Chapter 399: Chapter 295: Sisters

Heavenly Realm.

At this moment, Elsa was coldly watching the group of monsters in front of her.

Demons.

When in the human realm, some demons had also invaded, and the strongest among them had been called Great Demons by humans. However, these so-called Great Demons were like babies compared to the monsters in front of her.

The crazed life-forms of the Crazy Demon Plane constantly attempted to break through the interplanar pathway, led by a crystal poison instinct that drove these creatures to attack others, spreading the poison further.

However, while they were powerful, they were facing the strongest military force in the Heavenly Realm.

Now, not being in the human realm anymore, Elsa had no need to hide herself or suppress her power fiercely. On the contrary, Elsa devoted herself to enhancing her own strength, aiming to establish herself in the Heavenly Realm before Long Yi arrived.

Truthfully, Elsa might not be adept at power politics. But there was one thing she excelled at.

Strength. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

With strength, you have everything. What could anyone with power and influence do against her?

A few days ago, a massive interdimensional wound appeared in the Beast Clan territory, and the Demon Tribe invaded. The Beast Clan resisted desperately but still suffered heavy casualties. Two Guardian Beasts were killed and rapidly corrupted, becoming part of the Demon Tribe.

Having no other choice, the Beast Clan requested help from the Celestial Clan, and the two princesses immediately led their troops to their aid.

Princess Elsa and Princess Selena had completely different personalities. Princess Selena was more easygoing and started hunting demons on a large scale with her soldiers. The Beast Clan also organized a counterattack, and the expansion of the demons was immediately curbed.

Elsa, on the other hand, was entirely different. When she appeared here, she directly charged towards the strongest demon in front of her. At this time, the two most potent demons were naturally the beasts mutated by the Guardian Beasts of the Beast Clan.

These two demons were incredibly strong, but they didn’t struggle against Elsa for more than a few rounds before shattering under her feet. Large and small crystals stacked up to form a small mountain, Elsa lifted her hand, and two human-sized Crystal Cores flew out and were stored in her private space.

She didn’t consult or cooperate with anyone, and naturally, she wouldn’t share the spoils of war with anyone either.

Although this was the case, Elsa was not alone.

In fact, there were two Celestial Clan warriors beside Elsa, twin sisters who looked exactly alike. In their eyes, Elsa’s cool demeanor was incredibly attractive, and they voluntarily approached Elsa, asking to become her followers. Elsas replied with just three words: "Not needed."

Thus, these three words only solidified their determination to follow Elsa.

In their words, Princess Elsa was just too cool!

Truthfully, if it was simply a matter of combat power, the Beast Clan was no less powerful than these demons. But the crystal poison that these demons carried was something the Beast Clan had a hard time resisting. The Celestial Clan warriors also couldn’t fully resist the crystal poison, but the glow from their wings could completely kill the crystal poison in the air!

The battle went on for over ten days. Powerful Celestial Clan warriors teamed up with fierce Beast Clan warriors, forming a force powerful enough to crush any enemy. The Demon Tribe was completely forced back to the Interdimensional Pathway. Under the guidance of Princess Selena and the Beast Clan Shaman, all the Celestial Clan and Beast Clan on the scene performed a spell, pooling the strongest power from both races to forcibly close the Interdimensional Pathway.

This time, even Elsa, usually aloof, contributed her power.

The Beast Clan was a race that depended on the Celestial Clan for survival. Naturally, the Celestial Clan would come to help when the Beast Clan was in trouble. However, the Celestial Clan and Beast Clan were located on different planets, and there were no Teleportation Arrays on the Beast Clan’s planet. Despite the strong Celestial Clan rushing to assist, it drained a massive amount of energy.

To thank the Celestial Clan for their help, the Beast Clan decided to host a banquet for their distinguished guests who traveled from afar.

But Elsa had already quietly slipped away.

"Princess Selena, it seems like Princess Elsa doesn’t quite enjoy the bustling atmosphere," said the elder shaman sitting next to Selena with a smile.

"Yes, my sister just returned to the Heavenly Realm, and she isn’t quite used to it yet!" Selena responded with a smile.

"However, the strength of Princess Elsa is genuinely formidable. Our Guardian Beasts transformed into demons were slain with a mere three strikes from her! Without the help of two Princesses, our Beast Clan would truly be done for!"

"That’s just what we should do!" said Selena showing her approachable side.

The elder shaman nodded, then sighed, "Ah... our Beast Clan has always adhered to tradition, living in isolation, thinking that we could solve everything ourselves. We always disagreed with building a Teleportation Array on our planet, fearing it would disturb our lives and cause our traditions to disappear. But looking at it now, before our traditions die out, which could happen someday, our tribe might abruptly vanish. Princess Selena, tomorrow I will gather all the chiefs and shamans of all the tribes on our planet to discuss building a planetary teleportation array. I will do my best to persuade all of them to agree. It’s just that, our Beast Clan is not a wealthy race. If we do build a Teleportation Array, I’m afraid..."

Selena’s eyes lit up at this point, hearing the old shaman’s words, how could she not understand?

"Please rest assured. If we really start building the planetary Teleportation Array, our Celestial Clan will bear more than half of the resources. Of course, in the following period, someone else might come to negotiate with you, but the resources we will bear will definitely not be less than half!"

