Chapter 396: Chapter 292: Leader Warrior

On this clear morning, the large-scale advance of the Dragon Knights of the White Dragon Empire marked the beginning of their war against the Green Dragon Empire. A thousand Dragon Knights marched in the sky, with eighty thousand infantry soldiers below advancing under the lead of the Earth Dragon Riders, capturing cities and territories. The Green Dragon’s borders were breached: the White Dragon Empire advanced thirty kilometers in a day, causing the deaths of two Dragon Knights and injuring forty-seven severely and countless others slightly. The Black Dragon Empire had lost one reinforcement rider, with thirteen severely injured and numerous minor injuries.

The battle report was hastily presented to the Green Dragon Emperor. The elderly emperor glanced at it and handed it to Tilian beside him, moving to the next report. Tilian skimmed through the report and sneered.

"Their deaths are inconsequential. Their corpses can still serve our kingdom!"

"Is that so? You should take a look at this report." The emperor handed over another paper. Tilian read it aloud: "Red Dragon Knights following in the rear are tasked with immediately burning the bodies on the battlefield..."

"The White Dragon Empire is not unprepared for you," sneered the old Emperor, adding "Come on, wise one, tell me how to wage this war. Your Black Dragon Empire has only sent us three hundred Dragon Knights. We have seven hundred. Even in the best-case scenario, we only have just over a thousand Dragon Knights. Yet, this time, the White Dragon Empire has sent fifteen hundred. You can’t truly believe that your Black Dragon soldiers are so good that one of them can defeat three of ours."

"Hmph, if anything, it’s your lack of training!" Tilian snapped.

"Yes, we were inadequately trained. If we lose, there is no need for training," said the elderly Emperor Jim.

"I will report to His Majesty the Emperor again for his decision. But before that, I suggest you make your Dragon Knights fight their battles. Don’t just run for your lives on the battlefield," suggested Tilian.

"If we can’t fight, can’t we run?" Jim chuckled.

Could it be that Tilian had no plan? Of course, he did. Being a savvy man, Tilian firmly believed that if he were in command, he would have used clever tactics to eliminate the Dragon Knights of the White Dragon Empire. But obviously, that sly Jim would never hand the command of the troops over to him.

In fact, these three hundred Black Dragon Empire’s Dragon Knights were already the largest force the Empire was capable of dispatching. The Black Dragon Empire was currently conducting a highly classified experiment, improving Dragon Breath Reincarnation by reducing its power yet increasing its stability. The Dragon Knights after Dragon Breath Reincarnation would not become stupid and would be less afraid of thunder.

The old version of Dragon Breath Reincarnation greatly enhanced the absolute strength of the Dragon Knight but reduced their intelligence. In the last battle against the White Dragon Empire, it turned out to be a disadvantage. Initially, the White Dragon Empire was caught off guard, but as the battle wore on, their Dragon Knights found a countermeasure, making it more difficult for the mutated Dragon Knights, who had undergone Dragon Breath Reincarnation, to gain further advantage.

If the current improvement of Dragon Breath Reincarnation succeeds, the strength of the Dragon Knights of the Black Dragon Empire will greatly increase! The three hundred Dragon Knights already left out of the experiment can be considered expendable to the Black Dragon Empire.

It can be said that as long as the experiment succeeds, the Black Dragon Empire genuinely would not care about the lives of their so-called allies. However, Long Yi must be transported back to the Black Dragon Empire. The considerable strength of Long Yi made the Black Dragon Emperor drool. Owning Long Yi is equivalent to owning Demon Abyss Dragon and a Complete Form Female Demon. The Demon Abyss Dragons, being from a different plane and being part of the Dragon Clan, have great powers. Having the support of the Demon Abyss Dragon would undoubtedly be a significant advantage in the war!

And then, there’s Little Zi.

The Black Dragon Empire has always been researching necromancy, and expects would surely recognize Little Zi as a super-complete Female Demon. The evolution level of a Female Demon is directly related to its strength. Although the Black Dragon Empire has studied necromancy for many years and had a batch of Complete Form Female Demons, they do not have this type of super-complete Female Demons.

This type of creature usually struggles to evolve to a super-complete form and could disappear for various reasons.

Obtaining Little Zi for detailed study would undoubtedly greatly assist the Black Dragon Empire in their research on necromancy.

This plan was drafted by Tilian himself. The Black Dragon Emperor attached great importance to this plan and gave great authority. If this plan fails to succeed, I’m afraid his position in front of the Black Dragon Emperor would be even more precarious.

Tilian thought about forcibly taking Long Yi away, but the cunning emperor had replaced all the guards watching over Long Yi with his personal guards, all foreigners were not allowed to approach. The three hundred Black Dragon Knights dispatched for reinforcements were all scattered and sent to the battlefield.

Heh, who would have thought that the old man is quite clever.

However, if you think I’m just a weak and helpless creature, then you are seriously mistaken.

