Ai Lin understood, the Dark Saintess obviously wanted to discuss something highly confidential. Long Yi’s words showed a great amount of trust in her, for which she was grateful.
"Well, straight to the point it is then. During the era of the Giants, they were passionate about exploring different planes and planets. The Plane of Crazy Demons was naturally one of them. The creatures in the Plane of Crazy Demons are indeed formidable, but they pale in comparison to the Giants. The real issue and hassle for the Giants was Crystal Poison. They believed that Crystal Poison was actually a type of extremely tiny micro-organism that lived in symbiosis, consuming the host’s body and energy, and forming a Crystal Core within the host. If the host was weak, it would die before the Crystal Core could form. If the host was strong enough, a new consciousness could emerge from the Crystal Core after its formation. This consciousness would try to kill the host’s consciousness and take over its actions. However, if the host was exceedingly powerful, the Crystal Core would choose to live in symbiosis, enhancing the host’s body to gain its protection."
As the Dark Saintess spoke, the golden sphere started to transform, turning into the shape of a Crystal Core and then into a host, demonstrating the concepts that the Dark Saintess was explaining.
"I recall that I was also attacked by a demon and infected with Crystal Poison when I was hunting demons, but it didn’t do me any significant harm." Ai Lin recalled.
That was when Ai Lin was hunting demons and got poisoned by Crystal Poison. Little Zi had provided her with a spell to detoxify herself, and she even acquired a Crystal Core gauntlet as a result.

At the same time, the Crystal Poison would gradually devour the living cells, replacing them with its own. There would be no pain during this stage, rather it would feel invigorating and an increase in strength. Depending on the strength of the host, this process could take a few days to a few years. Once the process finishes, the Crystal Poison will explode within a short time. The host would fully crystallize within five seconds - and that’s when the Crystal Core starts to form internally. The Crystal Core will continually attempt to eradicate the original consciousness of the host, which is the last chance the host gets. If the host’s consciousness is strong enough, they might pull through. But by then, it’s usually too late. Their own consciousness will have shattered to pieces, in other words, they’ve gone mad."
"So, that’s why it’s called the Plane of Crazy Demons ..." Ai Lin muttered as she pondered.

"Even the Giants couldn’t fully resist the encroachment of the Crystal Poison, so they invented a vaccine to fool the infection of the Crystal Poison. The success rate was 100%. The Giants also tested it on humans, and it worked on them too. However, manufacturing the vaccine is a troublesome process." The Dark Saintess revealed.
"How much trouble?" Long Yi inquired.
"First of all, you’ll need a live Greater Demon."
That will surely be trouble!
