Chapter 1725: Chapter 1265: We Go Home_3

```
"Simu, like me, she who came from the Heavenly Kingdom also sought to create perfect life. The Giants she created held the same desire, to bring forth perfect beings. We endowed these lives with various abilities and talents, making them unique and extraordinarily powerful. Yet in the end, it was the Humans, who possessed almost no power, that achieved our goal. Strength breeds ambition; strength persuades life away from striving. It’s the weak who understand the value of survival, who make every second count. But when it comes down to it, Humanity has one thing that’s entirely different."
"Freedom."
"Simu gave the Giants a bit of freedom and power, and the Giants’ subsequent accomplishments quickly surpassed Simu. And while the Giants endowed humans with no power, they provided them with absolute freedom, and at this point, humans have surpassed all life in the universe in the realm of knowledge exploration."
"Without power, Humans can only push themselves to keep moving forward. And having freedom, they face no restraints. Now that I think about it, that restrictive device the Giants once placed around the Human Realm wasn’t really for protecting Humans, but more for fear that once Humans became too powerful, they could threaten the entire universe, right?"
Long Yi said with a smile.
Both sides fell silent, Long Yi and the Worm. Long Yi gazed at the Worm, and the Worm was observing Long Yi in its own way.
"Why are you telling me all this?" the Worm said.
"Because I want you to know that even creators are imperfect, and can easily be surpassed by their creations, or rather, from the Heavenly Kingdom to the Human Realm, not a single life is perfect. I didn’t win this battle because I’m more perfect, but because I was better prepared. And your loss in this battle has nothing to do with our creation." Long Yi said.
"Heh, that’s quite the baffling victory speech," said the Worm.
"This isn’t a victory speech," replied Long Yi.
"Then what is it? Another form of boasting?"
"An apology from me," Long Yi declared.
"I’m sorry."
The Worm was stunned. It had never imagined Long Yi would suddenly apologize to it.
"I’m sorry, I brought you into this world without your consent; I’m sorry, I gave you a mission you disliked without asking; and even more so, I’m sorry that I must end it all, which will mean your demise."
"So, I’m sorry."
The Worm said nothing.
Neither did Long Yi.
Far away, the gigantic body created by the Worm was slowly disintegrating, plummeting from the sky, buildings of the second layer of the Divine Realm crashing down. The foundation of the Divine Realm is Divine Power, and the disappearance of Divine Power entails the demise of the Divine Realm.
"End it all, at least, let the one reclaiming my life be my creator," said the Worm.
For some reason, Long Yi felt a sense of relief in its voice.
A flash of light, and in just an instant, the Gluttonous Snake completely decomposed the Worm.
In the distance, another nest was slowly approaching, falling into Long Yi’s hand.
Bang!
A nest shattered, and the Worms that parasitized within the dark matter dispersed along with it. Little Black immediately rushed over and devoured all the dark matter.
In his hand, Long Yi still held another nest, as the Gluttonous Snake roamed around Long Yi for a while before burrowing into it.
"Worm, you are the last intelligent life I have created. What you don’t know is that, in fact, the Gluttonous Snake is a variant of the Worm. But to prevent it from ending up like you, I didn’t endow it with any intelligence. All it has is the instinct to follow commands."
Long Yi put the nest into his personal space and did not rush to leave. Instead, he hovered mid-air, silently absorbing everything, reflecting on all that had happened along the way.
After a long while, he opened his eyes.
"Divine Power, activate."
Long Yi said.
As Divine Power came back into effect, the rules created by Long Yi were reasserted, and in an instant, all that had been destroyed was completely restored to its original state.
Except for the Worm.
The Worm had vanished completely. And without the Worm, the Divine Realm will continue to operate in its own way.
Long Yi rose slowly into the air. With a slight motion of his hand, a crack formed, and then a vast fleet was pulled out from the rift.
"You won’t get the secrets of us Giants! Worm! I’ll fight you to the end!" came a roar from afar, followed by a barrage of energy weapons rushing towards Long Yi, which inexplicably vanished into the air around him.
"Hey, my brothers, calm down, it’s me, Long Yi."
Long Yi raised his hands high, and after a moment of silence from the fleet, cheers erupted. But the first to rush out was not any of the Giants, it was Suolin.
"Long time no see, Suolin," Long Yi said with a smile.
"Really? I remember making your nose bleed just yesterday," Suolin said, laughing.
The ultimate goal of the Giants was to enter the Heavenly Kingdom, and for this they tried every means to open the gateway to the Heavenly Kingdom, but ultimately they never succeeded. Not only that, but they also faced the fierce attacks of the gods controlled by the Worm. It could be said that if the Worm had obtained technology from the Giants, things might not have been so simple.
