Chapter 441: Chapter 337: Great Treasure!
At this moment.
Crystal Demon Planet.
A large crystal spaceship slowly landing on the platform on top of the Crystal Imperial Palace. The spaceship disintegrates, turning into streams of light that depart, representing the consciousness of the imperial guard returning to their bodies. In mid-air, a Crystal Core is floating, absorbing the surrounding crystals, quickly growing into a young girl’s shape.
Belle doesn’t hesitate, she strides towards the palace, heading towards the Emperor’s meditation room. The Emperor usually handles state affairs in his meditation room. The ministers would gather various matters and report to the Emperor through the central crystal, and the Emperor would reply to each minister through the same method. Except for the once-a-week meeting, the Emperor usually wouldn’t need to meet with his ministers.
Just as Belle reaches the door of the meditation room, she sees a man standing at the entrance, watching her with a contemptuous smile on his face. Even though his body is also made out of crystals, his crystals are visibly more rugged, some crystals are uneven, making him look extremely arrogant.
He’s Huoling, Belle’s brother, the first prince of the Crystal Royal Family.
"Well, my sister, you aided a human, only to be beaten by a Crazy Demon so much so that you don’t even have the power to teleport back to your body? Still maintaining this ugly body to this very moment?" Huoling remarked.
"Let me pass, I don’t have time to deal with you." Belle said.
"Father is handling important affairs, he doesn’t have time for you either. You’re better off amusing yourself elsewhere." As he said this, Huoling leaned closer to Belle and whispered, "You actually needed the help of a human to hunt a Level Sixteen Crazy Demon. Do you really think Father will give you equal inheritance rights? Stop dreaming, Father just consoles you as the little fool you are."
Upon hearing Huoling’s words, Belle is visibly indignant. Under normal circumstances, she typically would argue with him. But right now, she was not in the mood for it.
"Get out of my sight, idiot, I really don’t have time to play with you," Belle’s voice increases slightly.
As Huoling opens his mouth to retort, a deep and powerful voice comes from behind the door.
"Belle? I’m currently addressing national affairs, stop squabbling with your brother. Get your original body back first, then come see me. " The speaker is none other than the Crystal Emperor, Saul.
A mocking smile spreads across Huoling’s face, he waves dismissively at Belle. Yet, Belle does not leave. Instead, she raises her voice, "Father! What I have to say is more important than any national affairs you’re currently conducting!"
Huoling is taken aback. He hadn’t expected the usually obedient Belle to defy their father!
"You fool! Can’t you hear Father’s command?" Huoling charges forward, intending to physically confront her. Naturally, Belle isn’t one to show weakness. Normally, she would probably retreat due to her weaker power. But now she had just obtained new power, she certainly wasn’t afraid of Huoling.
"Alright...come in," Saul sighed. He apologized to his ministers and deactivated the mental link. For the Emperor, who dotes on his children, the ministers have long accepted his behavior.
Huoling glares ferociously at Belle. However, Belle completely ignores his menacing stare. Hurriedly, she pushes open the heavy crystal door, shutting Huoling and his hostile gaze outside.
In the room, behind an incredibly massive crystal, Emperor Saul looks helplessly at his daughter.
"Well, my daughter, what urgent business is it this time? You’re in such a hurry that you haven’t even switched back to your original body."
Belle nods her head, then raises her hand. Immediately, a ray of light emanates from her hand. The originally exhausted Emperor suddenly feels his Demon Power surge crazily within him. Within just a few seconds, the Demon Power rushes wildly inside him, he had never possessed such immense power before!
"What... what is this?" Saul asks in surprise.
"This is the power of the Catalyst Crystal Stone. With it, any Crystal Demon around me can obtain a tremendous boost in power!" Belle proclaims.
"Where did you get such a precious item?" Saul asks hastily while feeling the surge of power within him.
"Remember when I told you that a human was helping me in the Human Realm? That was a lie to fool that idiot Huoling. Actually, it was a Giant who helped me. He gifted me this Catalyst Crystal Stone!"
"A Giant! It’s actually a Giant! They have reappeared?" Saul gasps in surprise.
Giants had once helped the Crystal Demon Tribe to successfully escape the control of Crystal Poison and also aided the Tribe in moving from their original planet to the current one. After that, the Giants disappeared. Later, they heard rumors that the Dragon Clan betrayed the Giants, leading to their disappearance. Fortunately, after ten thousand years of evolution, the Crystal Demons have adapted to their new bodies and started to multiply and build a powerful nation on their new planet.
However, every Crystal Demon who understands their history wishes to personally thank the Giants who helped them. Despite being a race created by the Gods like the Demons, the ones who truly aided the Demon Tribe were in fact the Giants.
