Chapter 168: Chapter 139 New Year, New Start

The demon realm, the Demon Palace.

Yavenny was lazily lying in Yamir’s arms, both of them naked, covered in fragrant sweat.

A droplet of red blood was suspended next to them, pulsating as if it had a life of its own, rhythmically glowing with a red light.

"The blood essence of the Giant is so potent..." murmured Yamir, her lips slightly parted. A faint red aura wafted from the drop of blood and entered her mouth.

"Hey sis, don’t be greedy, you’ve already absorbed it three times!" Yavenny giggled, also opening her mouth to inhale some of the red aura.

In no time, the girls’ bodies were tinged with a faint red glow.

"So strong... I... I can feel it again..." Yamir stole a kiss from Yavenny’s lips, giggling.

"All right, don’t use up the good stuff in one day! It was hard enough for me to get!" With a wave of her hand, Yamir made the red blood droplet disappear into her hand.

"Stingy."

Yamir pouted.

"Let’s get serious, sis. Whose side are you really on?"

Yavenny asked sternly.

"What do you mean by ’whose side’?" Yamir pretended to be clueless.

"Humans or Dragon Clan?" Yavenny asked.

"What difference does it make? Both are just lower species." Yamir flipped over, eyes fixed on the tiny purple crystals above her on the ceiling.

"The Outer Starry Sky Maze is intricate, but it shouldn’t be a problem for you. You must have seen it, the Prophecy Tablet inscribed with God’s prophecy: ’The dimensional passage will be destroyed, and Humans will rise.’" Yavenny pointed out.

"The prophecy of God—" Yamir sighed, "God left us millions of years ago. Who really cares about His prophecy?"

"Sis, please don’t make a grave mistake. Eight out of God’s ten prophecies have been fulfilled." Yavenny voiced her concern.

"Mistake?" Yamir chuckled, "I have you by my side, you wouldn’t let me make a mistake, would you? And how do you know there are ten prophecies?" Yamir questioned.

"Because I’ve seen them!" said Yavenny.

"No, you’re mistaken. There are only nine prophecies. Your assumption of ten is because the ninth prophecy has two entirely different outcomes!" Yamir corrected her.

"What?" Yavenny gasped, snapping upright.

"The ninth prophecy foresees the destruction of the dimensional passage and the rise of Humanity; but it also predicts the opening of the dimensional passage and the extinction of Humanity! When God wrote this prophecy, it seems that the future had become unclear. God saw two completely opposite futures! Even God was unable to see it clearly! That’s why He left us!" Yamir slowly sat up, looking at Yavenny earnestly.

"Are you out of your mind?! How dare you speculate about God! Wait, did you touch the Prophecy Tablet?" Yavenny was horrified.

"Indeed, I not only touched it, but I also went inside it and experienced God’s slight confusion." explained Yamir, "Otherwise, why would I have abandoned my position as Empress and wandered through various planes for over ten thousand years? Do you really think I was out sightseeing?"

"So, did you open the rift for the monsters?" Yavenny suddenly realized something.

"That’s right. I think those strong monsters have already noticed the abundant world of the Human Realm. That rift is probably impossible to heal now. The Demon Tribe will soon enlarge the rift, and eventually, the invasion by the Demon Tribe will be unavoidable!" said Yamir.

"Sis, this will incur divine punishment!" Yavenny grabbed Yamir’s shoulders, shaking her forcefully.

"Rest assured, I’ve got a talisman." Yamir lifted her hand, and a faint golden light pulsed in her palm. Its overwhelming aura was so intense that it even made Yavenny lose her breath! Yamir only showed it off for a second before putting it away again.

"Divine Power!" Yavenny covered her mouth, afraid that someone might hear her startled exclamation.

"Yes, Divine Power." Yamir repeated calmly, appearing completely undisturbed.

"Sis... you, you stole divine power!"

"Yes, I did steal divine power..."

"Are... are you trying to become a god?"

"No, of course not..."

"Then why?"

"I’m creating an opportunity. Once this opportunity arises, it will plunge the world into chaos and sweep across several planes. This could be an opportunity for our rise, or it could be our path to ruin. So, rather than waiting for the arrival of chaos, we might as well muddy these waters first!"

Listening to this, Yavenny’s shock gradually faded. She gently embraced Yamir, whispering softly,

"No matter what happens, sis, I’ll always be there for you, we will always be together. Forever."

"Happy New Year, my little sister."

"Happy New Year, my big sister."

The next day.

On the first day of the New Year, a grand military parade was held in the Imperial City. When the four Guardian Dragon Knights led the team of Dragon Riders flying across the sky, Long Yi, like many of Elsa’s crazy fans, was screaming and shouting, startling the people around who thought they had encountered a lunatic.

At that moment, Bajie looked at the Giant Dragons flying in the sky, envy clearly visible in his eyes.
