Chapter 508: Chapter 397 - My Treasure

During the subsequent time, Long Yi proposed two cooling methods for this new machine: air cooling and water cooling. The former was simpler, but the latter, though offering better results, might not be feasible due to material technology limitations.

Eventually, Long Yi decided to solve the problem by expanding the cooling fins and adding a large-sized fan.

When Long Yi mentioned the word "fan," everyone was puzzled. They had thought Long Yi intended to add a swaying iron sheet. But when Long Yi drew the fan shape, everyone was astounded.

"This thing, can it create wind?"

Angidd and Morton asked together.

"Of course, it can!" Having used fans for many years, Long Yi was confident about this.

No one in this world had seen fan blades of such a shape, and as a Giant, Long Yi was almost numb to hot and cold. Thus, he had never thought about fans before. When he suddenly produced fan blades, everyone was immediately scared.

Long Yi made a simple three-blade fan with cardboard. When the fan blades started to rotate and generate airflow, everyone was dumbfounded.

Is this possible?!?

The Dwarves carved their buildings into caves. They did have ventilation systems, but they used naturally recycled airflow instead of active ventilation. As for the Humans, they had never thought about such things!

Thus, a new technologic branch was lit, with Angidd and Morton thinking about it separately.

’How about making a batch of Crystal Core fans for these rich lords?’ Long Yi thought at this moment. However, the more he thought, the more reasonable he found it to be. Wait, why don’t I make some Crystal Core electric cars for sale? Won’t that be even more profitable?

Hahaha! I am indeed a genius!

The tractor’s problem was not a big deal; it was merely the cooling system. The problem had been basically resolved in less than two days. As for the problem of the Fertile Plains Federation, it was beyond Long Yi’s control. After all, the tractor needed to undergo tests before it could actually be used, so it wouldn’t be ready in time for spring farming. However, if progress was quick enough, summer cultivation might be possible.

The Fertile Plains Federation was located in the south, with fertile soil, abundant rainfall, and appropriate sunlight. It could practically cultivate four seasons of crops a year. Hence, Long Yi did not have to worry about his tractor being useless. Meanwhile, the Fertile Plains Federation had also received relevant news. When they learned that the tractor wouldn’t be ready for use in a short time, the envoys were disappointed. But when they heard Long Yi saying that it might be available for summer farming, they became excited once again. After all, this time, the promise came from Long Yi himself.

After solving the agricultural problems, Long Yi immediately proceeded to the Elf’s shop, Shining Silver. Here, the twin Elf sisters were waiting for Long Yi to appear.

"I’m here, what´s the matter?" Long Yi asked succinctly while speaking to the Elves.

"The Empress asked us to tell you, Sir Long Yi, that this is a request from the Silver Dragon. The Silver Dragon has lost a very important item in the ocean. It seemed to have reappeared recently, and she requests your help in retrieving it." The two Elf sisters said in unison, creating a harmony effect.

"What exactly is it?"

"Fire Control Radar."

Damn it! They lost even the Fire Control Radar? Was it disassembled in the air? It must have been disassembled in the air! How could it still bounce around after being taken apart?

"Okay, where was it lost?" Long Yi asked, rather helplessly.

"The Fire Control Radar was found by the Sea Clan, but the Princess of the Sea Clan refuses to return it. She says that all strange items found in the sea belong to Brother Long. We guess that Brother Long she refers to is you, so we came to you for help," said the Elves.

Okay, after a big loop, the matter between the Elves and the Sea Clan turned out to be the same!

"Well, the Princess of the Sea Clan has also contacted me. I will figure it out!" Long Yi said.

"Alright, we will wait for your news here. If the Sea Clan refuses to return the Silver Dragon’s belongings, we’ll have no choice but to resort to war!" The Elves looked resolute and serious.

Long Yi nodded to show his understanding, not doubting the Elves’ determination at all. When Long Yi left, the two Elves looked at each other: "Do you think Long Yi understood our joke?"

"Our expressions were very obvious. Given Long Yi’s ability, he must have realized it right away."

"I think so too, in order to communicate better with Long Yi, we must practice more."

At this moment, Long Yi knew nothing about what happened behind him, but took out Xiaoyou and rushed towards the sea. Nearly a third of the White Dragon Empire’s territory was coastline. There were Sea Clan embassies in three coastal cities. Long Yi went straight to the embassy that had sent the message. The embassy had already prepared a submarine. Within ten minutes, Long Yi had left the land and arrived in the dark underwater world.

With the experience from his previous trip, Long Yi found it much easier this time. Mina, who had already received the news, was waiting for Long Yi in her palace.