"Where is the Giant? How did you meet him?" Saul asks urgently.
So, Belle described the entire process to Saul in detail.
"In that case, they must have left by now." Saul breathed a sigh of relief.
Saul looked at his daughter, who had just come of age and was still childlike, yet had accomplished this great deed. Perhaps this move would be key to the rise of the Crystal Demons!
Within the Multiverse, the Crystal Demons were nearly marginalized. The simple reason being, Crystal Poison. Although Crystal Demons had managed to coexist peacefully with Crystal Poison, for other creatures within this universe, Crystal Poison was still deadly. Despite the Crystal Demons’ greatest efforts, not a single racial group from any Plane was willing to establish any contact with them. Through millennia of evolution, Crystal Demons have attempted to nullify Crystal Poison, but the result of nullification was the death of Crystal Demons.
Crystal Demons had all but given up contact with the multi-universe, planning for solitary growth. However, the arrival of the Giant has once again put this possibility before Saul!
"My daughter, do you understand how important this is for our entire race, the Crystal Demons?" Saul said excitedly.
"Yes, I understand, my father, which is why I did not even notify that fool, Huoling." Belle replied.
"Your caution is correct, but... Huoling is your brother, can you stop calling him a fool? You two are always arguing, outsiders will laugh at us." Saul was somewhat helpless. These siblings were as incompatible as fire and water—always arguing and sometimes even resorting to violence on a mere disagreement. Belle was slightly weaker and consequently was often bullied. Yet, she has never complained to Saul, and instead persistently challenged Huoling.
Now, it seems that Huoling is unaware that his little sister, who he constantly mocks, has grown stronger.
"I know, so I ignored him today. He is just a big fool who thinks about being emperor all day, I have far greater ideals and goals!" Belle proudly puffed out her chest.
While looking at her daughter, Saul felt an overwhelming sense of emotion. If Crystal Demons still had the ability to shed tears, wouldn’t he be in tears by now?
Perhaps the siblings are still young, but now Saul needs to seriously consider whether the emperor’s position is really suitable for Huoling.
Long Yi thought that having survived a catastrophe, he was destined for good fortune.
So, after leaving the battlefield, the first thing he did was not to celebrate or brag to Kirei. Instead, he rushed into an underground gambling den, gambled away a thousand gold coins in high spirits, and then left dejectedly.
Damn it!
Where is the luck that is supposed to come after surviving misfortune? Where is the lucky aura of the traveler? He played all seventeen games in the casino all night long and didn’t win a single round!
Wait, the so-called fortune after misfortune could have meant that he was fortunate not to have been killed by the spatial channel during the crisis on the Crazy Demon planet.
Indeed, he sucks at gambling! While others lose nine out of ten times, but for him, a fat sheep with a bag of gold coins, they didn’t even let him taste victory for a single round!
The casino owner was also sweating bullets because as soon as Long Yi, the ignorant lad, rushed into his casino with a bag of gold coins, he was immediately recognized. After all, the casino owner was a patriot and, upon seeing Long Yi, decided to let his blood flow, wanting to make Long Yi happy. As a result, the casino owner immediately issued instructions to everyone to let Long Yi win as much as possible.
But!
This seemed like a destined fate!
Despite all their gambling skills and cheating techniques employed, Long Yi did not win a single game! An entire bag of gold coins was quickly lost. Seeing the look in Long Yi’s eyes when he left, the owner of the casino wanted to chew his foolish employees alive. What if Long Yi were to suddenly get angry? What would they do then?
However, the results showed that Long Yi had an acceptable gambling style; he was a gracious loser and left the casino sullenly.
In his lifetime, the casino owner had seen many large fortunes. But at this moment, the bag of gold coins seemed incredibly heavy to him.
Upon leaving the casino, Long Yi deeply breathed in the reasonably cool night air and eventually decided to cheer up. He decided to go to Kirei and brag about his merits to boost morale.
Then, Kirei, with his great eloquence, managed to pull Long Yi out of the gloom of his gambling loss. Losing gold coins was a small matter, one’s mood was more important.
As he looked at the pile of Crystal Cores stacked in the warehouse, Long Yi also felt a sense of accomplishment. The carefully selected workers were sorting the Crystal Cores under Ma Deburg’s leadership. One third of these Crystal Cores were of extremely high quality, the kind usually found with the powerful demons. In fact, there were even higher quality ones here!
Long Yi credited the Crystal Demons in his accomplishment to Kirei, not highlighting his encounters with the two large Crazy Demons. This part was too thrilling and difficult to explain, so Long Yi simply glossed over it.
Kirei was not concerned about whose hands these Crystal Cores came from. All he knew was that without Long Yi, there wouldn’t be a single Crystal Core here! (To Be Continued.
