Chapter 217: Chapter 157: How Do You Know It’s Not a Blessing_2
Yavenny smiled as she spoke.
"Hey, mentor Yavenny, are you really just an avatar that lives in my memory? Do you even need to breathe?" A desperate Long Yi quickly demonstrated intelligence beyond the ordinary.
"Cough, cough, don’t get hung up on the details, let’s get back to the main point. Your arm isn’t actually broken," Yavenny suddenly shifted to a quieter and more serious tone.
"Then what’s that on the ground? The tail I use to maintain my balance?" Long Yi asked, pointing at the ground with his left hand.
"No, no, it’s merely your avatar," Yavenny replied.
"Huh? I have an avatar now?" Long Yi was confused.
"Yes, the rule is too powerful, your body can’t handle it. So, I used your own power to create an avatar. This avatar is tightly bound with the rule, there won’t be any rejection. But since you have no control over avatars, I set your body and the avatar in a superimposed state. This way, your real arm is no longer in this space. This arm belongs to your avatar. You can use it normally, and it’s actually more robust than your original arm," Yavenny elaborated.
"Superimposed state? Like with quantum physics? Is my arm Schrödinger’s cat claw? And this is your idea of a more robust arm?" Long Yi pointed towards the severed arm on the floor.
"Absolutely more robust. It’s not broken, just a miscalculation on your part. Try summoning it back if you don’t believe me," Yavenny challenged.
"Come back?"
With just a thought, the arm on the ground immediately flew back to him, reattaching itself perfectly without a single gap. Long Yi flexed it a few times and found that, from a feel perspective, it was no different from a normal arm.
"Fall off?"
Clang!
The arm fell to the ground once again.
"Come back?"
Thump!
The arm was reattached once again.
"Haha, this is fun!"
Long Yi laughed cheekily, striking a pose.
"Rocket Fist!"
Long Yi launched a punch, and his fist flew out.
With a dull thump, his fist hit the wall, creating a dent.
"Come back!"
Thump!
The fist obediently flew back.
"Rocket Fist!"
Boom!
"Come back!"
Thump!
"This is so much fun!"
Long Yi had a blast.
"Of course, in order to create this avatar, I had to use a significant amount of your Giant power. Therefore, your Fighting Aura level has dropped back to ten. But I believe you, being as strong as you are, will catch up in no time, hahaha!" Yavenny timely threw in another shocking piece of news.
At this point, Long Yi was just about to catch the returning fist, but when hit with the shocking news, his hold on the situation faded immediately.
Thump!
The metallic fist landed solidly on Long Yi’s nose.
Long Yi could only feel tears forming in his eyes.
Why is my fate so bitter? It’s one thing not being able to excel at a fast pace like others, but at least I have the Giant bloodline as a consolation. Yet now, my hard-earned thirteen levels of Fighting Aura got dropped back to ten. What’s up with that?
You need to know that Long Yi’s Fighting Aura is calculated as four times the norm. This means that the so-called three levels he lost actually amount to twelve whole levels!
As for Long Yi’s peculiar display, mentor Ding Ge, who was in the surveillance room, had seen none of it. He had absolutely no idea what had transpired because, for some reason, he could neither hear nor see anything in the control room. Accompanied by his three research companions, he nervously circled the Array room that Long Yi was in. After quite a while, once everything inside had finally quieted down, Ding Ge cautiously opened the door. In front of him, a naked yet apparently healthy Long Yi stood with a dejected expression on his face. After a detailed interrogation, it was learned that Long Yi’s Fighting Aura had descended three levels, from the original thirteen to ten.
However, to mentor Ding Ge, this wasn’t an issue. After all, a third-year student with ten levels of Fighting Aura was quite impressive already. Moreover, he knew that Long Yi had ways to amplify his Fighting Aura over a short period of time.
After a series of checks, Ding Ge was certain that there was nothing seriously wrong with Long Yi. The original series of recovery plans were no longer necessary. As for that metallic right hand, even Ding Ge struggled to comprehend how it worked. This seemingly lifeless piece of metal moved at Long Yi’s command, yet Ding Ge had no idea what the metal was.
"It is Fine Gold," Long Yi said. Although he had never encountered Fine Gold, he just knew.
This declaration instantly made Ding Ge lose his cool.
Fine Gold was a precious heavy metal. Its inclusion in standard weaponry amplified both Fighting Aura and magic drastically. In comparison to Shadow Silver, which only amplified Fighting Aura, Fine Gold enhances both Fighting Aura and magic, while also being sturdier! It’s far more valuable than Shadow Silver. Currently, Long Yi’s entire arm had turned into Fine Gold. What does this mean?
"I can overthrow a kingdom!"
When mentor Ding Ge finally spat out these words through gnashed teeth, Long Yi’s spirit was suddenly uplifted!
