing him his life.

Regarding Meng Yu, his erroneous love spanned his entire life—this was his greatest regret at that moment.

Regarding Qin Sisi, he was grateful he hadn’t harmed her back at the Heavenly Magic God’s Castle, which he considered his most correct act now.

Qin Sisi’s friends later lived well; their friendship was genuine, wasn’t it?

"Qin Sisi, if there’s truly another life, can we be friends?"

This was the last thought that flashed through An Yun’s mind; the next second, he finally succumbed to extreme cold, losing all consciousness and sensation, falling into eternal cold and darkness.

The sky gradually brightened, people slowly awoke from their sleep, but some would never wake again.

Qin Sisi opened her eyes to find herself lying in Ye You’s arms. Ye You was shirtless, and the two were in extremely close proximity.

She felt a bit shy, yet incredibly happy.

Ye You lay on his back, still asleep, so she didn’t move, afraid of disturbing him after such a fierce battle; he must be utterly exhausted!

Qin Sisi closed her eyes again but couldn’t fall back asleep; after sleeping so well last night, she felt quite refreshed.

After lying for a while, feeling a bit bored, she opened her eyes again, finding Ye You right in front of her and blinking, she began to closely observe his features.

When Ye You was awake, she didn’t have such an opportunity.

Ye You kept his eyes closed, his long lashes casting shadow-like arcs. Qin Sisi pouted slightly, those long lashes were truly enviable.

Ye You’s ears, semi-circular like the moon, with slightly large lobes, she had heard that traditionally this was a sign of good fortune.

Ye You’s nose, was straight and well-defined, projecting an aura of determination.

Ye You’s mouth, hmm... seemed quite sensual.

Qin Sisi watched Ye You for a while, her mind beginning to wander, unable to resist and leaned in to gently kiss his lips.

Ye You suddenly smiled, abruptly opening his eyes, startling Qin Sisi, who quickly nestled back into Ye You’s arm, burying her face deeply.