Returning to his room, he opened his heavily guarded private box, which contained three brains stored in containers! Tilian unbuttoned his shirt, removed the brain originally in his chest, and placed it in the only available space. Then he carefully picked up one brain that looked different from the remaining four and placed it in the hollow of his chest.

Immediately, Tilian’s whole body convulsed and a cloud of black smoke rose from his body. The corrosive smoke destroyed his clothes, the carpet beside him, and the wooden table and chairs.

After a while, Tilian slowly straightened up. His clothes had disappeared, replaced by terrifying black scales. Opening his eyes, they had turned into the eyes of a Dragon.

"Huff... the Dragon Brain is really powerful indeed. Hehe, now, I possess Dragon’s Power! Long Yi, now let me show you a power that far surpasses humans!"

At this time, Long Yi was extremely bored, having been trapped there for several days already. He hadn’t eaten anything, but fortunately, there was no reincarnation. This situation isn’t a solution either. Perhaps, should he cause a scene? Long Yi was conflicted, he didn’t want his efforts so far to go in vain.

It should be the middle of the night. The guards had just changed shifts.

Unable to sleep, Long Yi was contemplating his next move when suddenly, the door was forced open. A black figure rushed in, emitting a black Dragon Breath in all directions, causing the guards who inhaled the Dragon Breath to dissolve into a puddle within seconds. Soldiers stationed at higher altitudes tried to shout out, but the black figure leaped high and tore them to pieces.

The whole process was clinical precision.

One of us?

That can’t be right, can it?

I was just pondering this when the cage began to slowly descend, and the figure in shadow gradually approached.

It revealed a face which looked surprisingly like that of the Dragon Clan.

Perhaps Long Yi wouldn’t recognize him, but seeing the brain exposed on his chest, Long Yi couldn’t help but laugh.

"Tilian, are you trying to be a leader now?"

Long Yi’s inexplicable comment didn’t invoke any further reaction from Tilian.

"Long Yi, are you jealous of my power?"

"Oh yes, I’m absolutely green with envy. If I suddenly became as ugly and smelly as you, I’d probably just bang my head against a wall and die."

"Hehe, foolish human. You just don’t get how magnificent I am. Just look, Long Yi! While you’re still struggling to harness the Dragon Power from your Mount Dragon, I have completely merged with a dragon! Now that you’ve lost your dragon, how much Fighting Aura do you have left? After days of torment, you only have your muscles left. Your Fighting Aura might be long gone, right?" Tilian laughed, revealing his sharp teeth and a hideous smile.

"If you dare, come inside. Don’t worry, even with just these muscles, I’m pretty sure I can beat you to death," Long Yi retorted, nonchalantly flexing his fists.

"Hehe, sounds good to me," Tilian replied. Suddenly, he opened his mouth and let out a Dragon Breath. The breath hit the top of the cage, immediately destroying the protective net around it and collapsing the rule-powered cage in an instant.

"Damn it!"

With a clang, the metal shards rained down on Long Yi. Luckily, his defensive strength was high enough to withstand the impact, otherwise he would have been seriously injured.

As he emerged from the pile of metal, Tilian didn’t launch any surprise attacks but watched Long Yi with a mocking smile.

"Since you’re not attacking, I guess we’ll get things started! Little Zi, Mental Impact!"

Little Zi immediately appeared and sent a Mental Impact hurtling towards Tilian. However, Tilian didn’t move. He instead retaliated with a Mental Impact of his own, equally powerful. The two forces collided in mid-air and cancelled each other out!

"Hehehe, hahaha! Long Yi, every move you make is in my control. I can even predict your next move! I have countermeasures for all of your attacks. Even your brute force, which you’re so proud of, is inferior to mine!"

As Tilian spoke, his body began to swell. His muscles trembling, he grew to a height that surpassed Long Yi’s!

Boom!

A punch was thrown. Little Zi hastily erected an ice wall, but it was shattered by the punch which then collided with Long Yi’s fist!

Thump!

Long Yi was sent flying, slamming into a wall with disbelief in his eyes.

"Hahahaha! See that! This is the power generated by the fusion of the Dragon Clan and human! And I am the first to perfectly harness this power! Those fools serving the Black Dragon Emperor can’t understand what real wisdom is. How can your stupid inventions even be considered wisdom?"

While speaking, Tilian walked towards Long Yi. Little Zi continued to launch Mental Impacts and frost spells, but they did not slow Tilian down. An all-out punch from Long Yi was dodged with ease by Tilian, who retaliated with a punch that sent Long Yi flying!

"I’d love to humiliate you a bit more before killing you, but you should count yourself lucky. You’re still useful to me, so you don’t have to die... yet. But you do have to come with me!"

As he spoke, Tilian waved his hands, casting a strange spell. Little Zi quickly retreated into Long Yi. The net that had previously surrounded Long Yi’s cage suddenly lifted, wrapping around him. Another spell created a barrier between Long Yi and the outside world.

"Hehe, you’re weak."

Tilian grabbed Long Yi and quickly left the scene. (To be continued. If you like this work, please come to qidian.com to vote for recommendation and monthly tickets. Your support is my biggest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian.com to read.)
