Chapter 475: Chapter 365: A Small Trade

Black Dragon Empire.

Originally Kaniel’s study, the room has now been completely cleared and replaced with a fully equipped laboratory.

The new Emperor of the Black Dragon Empire, Yake Black, had made this his bedroom.

A giant metal chair was placed in the center of the room. Yake sat in the chair, various tubes connecting to his body. These drugs maintained Yake’s body balance and suppressed the influence of the hell sludge on Yake.

"Hehe, this is ridiculous. I clearly ordered a massacre in the square to cause chaos. But these Yakshas, after seeing Long Yi, completely forgot my order and all went to attack Long Yi? Rongka, Rongka, don’t you trust me that much? You think these useless beings can kill Long Yi?" A mocking smile crept up on Yake’s half face.

"The Eternal Emperor doesn’t actually trust anyone. If there is any opportunity, he will break the agreement between us." Tilian, who was mixing medicine on the side, said.

"Well, let him be. Once you fully understand the composition of the hell sludge, do we really need him?" Disdain covered Yake’s half-human face.

"I didn’t expect that Long Yi would capture a Yaksha." Tilian said.

"So what? Are you worried that Long Yi can make a large number of Yakshas obey him in just three days? Even if he creates a bunch of Yakshas, what can he do? They’re just a waste of scouts!" Yake said.

"Haha, indeed. And, these Yakshas were originally sent by Rongka to monitor you. Now they’re all dead, it’s actually a good thing. We can finally continue our experiment." Tilian said.

"Yes, I can’t wait to see the powerful, tireless death knights!"

Heaven Realm.

Selena was walking anxiously, a mood she hadn’t experienced for a long time.

Since Elsa first pushed the Boundary Monument, the territory of the Heaven Realm changed every day. Elsa was like a perpetual motion machine, spending each day fighting. This continuous battle lasted until she had compressed the Ghost Spirits’ area to an extreme.

The Celestial Clan could no longer advance a step forward.

With a major expansion of Heaven Realm’s territory, virtually all of the Celestial Clan were singing Elsa’s praises every day. At first, Selena was very worried that if this continued, the Heaven Realm would only acknowledge Elsa, which would greatly affect her status. However, after that sisterly talk, Selena realized that her little sister was not concerned about this at all. Although the two sisters had not completely resolved their resentments, they had reached a simple agreement.

Selena needed to help Elsa keep an eye on the situation in the Human Realm, especially Long Yi’s actions. If Long Yi encountered any difficulties, she would notify Elsa immediately.

In exchange, Elsa would ensure that Selena possessed the precious power without any worry. What’s more, Elsa would help Selena become the Empress!

Frankly speaking, even Selena herself did not believe this exchange, but Elsa did it. The current Elsa was extremely powerful. With back-to-back battles, the number of Light Wings on her back kept increasing, adding more pressure on Selena with each addition. As Elsa put it, she had no reason to lie. If she wanted, Selena was no match for her.

Therefore, Selena chose to trust Elsa.

Now, Selena had just received a shocking piece of news. After confirming the reliability of the news, she rushed to Elsa’s palace.

Upon arrival, however, she found Elsa in the garden, doing some strange movements. Her movements were smooth and slow but had an unusual beauty to them.

But Selena was still terrified. She found that Elsa’s Light Wings were gone! 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

Only those with more than ten Light Wings could hide them! This meant Elsa’s power had increased yet again while she wasn’t paying attention!

"Ahem, little sister." Selena cleared her throat. Elsa stopped and opened her eyes.

"Sister, good morning." Elsa said.

"I’m sorry to disturb you, but I have a very important message to deliver." Selena said.

"That’s fine. This martial art is taught to me by Brother Long. It’s meant to calm my mind when I feel I’m advancing too fast in strength."

Selena had no time to be startled by Elsa’s power, because what she was about to say was ten thousand times more important.

"I just received news that, on the New Year’s Eve in the Human Realm, a Yaksha suddenly attacked the Emperor of the White Dragon Empire." Selena said.

Upon hearing this, Elsa lightly furrowed her beautiful eyebrows: "Which means, the lord of the 18 tiers in Hell, that so-called Eternal Emperor Rongka, might be tired of living."

Selena couldn’t help but give a bitter smile. Everyone surely had different interpretations of this event. But probably only Elsa would say that Eternal Emperor Rongka was tired of living.

"I specifically asked the pair of Succubi sisters from the demon realm about this. They’re aware of it, and Yavenny has already warned Long Yi." Selena said.

"So, are they interested in reopening the war between the three realms?" Elsa asked.