"Well, I would like to thank Princess Selena in advance!" The old shaman was so moved, tears streamed down his old face. "Let’s leave the Crystal Cores from our Guardian Beasts mutated into demons as a memento for Princess Elsa!"

The banquet was splendid, and the host and guests were greatly pleased.

After the banquet, Selena went alone to the top of a deserted mountain.

"That cunning old beast, clearly he wants to build the planetary teleportation array himself, yet he comes to me pleading poverty!? The main production site for the precious obsidian, a key component for building the teleportation array, is on their own planet! He thought he could get us Celestials to shoulder half the resources that easily? And the proposal of leaving the Crystal Core as a keepsake for Elsa! If he has the guts, let him try and snatch it! These sly Beastmen!"

After a low-voiced rant, Selena felt a bit better. Taking several deep breaths, she looked up at the two moons hanging in the distant sky. One red, the other blue, both as beautiful as precious gems. Though Selena had flown close to them, gazing at them from this distance with the backdrop of a star-filled sky provided a unique beauty.

She took a couple of steps forward, planning to sit on a particularly large stone jutting out from the cliff. However, as she grew closer, she saw that someone was already there!

Lo and behold, it was Elsa.

The present Elsa was leaning against a gigantic Crystal Core, gazing blankly at the two moons in the sky.

Selena’s heart skipped a beat. Elsa had obviously heard everything that she’d just ranted about. She wouldn’t tell the old Beastman shaman, would she? Being a Celestial herself, she wouldn’t—wait, could Elsa even be measured using common sense?

"Don’t worry, I won’t breathe a word about your rant." Elsa suddenly commented.

"..." Selena was taken aback. She didn’t know how to respond to an unmasked secret.

"Have a seat. We battle every day, rare to have a moment of rest." Elsa spoke again.

"I’m not like you, acting recklessly without considering the consequences." Selena retorted, glancing at the huge Crystal Core.

"If I estimate correctly, the consequences should be something I can bear." Elsa replied.

"But you are the only ’one’ who can bear them." Selena stressed on the word ’you’, it was clear that Elsa hadn’t considered anyone else.

"See, a father who wanted me dead since the day I was born and a sister who had taken away my Heart of Heavens, yet till now I haven’t retaliated against either of you. I’ve already been rather considerate." Elsa disagreed.

Once again, Selena was at a loss for words, as Elsa was merely stating facts. Knowing everything, yet Elsa has still remained silent and continued playing the part of a Celestial princess. If the truth were to spill, it would surely destabilise Heaven Realm and destroy the Celestial Clan’s reputation. Every race craved the resources of the Celestial Clan, and its stability is the key to maintaining their standing in Heaven Realm.

Suddenly, Selena’s chest began hurting intensely. Cold sweat quickly covered her back. She tried her best to hide her discomfort, but this pain was far beyond physical. It reached her soul, making her Light Wings dim.

Elsa, who had been watching her, suddenly reached out her hand. Selena thought Elsa was going to attack her and instinctively wanted to dodge, but Elsa’s hand was already at her chest.

Immediately, the pain ceased and a warm current spread across her body. Selena’s Light Wings fanned out behind her, brighter than ever before!

Elsa removed her hand, turned her head, and continued to look at the moon in the sky.

Just a moment ago, Selena had been relishing in an unprecedented tranquility. For the first time since that day, her chest didn’t hurt. Not only was there no pain, but she could feel a constant flow of power that she didn’t have to forcefully draw out.

"What...what did you do?" Selena asked incredulously.

"Nothing much, just made it behave." Elsa voiced casually.

"Why would you do that? Just now, you could have easily taken it back!" Selena started raising her voice in confusion.

"If I wanted to take it back, I wouldn’t need to wait for a chance. You’re really not my match. And let me tell you, you’re still no match for me, even now."

"Then why..."

"I need you to help me with something." Elsa cut her off.

"Help?" Selena’s brows furrowed in contemplation.

"Yes, help." Elsa confirmed seriously, then slowly voiced her request.

"You...you’ve done all this...for that?" Having heard Elsa’s request, Selena couldn’t help but widen her eyes in surprise. That was a trivial matter!

"Yes, just this matter, it is very important." Elsa confirmed.

"You’ve helped your enemy! The one who chopped your Light Wings off, who took the Heart of Heavens from you, all for this trivial matter?"

Elsa shook her head and said, "There are two things you’ve got wrong. First, you aren’t my enemy; second, this isn’t a trivial matter."

"Of course I’m your enemy! After everything I’ve done to you, don’t you harbor resentment towards me? Don’t you want to kill me personally in revenge? Don’t you want to be the Empress of the Celestials?" Selena was exasperated. Was Elsa just pretending to be this way? What was it, amnesty?

"Remember what I said when I returned to the Heaven Realm? I did hate you and I did obsess over killing you. However, now I’ve gained what’s most important to me and no longer live just to spite you. I’ve found someone else more deserving of my care." Elsa touched her own chest, her face displaying an intense look of happiness.

She’s gone insane!

Selena muttered to herself in her heart.(To be continued. If you like this work, please vote and donate on qidian.com. Your support gives me the greatest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian.com to read.)
