Chapter 885: Chapter 670: Problem like a Child’s Play

Not only was Slade taken aback, but aside from Long Yi and Little Zi, every single person there was dumbfounded.

For many years, countless magic textbooks have been using the Slade Formula as a standard, continually singing praises of Master Slade’s accomplishments. But now, with just a casual transformation by Ai Lin, the formula’s power had been directly increased by 30%!

Slade had just wanted to take a closer look when Ai Lin dispersed the model.

"Alright, you’ve already lost. You can get lost now. Xiaohong, prepare to attack!"

Ai Lin waved her hand impatiently, and the colossal Red Demon Scorpion immediately raised its crystalline poison stinger.

"Wait a minute! This cannot be counted as your victory!"

Slade exclaimed loudly.

"Oh? And why is that?" Ai Lin asked with a mocking smile as she looked at Slade.

"Because you made modifications based on my formula. You could arrive at that formula because my work laid the groundwork for you!" Slade declared with utter conviction.

"You shameless old bastard, you really have the nerve to say such things?" Ai Lin laughed, and Long Yi did too. Was he really willing to throw away even a Master’s dignity at this point?

"If you want me to acknowledge that formula, then let me carefully examine the changes you made to it!" Slide said.

What, did he not want to recognize it? He’d recognize anything! But he had not clearly seen how the formula was modified! He simply wanted to understand it!

"No need, I don’t require your acknowledgment. If you admit defeat, then get lost; if not, we’ll continue the duel," Ai Lin said, not falling for it.

"Fine! Let’s test out this model!" Slade declared loudly.

"Don’t worry, the outcome will be no different. The gap between you and me is too obvious. You expect to teach me with skills like yours? I wouldn’t dare accept you as a student! Do you know why? Too stupid!"

Ai Lin continued her taunting.

This was a new model. Slade had improved the model, which reduced the original ten-second casting time by two seconds, making it eight seconds. Although it was only a mere two seconds, this achievement was enough to enshrine Slade in history. After all, those two seconds were sufficient to release a lethal spell before your opponent!

As always, Ai Lin paused to think. However, this time Slade did not dare to carelessly speak his mind because he felt that if he did, he might inadvertently land himself in more trouble.

A few minutes later, Ai Lin laughed.

"Simpler than I thought."

Suddenly, Slade’s heart sank.

"Hmph, better think carefully, little girl. If you’re wrong, then you’ve lost!" Slade sneered.

"It’s okay, if I lose, I can just make up some random excuse not to admit it like you did," Ai Lin replied with a smile.

"That wasn’t a made-up excuse! It was a legitimate challenge!" Slade bellowed like a duck whose neck had been wrung.

"Alright, alright, you better think up a ’legitimate challenge’ because I’m about to unveil a new formula," Ai Lin retorted.

With a raise of her hand, the same model appeared. This time she removed Slade’s formula entirely and introduced a new one. And as this formula emerged, the model’s operating speed instantly doubled!

Five seconds!

"This time, I didn’t use your formula," Ai Lin ran the model once, and just as Slade tried to grasp the new formula, Ai Lin dispersed the model again. Then she shook her head: "Never mind, I thought someone as boastful as you might be a remarkable Master, but now it seems you’re just a swaggering old fraud. It’s a shame, I really wanted to play along with you a bit more seriously!"

Saying this, Ai Lin unenthusiastically called to the Red Demon Scorpion, "Forget it, Xiaohong, come back. This is so boring, really a drag."

The Red Demon Scorpion obediently returned to Ai Lin’s hair to serve as an ornament, while Long Yi pointed across and said, "Consider yourselves lucky."

Little Zi and Lingling disappeared simultaneously.

Slade was completely flabbergasted. The two problems he had raised were the proudest achievements of his research. One was about increasing power, and the other was about increasing speed, the two most crucial elements in casting spells. Back then, he had poured endless effort into researching these two aspects, yet now, in front of this little girl, they seemed utterly worthless!

Slade absolutely refused to believe Ai Lin had just improved upon the formula! This formula must have been recently perfected by experts from the Divine Auffa Empire and not yet published! Or perhaps, they were hiding it on purpose!

"No! This isn’t your own strength! Definitely not! I will not accept it!"

Slade roared.

"Old man, there’s a limit to being shameless, you know? You’re an adult, acting like this is unbecoming, especially for someone bearing the title of Master," Long Yi rebuked.

"No! I have one more problem! Solve this, and I will admit you’ve won!" Slade said urgently.

"Maybe we should settle this with fists instead," Long Yi was a bit tired of this verbal sparring.

"It’s fine, let him speak. After all, his so-called difficult problems are at the level of a child’s," Ai Lin said cheerfully.

Ignoring Ai Lin’s sarcasm, Slade looked her in the eye and spoke deliberately, "Jenna’s Rejuvenation spell, can you...?"