"Not at all! Absolutely not! Not them, nor us!" Selena quickly responded.

Joking? The war between the three realms lasted for more than six thousand years! Finally, with the help of the Giants, it stopped. Apart from the lunatics in Hell, almost everyone was fed up. Whether it’s the Heaven Realm or the demon realm, no one wants the war to restart.

"Oh, well. As long as Brother Long is in the Human Realm, that stupid Rongka can’t make any big moves." Elsa said. Then she paused, "Wait! Since the forces of Hell are involved, Brother Long probably doesn’t have any good ways to deal with them... What should we do?" Elsa worried again.

"Maybe, we can help him a little?" Selena suggested.

"How can I help?" Elsa exclaimed, her eyes wide.

"The Heaven Realm has a wealth of experience in wars against Hell, and we possess sufficient technology to handle the threat of Hell. Although we can’t directly help Long Yi, we can deliver some resources to him!" Selena explained.

"That’s awesome! Thank you, Selena! Hurry up! Hurry up!" To Selena’s surprise, Elsa leaped up in joy like a little child.

Selena discerned that the simplest way to appeal to Elsa did not require manipulation or cunning scheme. The countless experiences proved one simplest way was to aid Long Yi.

Help Long Yi.

Two days went by.

Under Long Yi’s directive, the Imperial Research Institute conducted a series of experiments, which however showed virtually no effect on the Hell Mud. The power of Hell had unparalleled corrosiveness and absorptive capacity; it could devour any force entirely.

Even the power of the Giants was no exception.

Long Yi knew that Yaksha’s body contained the genes of the Giants. He attempted to reactivate these genes, but the giant genes refused to respond to his activation due to the interference of Hell’s power.

No wonder the Giants, who were once deemed all-powerful, were powerless here. Due to this characteristic, the Giants’ scepter also failed to generate any power since it hinged on the power of the Giants.

The third day was imminent. The severity of the situation left Long Yi in a state of turmoil. Ai Lin and Little Zi had already joined the research team, trying to break through this deadlock via meticulous investigation.

However, was it so easy? Rongka had been manipulating the entire Tier 18 of Hell using the Hell Mud for countless years, yet very few individuals could emancipate themselves from the control of the Hell Mud. These were only two days; unless a miracle occurred, there was no chance for Long Yi to succeed.

How did it turn out this way?

In order to achieve the most stable experimental environment, Long Yi took a severe measure. He collected some substances from Yaksha’s body and retreated into his private space.

Long Yi conducted a series of experiments with the Giant’s scepter, but the outcomes were consistently disheartening. As formidable as the power of the Giants was, it could not exert its capabilities due to the oppressive dominance of the Hell Mud.

Poor Long Yi, an honest man, lay sprawled on the ground, gasping for air. The private space was noticeably spacious. The gold giant, resembling Long Yi, stood with a giant sword in each hand, one gold and one black. He wore a helmet and armguards. These items constituted the Giant’s armory that Long Yi had found. His clothes laid in a neat pile, carefully folded by Little Zi following Ai Lin’s selection. Meat, the main food, was stocked on one side, with condiments and fruits.

Of course, several bags of gold coins, Wesley’s commission to Long Yi, occupied a corner.

In this tranquil space, Long Yi’s breathing echoed.

Somethings not right!

Long Yi, who was initially lying flat, instantly sat up.

Somethings completely off! Long Yi glanced around uncertainly.

Is there something missing from this space?

Long Yi cast glances all around, but he felt as if something was mysteriously missing.

What on earth is it?

As for memory, Long Yi was rather confident, particularly when it came to memorizing immaterial things; he was not concerned at all.

Then, what has been lost here?

The deeper Long Yi thought about it, the more peculiar it seemed. If this were the previous world, where he was a common human, he would have assumed he lacked rest and consequently fallen into a deep slumber. But in this world, Long Yi was a Giant! He was certain that no anomaly concerning his spirit existed!

Long Yi looked at the Giant’s tablet in his hand and instantly activated a feature.

Environmental Scan.

To adapt to different settings, the Giant’s tablet could assist Giants in assessing the surroundings’ environmental factors.

Air: Good.

Gravity: Good.

Magnetic field: None.

A series of items were declared to be "good". Long Yi quickly browsed, dragging all the entries to the bottom. At the last row, Long Yi noticed two entries.

Spatial Stability: Not enclosed.

Time Stability: +45 degrees, correction +11.

Damn, what do these two readings mean? (to be continued. If you enjoy this work, please vote or leave your comments on qidian.com. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users can read on m.qidian.com.)
