Chapter 1565: Chapter 1197 This is Everything_2

The Divinization program only told them that they could evolve and upgrade in such a way, but it didn’t mention what would happen after that.

The Darkness Saintess repositioned the core in the chest of the Golem, and almost simultaneously, her own body vanished without a trace.

"Just like before, my sisters!" the Darkness Saintess said. "Only now we are stronger!"

But I am close to death.

Mars thought to itself but dared not say it out loud. Even though Mars had entered full defense mode, the continuous impacts had shattered its entire planet to pieces. Not only the body of the planet itself, but even its most important core area had been severely damaged. Had it not just received tens of thousands of Divine Statuses, it would even have reason to believe it might have been shaken to death in the recent onslaught.

However, after enduring the onslaught, it was immediately rewarded; the Golems transferred tremendous Divine Power to it, aiding in its rapid recovery, while the Darkness Saintess told it: "Upgrade quickly, perhaps the great war is about to arrive."

After resting for a day, Long Yi immediately set off for the middle Plane, as he had some matters on which he needed to consult Simu.

This time, there were no side effects from the interplanar transfer, and Long Yi smoothly arrived within the middle Plane. He found the Genesis Artifact, only to see Simu sitting on a nearby Asteroid, lost in thought. Noticing Long Yi’s arrival, Simu waved at him from afar, signaling Long Yi to come over.

"Is your Divine Power restored?" Long Yi remembered that the last time she came, Simu seemed to have relinquished all her Divine Power. But at this moment, Simu’s Divine Power was immensely vigorous.

"Losing Divine Power is temporary, my power is imperative. It’s like breathing—as temporarily as it can be relinquished, the stronger my power becomes, the harder it will be to relinquish," Simu said.

"Why not try the power of the Heavenly Kingdom?" Long Yi asked with a smile.

"That’s impossible, I haven’t recovered to that extent," Simu said with a wry smile.

"Is this an admission?" Long Yi asked.

"I never denied it; it’s just that you never asked me," Simu said, looking down.

"Alright then, mind telling me about the Heavenly Kingdom?"

"The Heavenly Kingdom is an existence that’s very difficult to describe with words. Because language is narrow, is limited, but the Heavenly Kingdom is infinite. The Heavenly Kingdom is an omnipotent existence; to be born from within implies you can do anything at will. It transcends time, space, dimensions, everything."

"I feel like my brain isn’t functioning very well," Long Yi became confused.

"What do you think this is?" Simu asked with a smile, picking up a stone.

"A stone." Long Yi replied honestly.

"What about something smaller?"

"Calcium carbonate and iron."

"Even smaller?"

"Protons? Electrons? Quarks? Anyway, my definition is almost gone."

"So, it’s very hard for me to explain the Heavenly Kingdom to you," Simu continued, shaking her head.

"Then tell me what this is," Long Yi refused to give up.

"It’s difficult to define it with words, but if you insist on choosing a definition, you can call it ’everything’."

"Everything?"

"Yes, everything, all of it."

"It sounds like philosophy."

"Far beyond philosophy." Simu said with a smile, and then, she pinched a grain of sand and held it in front of Long Yi’s eyes: "You know, this universe, the three great planes, were actually created by me using this grain of sand. Back then, I really lacked creativity."

"You’ve scared my hair straight, I am a firm believer in the conservation of energy." Long Yi genuinely felt terrified.

"Energy must be conserved; the reason you are scared is simply because you do not know how much energy this grain of sand contains." Simu said.

"Enough to create three great planes?"

"More than enough!"

"Okay, let me calm down."

Long Yi felt he really needed to calm down; evidently, what Simu had just described had exceeded his cognitive realm, belonging to a higher domain of things.

"So, if that place is so magical, why didn’t you stay there and instead stirred up all this trouble?" Long Yi suddenly asked.

"Let me ask you, which social structure is more mysterious to you, the White Dragon Empire or an ant colony?" Simu counter-asked.

"The ant colony." Long Yi immediately answered. The social structure of the White Dragon Empire had been established over countless failures by numerous politicians; its every change occurred under the public eye and was recorded. But as for ant colonies, beyond knowing they communicate through pheromones, Long Yi knew nothing else.

"So, you’re saying that you no longer found joy in Heavenly Kingdom and hence created this ’ant colony’ to seek out fun?" Long Yi asked.

"You could say that." Simu replied, "Heavenly Kingdom signifies everything, and ’everything’ means there is no change. Because you already have everything, to me, Heavenly Kingdom is like a stagnant pool of water. It contains everything, but cannot prevent everything within it from rotting."

"That’s very philosophical." Long Yi said.

"It’s not philosophy, it’s helplessness. I suppose you can hardly understand, as an immortal being of Heavenly Kingdom, how helpless it feels to exist in such a place that transcends time and space with a concept of dimensions. Since my birth, I don’t even know how many years I’ve lived, up until I left Heavenly Kingdom and entered the Divine Realm, becoming a tangible god. For the first time, I learned about the concept of time and also the concept of space, and I was so ecstatic."

"The Golem told me that the Divine Realm was also created by Heavenly Kingdom, to allow gods to return to Heavenly Kingdom." Long Yi said.

"That is true, and yet not entirely." Simu replied.

"How so?"

"The Divine Realm was born from a lifeform like myself that had grown tired of Heavenly Kingdom; it created the Divine Realm and transformed itself into the Divine Realm. All of its energy changed into everything the Divine Realm is, and it established the rules there. In its eyes, Heavenly Kingdom, lacking rules due to its all-encompassing nature, had no surprises. But by establishing various rules—rules which might be full of loopholes—it allowed the lives born there to not have everything, but to have flaws. And because of these flaws, life forms therefore wish to compensate for their own deficiencies, giving them a purpose." Simu explained.

"I really don’t know whether to describe that being as tremendous or extraordinarily imaginative." Long Yi said.

"It doesn’t matter, because it no longer exists, having turned into everything that is the Divine Realm. And more beings from Heavenly Kingdom have continuously entered the Divine Realm, to undergo this unique experience. However, not all beings from Heavenly Kingdom can understand our feelings. They think that we, as beings from Heavenly Kingdom, should naturally have everything, embrace everything. To throw all of that away and step into deficiency is incorrect. So, they secretly created a special device."

"The Golem?"

"No, the divine decrees."

"Ah! Right!"

"The divine decrees, originating from Heavenly Kingdom, must be obeyed by all gods in the Divine Realm. Even former beings of Heavenly Kingdom are no exception. But even the divine decrees cannot fully limit the freedom of gods. Originally, Heavenly Kingdom created the divine decrees planning for all former beings of Heavenly Kingdom to wither away their curiosity about flaws after a series of trials and return to Heavenly Kingdom, but how could we possibly let them have their way? We found ways that neither violate the divine decrees nor require adherence to them. So, those angry beings of Heavenly Kingdom continued to create something new."

"The Golem."

As he spoke, Long Yi had already taken out the Golem.

Simu took the Golem, smiled, and said: "This nostalgically crude craftsmanship."
