Chapter 973: Chapter 734: Just the Same without Using Energy

Sajia’s eyes twitched ever so slightly. He felt some dissatisfaction in his heart because Nim didn’t seem to show him enough respect.

"If it wasn’t you who leaked it, then who else could it be? You still dare to quibble!" the legendary Mage behind Sajia spoke up.

"Is there a need to quibble? After all, you didn’t capture me because of this matter, so why bother beating around the bush?" Nim laughed as he spoke.

Sajia laughed, yes, among his personal guards, Nim was not the strongest, nor the most intelligent, but he was the best at reading people’s expressions and attitudes. It was for this reason that Sajia had kept him by his side.

"Since that’s the case, I’ll just ask directly," Sajia said, "What exactly happened to you in the Human Realm, and why has your strength undergone such a tremendous change!"

Nim was amused: "So it is about this matter after all."

"Good, now tell us quickly!" urged the legendary Mage.

"If that’s the case, then I’ll tell you. When I was at my lowest, I encountered the great Giant, and, taking pity on me, he granted me this absolutely powerful strength. Yes, it’s that simple," Nim told the plain truth.

But the four people in front, including Sajia, burst out laughing: "Hahaha! Nim, oh Nim, how did I never notice your talent for comedy before? Meeting a Giant, indeed! If a Giant had given you power, your strength would have surpassed the upper Planes by now!" Sajia said, laughing.

"What I said is the truth. If you don’t believe it, then forget it." As Nim spoke, he thought to himself: ’Idiot.’

"Nim! What exactly happened to you after you were captured by Long Yi? I heard that Long Yi invented a potion that could enhance the Dragon Breath of the Dragon Clan. Did he use it on you?" asked the legendary warrior who wielded the dagger.

"No! No!" A flicker of surprise passed Nim’s face, well hidden, but not missed by Sajia.

"Is there any of that potion left?" Sajia continued to press.

"It’s gone!" Nim immediately shouted.

"So it was the potion!" Sajia smiled triumphantly.

Nim, however, wore a look of having been duped, his head hung low in apparent dejection, yet inside he was already rejoicing. He had been worrying about how to fabricate a story that everyone would believe when Sajia conveniently wrote one for him!

"Alright, Nim, tell me what that potion truly is, and I will allow you to leave right now," Sajia said.

"If I knew how that potion was made, do you think I would still be here waiting to be captured by all of you? Wouldn’t I have already created a group of warriors as powerful as me?" said Nim with a sense of helplessness.

Sajia nodded—he believed this point. Since Nim returned to the Heaven Realm, he had always stayed by Elsa’s side. Though he had contact with some past friends, he hadn’t heard any news about anyone suddenly becoming stronger.

"Since that’s the case, we’re going to have to inconvenience you for a while," Sajia said. "But rest assured, in consideration of your long service to me, once I figure out where your strength truly comes from, I will definitely release you."

But Nim laughed, "Your Highness the First Prince, I have followed you for no short amount of time, am I not clear on the kind of person you are? If you were really to release me, that would indeed be strange."

Sajia curled his lip—of course, he had no intention of letting Nim go, because any experiments from henceforth might cause Nim very painful damage. If he let Nim go after that, and word got out, it would make matters very complicated indeed. Sajia was very uncertain about the mysterious Elsa. Had he not been so covetous of the secret that could turn someone into a legendary warrior in a short time, he certainly would not have chosen to provoke Elsa.

Nevertheless, he had made every preparation. In this secret space, no one could exert any kind of energy. Even they were no exception; Elsa could not possibly find Nim here, and even if Elsa really did find this place and came here, she would be nothing more than an ordinary girl who could easily be subdued.

"Princess Elsa, oh, I am here, come and save me," Nim suddenly said out of the blue.

Sajia immediately laughed, "Nim, oh Nim, what should I say about you? Give up your fantasies. No one will be coming here, not even Elsa would be able to find this place. Since all forms of energy are cut off here, you have no magic to use, and even magical tools would be suppressed. How do you plan to tell Elsa that you’re here?"

Nim thought for a moment and then replied, "Something that doesn’t use energy."

"What thing doesn’t use energy?" Sajia continued to ask, but as soon as the words left his mouth, his complexion instantly changed as something occurred to him.

"Contract!" Nim said with a smile.

Indeed, contracts were things that transcended time, space, and Planes, and they were also non-energy based, even transcending Divine Ability. Could it be that Nim had actually made a contract with Elsa? What a coincidence it would be!

Just then, a light knocking came from the heavy metal door at the back, startling Sajia and the three legendary warriors. However, recalling that Elsa usually kicked doors in, the four of them only showed a slight change in expression. The one outside was one of Sajia’s guards, presumably with some news to report.

The legendary warrior with the dagger turned to open the door. The moment the door opened, a dazzling Light Sword plunged directly into the chest of the legendary warrior.

