Chapter 745: Chapter 589: A Little Comparison

"Stone Fist bro! You’re back!"

A mountain giant who was roughly the same size as Stone Fist came running.

"I’m back! Where’s my dad?"

"He’s at the mine!"

"Those two jerks are causing trouble again?"

"Exactly! They were chased off a few days ago, and now they’re back."

"Let’s go see what’s up!"

Stone Fist led the way to the far end of the tribe with Long Yi in tow.

On the way, a matronly mountain giant spotted Stone Fist: "Oh, Stone Fist, you’re back! I heard you were captured, wasn’t it? Are you alright?"

With heavy footfalls, the older woman asked lightheartedly.

"Yeah! I’m fine, thanks to this brother who rescued me!" Stone Fist patted Long Yi’s shoulder, and Long Yi winced from the pain. It turned out that the strength of these mountain giants was indeed extraordinary.

"Oh! You should let your dad know, so he can thank this stranger! But this kid looks unfamiliar. What tribe is he from?"

"Ugh! don’t even get me started. This brother of mine lost his memory after being beaten up by slave traders. That’s why I want to find my dad and ask the witch doctor to help."

"Absolutely! Do it quickly! It’s not good to delay when someone is sick! Oh, what a good boy!"

Looking at the matron’s adoring gaze, a sense of melancholy washed over Long Yi, and he even felt his eyes welling up. So this is what it felt like to be looked at with such care!

But, having just been rescued from slave traders, shouldn’t they be asking how I am? And Stone Fist, too - he’s acting as if he just came back from visiting a neighbor. Are they just being carefree, or do they not care at all about what happened?

They passed through the tribe and made their way to the back where a large crowd of mountain giants was gathered. Amidst the crowd, loud arguments could be heard.

"Old Stone Fist! It’s not a matter of disrespect, but this gem mine was discovered by us first! It’s not fair if you don’t share at least half with us!"

"Yes, Old Stone Fist! We demand half!"

Two voices with similar accents sounded one after the other.

"Share my ass! You two didn’t discover a goddamn thing! This mine pit was a leftover scar from the time the Giants planted a bolt. You think we haven’t surveyed it? You two lived here for half a day, and suddenly, it’s yours? I swear I’ll break your legs!"

A voice that sounded somewhat similar to Stone Fist’s roared in response.

"You dare! If you dare to do that, we’ll destroy this vein! None of us would get anything from it!"

The speaker was clearly somewhat intimidated.

"Do it! Let’s see if you can destroy this vein! If you don’t, I swear I’ll bash your skulls in today!"

That caused a stir among the crowd, some were cheering, some were trying to break up the fight.

"Dad? What’s going on?"

Stone Fist squeezed through the crowd with Long Yi in tow. Long Yi was momentarily overwhelmed by a wave of emotion remembering a favorite childhood activity. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

"Nothing! I’m just about to beat these two shameless idiots!"

Old Stone Fist turned around to look at Stone Fist and Long Yi.

"Old Stone Fist, face me! We want a clear answer, do you agree or not!" The two mountain giants shouted in unison. They looked similar but were not as robust as the other giants from the tribe.

"Dream on! Either you get lost today or you die here! There’s no place for your shenanigans in our tribe!" Old Stone Fist roared back dismissively.

"Fine! You said it yourself, don’t regret it later!"

"Regret?"

Old Stone Fist flexed his fists.

"I’ve never regretted anything in my life!"

That said, Old Stone Fist and the two other mountain giants began thrashing.

The crowd around them dispersed instantly.

Clearly, this wasn’t the first time something like this had happened, given the crowd’s practiced retreat.

This was the first time Long Yi witnessed a top plane-level battle.

The strongest attributes of the mountain giants, naturally, were their strength and recovery abilities.

Even as Old Stone Fist was outnumbered, he did not show any signs of defeat.

Fists clashed against fists, sending out powerful tremors. However, the rock-shattering spectacle that Long Yi had imagined did not happen.

Long Yi picked up a rock and tried to crush it with his bare hands. To his surprise, it didn’t break!

It’s so hard!

Was this a trait of the upper planes, or a unique feature of this world?

The combat style of the mountain giants was not particularly advanced. Although it appeared they had some fighting skills, these techniques did not seem refined. It was more about going fist to fist, and watching their straightforward clashes was satisfying.

The three mountain giants’ fists collided with deep booms, producing a thrilling spectacle.

So exciting!

This was the kind of combat I enjoyed most - no room for deceit or fakery at all!

Clearly the two were no match for Old Stone Fist. His punches were faster, harder, and more accurate than theirs. The two fighters were obviously struggling against his matched strength.

"Hahaha, you two are no match for me. You couldn’t beat me yesterday, you can’t beat me today, and you won’t beat me tomorrow!"

Old Stone Fist was getting increasingly gleeful as he fought, his fists swinging with ferocious power. Exhaustion was evident in the faces of the two opponents.
