After getting off the subway, Lin Xiaoyu and Qin Sisi walked for about ten minutes before they arrived at the residential area.
Once up the stairs, Lin Xiaoyu took out the key and unlocked the front door.
Upon entering the flat, Qin Sisi frowned slightly. Despite it being broad daylight, she could still sense the chill left by a ghost’s presence in the house.
Lin Xiaoyu’s intuition was right; there was indeed a ghost in the house, and it must have appeared the night before.
As it was early in the morning, the chilling sensation still lingered, but it would gradually dissipate once the sun was fully up.
Qin Sisi instinctively glanced at her bag. If she could feel it, Ye You could certainly feel it too.
Lin Xiaoyu invited, "Come and sit down for a while. I’ll get you a glass of water."
"Thank you." Qin Sisi smiled and sat down on the sofa. She then opened her bag and carried Ye You out.
Lin Xiaoyu poured two glasses of water, placed one in front of Qin Sisi, and the other in front of himself.
Sitting next to Qin Sisi, he was about to start a conversation when he saw Qin Sisi’s black cat suddenly lunging forward, carrying the cup in front of Qin Sisi with its mouth, and gulping down the water.

Upon sitting down, Lin Xiaoyu pointed at the closed door and said, "Chen Nuo is in there. He has been drinking pretty heavily in the last few days. Whenever he gets drunk, he cries; after crying, he falls asleep. He isn’t even going to work, I had to call in sick for him."
Qin Sisi frowned, "This can’t go on, it will destroy him."
Lin Xiaoyu let out a sigh, "We’ve said all we could, but to no avail! But on second thought, anyone going through this would struggle to accept it."
Qin Sisi nodded silently. Indeed, it’s unfortunate enough to lose one girlfriend, but to lose three consecutively would be unimaginable for anyone.
After a moment of silence, Qin Sisi yawned big, caught off guard. She was indeed very tired from the journey.
Seeing this,Lin Xiaoyu kindly said, "You must be tired. If you don’t mind, you could take a break in my room."
Qin Sisi hesitated for a moment, and stole a glance at Ye You who was lying next to her.
Ye You gave a couple of "meows" and rubbed his fluffy little head on Qin Sisi’s leg. He meant to say, "I’m tired too".
A faint smile appeared on the corner of Qin Sisi’s mouth. Holding Ye You in her arms, she turned to Lin Xiaoyu and said, "I am a bit tired indeed. I won’t stand on ceremony, then. I’ll take a rest. As for Chen Nuo’s matter, I have to wait till nightfall to confirm."