Afterward, Elsa pushed the warrior in, making her way forward.

"As expected, here. Your rat hole is quite well-hidden." Elsa’s light sword disappeared; the legendary warrior immediately collapsed on the ground with blood gushing out of his chest, unable to stop the bleeding as no energy could be utilized here.

Sajia took several nervous steps back, while the other two legendary warriors immediately positioned themselves in front of Sajia.

Elsa walked straight past Sajia and said, "With an open wound like that, if you don’t restore his energy control within a minute, he will surely die."

Ora glanced anxiously at Sajia, who nodded. Ora immediately carried the legendary warrior and left. At the same time, a fully armed warrior rushed in from the perimeter.

"My dear sister, so eager to rush to your death? But what can you do now, deprived of your ability to wield energy?" Sajia said, confident that once inside that door, no energy could be wielded here; the only thing that mattered now was numbers!

At that moment, Elsa was inspecting Nim. The shackles on Nim were robust, unable to be forcibly opened without any energy.

But Elsa grabbed the ends of the shackles and pulled hard; with a snap, the metal shackles shattered!

Elsa tossed the shackles aside, then picked up the chains from the ground and tore them in two, holding a length in each hand, her face lit with a smile, "Of course, doing this!" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

Sajia never expected Elsa to be so formidable without her energy! What Sajia did not realize was that as the power of the Ghost Spirits continuously surged into Elsa’s body, it also greatly enhanced her physique. Though Elsa too lacked energy at the moment, she was much stronger than the average person.

The chains swung about effortlessly in her hands, like two long ropes. The surrounding warriors, armed with weapons, dared not get close because the heavy, thick chains were far more durable than their weapons! A few warriors who charged too close were hit by the chains and sent flying, with the sound of their bones breaking sending shivers down the spines of almost every warrior present.

In the blink of an eye, all the warriors protecting Sajia had been knocked down by Elsa, and only the legendary mage remained by Sajia’s side, whose performance in this energy-deprived room was even less than that of an ordinary person. Elsa effortlessly flung him away, dropped the chains and stood before Sajia.

"Quite the bold move. Should I commend you for your spirit?" Elsa asked, staring into Sajia’s eyes.

"So what do you plan to do? Kill me?" Sajia retorted.

"Of course not, quite the opposite, I won’t do anything. I will let you be," Elsa said, then walked past him.

Sajia turned sharply, about to say something, only to see a kick flying towards his face.

"Sorry, I lied."

Smack!

The kick landed right on Sajia’s nose, and he immediately felt his nose bridge collapsing inward, losing all sensation in his nose. Then, a warm flow trickled down from his nose, tasting blood in his mouth, as uncontrollable tears streamed down his face.

"Tsk tsk, First Prince, you really are in a sorry state. If I were you, I’d shut down this blasted Array first and wait for my nose to recover before going out; otherwise, people might start thinking that their First Prince is actually a spy for the Pig-faced people!"

After finishing her taunt, Elsa simply walked away, with Nim scurrying after her. In the distance, Elsa’s rebuking voice could be heard: "As a guard, if you make me, your master, come to your rescue again, I’ll definitely send you off to some battlefield to serve as a mercenary, so you can properly hone your combat skills. This is too embarrassing."

Sajia was nearly driven mad with rage—Elsa had humiliated him to such an extent, in front of all the surrounding warriors! He covered his face and walked to the Array, taking out a fragment of the Cosmic Stone. The Array instantly shut off, and energy flowed back into his body. Supported by the immense energy, his nose began to heal, but the pain of recovery was akin to the original injury. Blood and tears flowed once more, though Sajia endured the pain.

Half an hour later, while still in severe pain, his nose had completely returned to normal in appearance. However, there was a scratch on his face—a trace left by Elsa’s sharp heel.

But Sajia could no longer be concerned with that; one thought dominated his mind: "Revenge!"

As the First Prince, he had suffered successive setbacks at the hands of Elsa. This would leave everyone with a terrible impression: not only did he, as the First Prince, always try to bully his sister Elsa, but he also failed every time! It was like the sort of story mothers tell their children before bedtime!

Force was not an option, as multiple instances had proven that neither he nor the legendary warriors could gain any advantage through strength. Pure politics was also out of the question since Elsa would not engage in that field. So what could possibly shake Elsa?

Sajia, now sequestered in his study, felt a wave of despair because his little sister seemed almost invulnerable.

After a soft knock on the door, the daily surveillance report on Elsa was delivered. Unsurprisingly, Elsa remained within the old Imperial City, now occupied by the Ghost Spirits.

Wait a minute! Ghost Spirits?

Could this not be... an opportunity?

Sajia immediately smiled. (To be continued. If you like this work, please visit qidian.com to cast your recommendation votes and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please read on m.qidian.com.)
