Chapter 190: Chapter 148: Sea Clan Arrival_2

"His pincers have the power to cut both a man and the Dragon-slaying Sword clean in half." Wesley exclaimed with wide eyes, enraptured.

"I can see that." Long Yi eyed the colossal pincers with some prickling sensation on his scalp.

Behind the Giant Crab warrior, six small luminescent jellyfish, as beautiful as flowers, floated out one after another. Then, the main character of the day made its entrance.

The Sea Emperor.

He was a sturdy, heroic middle-aged man. With short white hair, he wore a crown made of a sort of blue metal for which the material was unknown. His complexion was fair, donned in golden armor scales, and holding a pure, blue, transparent trident.

Oddly enough, he had legs.

"Look, that’s the mysterious magic of the Sea Clan that gives legless species legs," Wesley explained.

So, this is the Sea Emperor, huh? He doesn’t seem that special. He just looks like a perfectly average middle-aged man. Perhaps a bit fairer skin?

Behind the Sea Emperor, a small figure slowly swam out – Long Yi recognized her.

So she really is a princess!

Her sweet face, small body dressed in the uniform of the Dragon Knight Academy, and the large fishtail on the bottom half of her body. Yes, that girl was indeed Mina, the Mermaid Princess, whom Long Yi had met in the realm of the Dragon God!

This was Mina’s first time on land, the fearless Mina couldn’t help feeling shy under the gazes from the humans. She lowered her head, trying to find Long Yi, but there were too many people around and she didn’t know where to start. She just hoped the boring ceremony would end swiftly so she could find that Anonymous!

"I thought you mentioned there is magic? Why does that mermaid still have a fish tail on her bottom half?" Long Yi asked Wesley.

"Er... is it because she is too young? Perhaps she can’t use that kind of magic yet?" Wesley, not of the Sea Clan, could only guess.

"Tell me, are you guys not curious how she’s floating in the air?" The cook asked, looking at Mina in astonishment.

At this moment, Mina was hovering in mid-air. Her upper body was vertical, and her lower body was propelled by her large tail, which gave a gentle wave and pushed her body forward in the air. But this was in the atmosphere! There was no water here!

"Although I don’t know either, I’d bet it’s because of the little dragon beside her," Wesley pointed at Mina’s shoulder. Long Yi only then noticed what looked like a piece of jewellery resting on her shoulder was actually a dragon!

"Is that a Shrimp Dragon?" The cook didn’t seem to be an uncultured person.

"Huh? You actually know about the Shrimp Dragon?" Wesley was surprised; he had assumed the cook only knew about food.

"I didn’t either, but once, while eating shrimp, someone told me a story. An idiot picked a young Shrimp Dragon from the ocean thinking it was a shrimp and cooked it. The mother Shrimp Dragon from the sea found out, and the entire village disappeared overnight, leaving behind a lake filled with blood," the cook said.

"That’s terrifying..." Ai Lin hugged her shoulders, inching backwards, trying to keep distance from the cook.

"Wouldn’t it be better to call it a Lobster Dragon..." Long Yi mumbled, feeling as if he could already taste it.

Accompanying the little mermaid Mina were five members of the Mermaid Clan who were much older and walked on two legs. They must be the exchange students.

After the mermaids came the main event of the day.

It was heavy.

Very heavy.

The earth trembled. A massive figure blocked out the sun’s rays, its mouth full of sharp teeth glistening.

"Good heavens! Could this... this possibly be the Giant Whale Warrior?" a student stuttered, watching the near-ten-meter-tall figure carrying a massive anchor on his back; he felt his power of speech leaving him.

"Yes, that, that one is a Tiger Whale Warrior – almost ten meters tall and weighing nine tons. It’s the fiercest of all Giant Whale Warriors. Legend has it that to show their adulthood, they aim to fight with Sea Dragons. Those who survive can become a Tiger Whale Warrior." Wesley explained from nearby.

"Good heavens! Combating the Dragon Clan? On this earth, are there any warriors mightier than them?"

"They’re not the largest," Wesley continued.

"What? There are still bigger ones?" The previous student was stupefied.

"Yes, the Blue Whale Warrior. Thirty metres tall, with a body weight of one hundred and eighty tons. A single charge with their anchor can destroy two blocks of human territory. There’s even a tale of a Blue Whale Warrior strangling a Sea Dragon to death," Wesley informed.

"Good heavens... good heavens..." The student was at a loss for words, the sight of the enormous figure causing the ground to shake. He could feel his body bouncing along with the Whale Warrior’s steps. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

The Giant Whale Warrior looked dismissively at these tiny figures. These weak humans, whom he could easily squash- He had originally thought this task of escorting the Princess would allow him to meet some formidable opponents. But they all turned out to be weaklings, it was utterly boring.

With such thoughts, the corner of the Tiger Whale Warrior’s mouth curled up in a mocking smirk, revealing his teeth and, once again, sending the onlookers into a shivering fright.

Also, it was really dry here.

The two Tiger Whale Warriors lumbered along, the sight causing the Emperor to feel his heart pounding in his chest. The humans, who always thought they had the power to conquer everything, found the ocean far more mysterious than they had imagined. The Giant Crab Warriors they encountered before could hardly be wounded by ordinary soldiers in battle. And when it came to battling a Tiger Whale Warrior, it would already prove enormous bravery for normal people to stand in front of him without running.
