Chapter 211: Chapter 155: Am I Not?_2

"Buzz——"

The giant sword hummed deeply.

"You... are you responding to me?" The Emperor was taken aback.

"Buzz——"

Another deep hum followed.

"Good heavens! Giant Armament, can you understand me?" The Emperor was so excited he could hardly contain himself. He never knew that this sword could ever respond to him! According to secret records only available to virtuous emperors, this sword possesses its own will but had never responded to any emperor in the past. But now, it responded?

However, its response was only a simple hum. Perhaps it carried great meaning within that hum, but the Emperor failed to understand. Undeterred, he asked a series of questions, each response from the giant sword was a hum.

Finally, the giant sword seemed to show signs of irritation. When the Emperor posed another question, the sword responded with an unpleasant sound. It made the Emperor realize instantly: the sword wasn’t trying to communicate with him because he was irresistible, but because it had something to express.

Unfortunately, after a few hums, the Emperor was still at a loss. Finally, the giant sword seemed a bit exasperated. Dark golden arcs of lighting flickered, carving a human face onto the wall.

The sight of that face struck a chord with the Emperor’s understanding.

"Giant Armament, don’t tell me you... are hopeless at drawing!"

The face etched on the wall was so misshapen it was almost offensive. The Emperor couldn’t fathom how much wisdom it would take to decipher what the giant sword was trying to convey. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

Apparently, the giant sword too realized this, emitting an ambiguous hum before falling silent.

The Emperor speculated that the giant sword might be in a sour mood, so he didn’t rush. Instead, he scrutinized the face, comparing it with all people he could remember. Eventually, he decided to make an imprint of the drawing and study it later at his leisure.

Wait! Something seemed off!

A sudden insight flashed in the Emperor’s mind; he felt that something strange had just happened, but couldn’t exactly put his finger on it. What could it be?

"Giant Armament, I remember your arcs of lightning are usually white, how come they just turned dark gold?" The Emperor seized upon this vital clue.

Hearing the Emperor’s question, the giant sword immediately hummed with deep joy and didn’t stop!

"So, these dark gold arcs of lightning, they must be a clue, right?" asked the Emperor.

"Buzz——" Another joyous hum ensued.

When the Emperor left the library’s top floor, he felt sweat soaking his back. Although he had appeared calm, he understood the implications of the sword for humanity, the Dragon Clan, even the Giants; how could he not be nervous!

Dealing with a sword with its own consciousness is hard indeed!

The Emperor thought to himself, yet a smile spread across his face. For the first time in thousands of years, the sword had responded to someone!

Dark golden arcs of lightning.

But where could he find them?

No! No matter where he has to search, he must find them!

All night, Long Yi tossed and turned in bed, leading to inevitable insomnia. For someone like Long Yi, who was a zealous trainer, being deprived of sleep didn’t matter much. However, he had been performing mental activities throughout the night.

You must understand, this is something that a straightforward person like Long Yi isn’t adept at—mental activities!

So, when Long Yi appeared before Alli with baggy eyes, he startled Ai Lin.

"Brother Long, what happened to you?" Ai Lin thought Long Yi must have gotten into a fight and ended up beaten.

"Nothing, just pushed myself too hard last night." Long Yi felt a bit dizzy.

"Last night? Pushed too hard?" Ai Lin looked at Long Yi’s walking pace, and her fair face instantly reddened.

"Long, Long, Long, Brother Long, did you do...do...do...do something shameful last, last, last, last night?!"Ai Lin flailed her hands, her voice pitched several degrees higher, causing everyone in the cafeteria to turn towards Long Yi, and people began whispering among themselves.

"I wouldn’t dare; Elsa would slice me up." Long Yi replied languidly. "I was reading last night, and there was a problem that puzzled me. Turned out, I overestimated my problem-solving talent. I pondered it all night, and as a result, I couldn’t sleep."

Long Yi shoveled a spoonful of food into his mouth and explained reluctantly.

Listening to Long Yi’s words, Ai Lin instantly relaxed. She had total faith in Long Yi’s character. She knew that Long Yi was a person who never resorted to lying. Since Long Yi said so, that must be the case.

"Oh, what’s the problem? Tell me, I’ll help you solve it." Ai Lin was quite confident about her intelligence.

"It’s about..."

Just as Long Yi was about to speak, three men rushed over, standing beside the table, they pointed at Long Yi: "Scoundrel Long Yi! It’s not enough that you deceived Miss Ailin with your despicable tricks and made her sad; now, if you’re a man, then fight us! We, the Three Tigers of College, will surely teach you a lesson!"

The so-called Three Tigers of the College yelled boisterously, but Long Yi couldn’t even be bothered to look up. He simply raised his hand, and with a boom, a dark golden thunderbolt sprung from his palm, connecting the three of them and sending them flying.
