Chapter 547: Chapter 432: Invincible! _2

As Long Yi disengaged from his work and reappeared before everyone, his face was filled with excitement.

"Come on! Try it!"

Boom!

The huge anchor slammed into the ground, its menacing appearance perfectly merged with intricate details. Most importantly, Long Yi had made the huge anchor mirror-like! It sported a level of precision even superior to a Computer Numerical Control machining center, meaning this shiny, glistening anchor on the battlefield could easily blind any enemy.

Ruosha’s eyes sparkled. She carefully picked up the giant anchor and swung it lightly. As the serrated edges cut through the air, they made a hissing sound like a venomous snake.

"It’s beautiful...I want to sleep hugging it tonight..." Ruosha murmured.

"Isrile is already working on the chain. In this world, there’s nothing better than a spider silk chain!" Long Yi happily announced.

Isrile wasn’t too fond of the idea of contributing her spider silk. The sudden appearance of a little girl daring to compete with her position as the top sister in Long Yi’s Legion irked her. But then, to everyone’s surprise, Ruosha humbly asked for Isrile’s help. Evidently, Ruosha adored the new anchor, or else this normally self-assertive loli would never make such a move.

However, how long this surface-level humility would last is up for debate.

The spider silk possessed a far greater tensile strength than metal, and Isrile being a Dragon Hunting Spider, her dragon power infused silk was exceptionally strong. Especially when Ruosha conceded, the elated Isrile meticulously crafted a cable of sturdy spider silk over a thousand meters long for her. Long Yi affixed this wrist-thick cable to the end of the anchor, and Ruosha, unable to contain her excitement, dashed off towards the training ground.

The heavy anchor moved fluidly under Ruosha’s control. Though she was now smaller, her skills hadn’t faltered. In fact, with her now completely humanoid stature, she was able to execute martial arts techniques more smoothly. This puzzled Long Yi. Ruosha’s martial skills came from the True Sea Dragon, who was indeed a dragon, so why were the techniques more suited to a humanoid martial artist? Was this also part of the ancient heritage?

Having a new toy meant Ruosha wasn’t clinging to Long Yi as much anymore. This allowed Long Yi a chance to focus on his other tasks.

Long Yi watched as the colossal farming machines began to roar across the land of the Fertile Plains Federation after several trials. This terrifying introduction to a mechanized innovation known as a tractor had everyone in awe. Particularly for monotonous, repetitive tasks, the efficiency offered by large machines was revolutionary. Ordinarily, a farmer, with an ox and plow, would plow one haphazard furrow at a time, slowly and imperfectly. But with machinery, twenty furrows could be quickly and evenly plowed at once!

However, although speedy, the machines were also incredibly draining. The Power Crystal Core needed to be replaced twice every half-day, meaning four times a day. Fortunately, the White Dragon Empire’s experimental team was constantly on standby. Moreover, they had been mass-producing Power Crystal Cores, so there were more than enough replacements. After a night, those cores taken out would be recharged and ready for the subsequent day.

So it was, the beginning of the mechanical farming age for the Fertile Plains Federation, and the birth of its first batch of large farm owners. As the primary recipients of this technology, the Fertile Plains Federation, not intending to pay for the machinery use nor the Core recharging fees, planned to compensate with abundant food resources.

That was exactly what the White Dragon Empire needed.

In the future, once this technology is perfected, it should be employed on the farmlands of the White Dragon Empire. For now, however, the experimental fields beneath the heavy mechanical plowing had the officials of the Fertile Plains Federation grinning from ear to ear.

The successful tractor tests not only solved the cultivation problem but also evaluated the sturdiness of the Power Crystal Cores under frequent, high-load use. There were initially some issues with the Power Crystal Cores, mostly due to design flaws. But after several adjustments, these problems were resolved. The newest versions of the Core were then installed in the Power Armor.

Speaking of the Power Armor, the newly upgraded, dual-cannon structure had transformed the Power Armor into a balanced platform for offense and defense, capable of inflicting significant long-range damage and becoming a meat grinder in close combat.

Recently, soldiers who had completed the Power Armor modification had begun secret shooting drills. Starting from static targets, advancing to moving ones, and finally, shooting while on the move themselves, in various postures. These were standard drills that Long Yi went through when he was in the military. Though a pilot, Long Yi always excelled in shooting. By bringing these drills into this world, he hoped that these soldiers could whittle down the enemy’s life force before engaging in close combat. Additionally, if possible, they could assist the Dragon Knights in battle from the ground with their Light Cannons.