However, she didn’t have the set of Fire Control Radar in her hands.

"Huh? That’s not what I said!" Mina shook her tiny head and responded, "I told the elf, even if that Fire Control Radar is in my hands, I won’t give it to them, because it belongs to my big brother Long Yi!"

"If it’s not with you... then where is it?" Long Yi asked with a puzzled look.

"In the hands of an idiot!"

"An idiot?"

The ocean expanses are vast. Many years ago, the humans who lived in the sea became the Sea Clan, ruling over the boundless oceans, and became dominant in different sea areas. Apart from Boris, whom Long Yi knew, there were six other Sea Emperors each controlling different regions. Located near Boris’s territory was another Sea Emperor named Clamdi, and that Fire Control Radar was in the hands of his son, Bangi.

Because Boris’s territory bordered the most developed commercial country, the White Dragon Empire, his country could obtain an abundance of resources from them. However, Clamdi’s kingdom was not as fortunate. If he wanted to obtain any resources, he needed to buy them from Boris. The cost difference between buying something directly from humans and buying it from Boris’s hands is drastic.

Once, there was a war between the two nations, but it resulted in a stalemate. Therefore, Clamdi thought of another way - a political marriage. Although Clamdi’s kingdom was not as developed, his territories reached far and wide, and it was considered one of the best in the Seven Seas. To some extent, it can also be considered powerful. Boris was not opposed to the idea of an alliance through marriage.

However, it all depended on Mina’s opinion.

But Mina’s stance was clear.

Forget about it! 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

Little Mina was undeniably beautiful and adorable among the Sea Clan. She had great magical power, and although a bit temperamental, she was not mean-spirited. Anybody would like a cute princess like her and Bangi was no exception.

Bangi went on a fervent pursuit of Mina, but unfortunately, she didn’t have eyes for him.

Eventually, Bangi couldn’t stand it any longer. He directly asked Mina, "What is it about me that’s not good enough? You can tell me straight away!"

And so, Mina told him, "You’re too weak."

Though the Sea Clan were humans who had come to live underwater, their physical appearances hadn’t changed over the years.

Obviously, the one Mina used for comparison was Long Yi. No matter in terms of height or muscle, Bangi, pampered as a prince, couldn’t possibly grow into a large man like Long Yi.

Bangi couldn’t accept this answer and began investigating who Mina was interested in. This investigation ultimately pointed to one person.

Long Yi.

Upon learning about Long Yi’s background, Bangi scoffed. A mere human, no matter how successful on land, what could he do in the sea?

Soon after, though, Bangi’s opportunity arose. He accidentally found a peculiarly made object on the seafloor. When casually mentioning it, he caught Mina’s attention. When Mina saw the object, she immediately wanted it from Bangi. However, Bangi refused, asking Mina to become his girlfriend instead. How could feisty Mina agree? So, they continued at an impasse.

Late on, Bangi proposed a condition. He wanted a fair duel with Long Yi. If Long Yi could win, he would give the object to Mina.

So, Mina ambiguously sought out Long Yi through the Sea Clan Embassy. As for how the elves came to know about it, that was a mystery to all.

"Ah, so it’s just a fight." Long Yi laughed. If it was about counseling children, he wasn’t good at that. But if it came to fighting, could there be anything easier?

"Exactly! Long brother, I want you to beat him till he’s black and blue! Teach him a heavy lesson!" Mina cheerfully said, swinging her small fists.

When Sea Emperor Boris saw Long Yi appear, he had no idea what had transpired. After hearing Mina’s account, he couldn’t help laughing wryly. Silly little Mina, she took a simple matter and made it complicated. Actually, the Fire Control Radar was of no use under the sea and no one recognized it. As long as Boris gave a word, Clamdi would have obediently delivered it. But Mina’s independent action led to the complication of the problem.

"Doesn’t the matter seem trivial? It’s just one fight." Long Yi didn’t sense any severity in the matter.

"Just ’one’ fight?" Boris laughed.

"It’s not a series of fights, right?" Long Yi grimaced.

"Ah... child, there’s only one rule in the sea, and that’s victory. Unlike the land people, who are bound by morality and law, disputes among the Sea Clan are settled through power. Once you win a match, you’ll face more and stronger challenges until you lose."

"Wait, this isn’t fair, right? I’m just one person."

"Who told you this would be a fair duel? He just said it would be a duel with you. Even if he sends an army to fight, you won’t won’t be able to complain!"

"My God! That’s too unfair, right?" Long Yi couldn’t understand it at all. (To be continued. If you like this work, please vote and donate at qidian.com. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian.com for reading.)
