Chapter 735: Chapter 583 Outpost
Spreading their wings and surging with mana, Ai Lin and Long Yi soared into the sky!
The dormant Shadow Silver Dragon transformed into a shield, blocking all incoming spells. These Ghost Dragons had no Fighting Aura, only spells. And that was exactly what the Shadow Silver Dragon loved. Pure spells, no matter how many, could not affect the Shadow Silver Dragon in the slightest!
"We’re almost there!"
Ai Lin shouted, with the metal deck of the Floating Island looming right before them!
"I’ve got this!"
Long Yi roared, the power of a Giant gathering in his fist! He planed to punch right through here and bust in!
But at that moment, the metal deck confronting them suddenly split open. Revealing a passage beyond, Long Yi and Ai Lin swiftly flew in. The deck closed up again as lights inside the passage lit up.
"Welcome to the Land Outpost #377."
A pleasant female voice rang out, and a holographic female figure materialized in front of Long Yi.
The passage was impossibly tall, evidently designed for Giants, and the female figure was originally quite tall. However, her size quickly diminished significantly.
"The Intelligent Interface is at your service. What do you require?"
Supporting Ai Lin to her feet, Long Yi quickly replied, "I want to destroy that Ghost Dragon, Raz, down below immediately. Do you have any ideas how?"
"To command me to destroy any form of life, at least three authorizations from the Highest Council are required. You currently possess only one authorization, hence I’m unable to activate the termination mode."
"What if I manually operate it?"
"Under Giant law, everything here belongs to you. You have the right to engage in any activity, and I cannot stop you."
"Wait, if everything here belongs to me, doesn’t that include you?"
"Yes, everything here except for me. I am a multi-dimensional processing system that belongs under the jurisdiction of the Highest Council."
"Damn it!"
"Command not recognized."
"Don’t mind me; it’s a nonessential word that just expresses my dissatisfaction."
Taking Ai Lin by the hand, Long Yi set off deeper inside.
"I need a detailed map of this place that highlights the weapons’ locations."
"Map uploaded."
"Is the Sky-top Library that the Dragon Clan speaks of here?"
"The Sky-top Library is the Main Storage Center here."
"Are all the Dragon Souls there?"
"Yes, all Dragon Souls are stored as compressed information in the Main Storage Space."
"How strong are its defenses?"
"Nothing in the current Human Realm can destroy the Main Storage."
"Phew... That’s a relief. Come on, Ai Lin, help me check out these places!"
Long Yi had previously gleaned quite some information about this Floating Island from a Maintenance Golem in outer space, and knew exactly how to avoid clauses that were disadvantageous to him.
Although the Giants had not developed this Outpost as a weapon, it had formidable ground combat capabilities. Although some of the exposed weaponry had been destroyed by the Ghost and Corpse Dragons, its primary weapon systems were completely unscathed.
Long Yi’s plan was to manually start these weapon systems!
And rebooting the weapon system required Ai Lin’s help.
For some unknown reason, Ai Lin had etched all the Giant spells onto herself, meaning she, theoretically, could use all Giant facilities. Long Yi aimed to utilize this ability!
Long Yi busied himself within the spacious cabin, reconnecting various pipelines.
"After the Dragon Clan took over this place, it seems they didn’t make many changes."
Long Yi commented.
"Obviously, it was already quite an effort for the Dragon Clan just to learn how to use these devices. Attempting to modify anything here would have been absolutely unthinkable. Any changes you see have only been made externally. They lacked the knowledge and the courage to make more internal modifications. Moreover, even if they truly planned to make such substantial modifications, I would absolutely not allow it."
The Intelligent Interface told Long Yi.
"That sure saves me a lot of trouble." Long Yi, who was connecting various cables, replied.
What Long Yi was doing was bypassing the control system of the Floating Island and switching all devices to manual mode so he could manually open the optimally powerful main cannon of the Floating Island. Officially known as the "Ground Resurfacing Device," once activated, the main cannon would fire a powerful beam of light that would spread outward upon hitting the ground. Everything on the surface within a radius of over ten kilometers would be upturned, ground to pieces, then compacted to form a flat surface.
And now, Long Yi was preparing to hit Raz with that!
The Intelligent Interface remained at Long Yi’s side, answering every query he had. Other than being physically unable to help Long Yi, it answered all his questions. Whatever function each line possessed, or the principle behind setting certain Array positions, the Interface would tell Long Yi in detail. As for how to execute it, that was left to Long Yi’s own judgement.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Ai Lin’s task was apparently much simpler.
Ai Lin’s task was to shut down two of the Floating Island’s three Power Centers. This Floating Island was a Giant’s Land Outpost, not tasked with defense or interstellar navigation, consequently not requiring much power. Three small Power Centers were located at the three corners of the Floating Island. Originally, there would have been councilors guarding here, but they were all out in battle now, leaving no obstructions.
