Chapter 1502: Chapter 1171: Anti-God Power

The Eight Rings, overall, were not as vast as the Nine Rings, but that was a relative comparison; fundamentally, the Eight Rings were also immensely large. Finding a region not under the control of other deities was quite straightforward. It was a metal planet with no divine marks, and thus the Darkness Saintess chose it as their temporary refuge.

Upon entering the Eight Rings, the divine status of the Darkness deity group underwent significant enhancement. Accompanying the boost in divine status was an enhancement of their core as well.

Initially, the core’s ability to switch between its two forms wasn’t merely a physical transformation, but rather similar to Long Yi’s method, where the core and the body were two separate entities bound together by a unique connection. When one appeared, the other concealed itself in a special place.

However, concealment did not mean disappearance. In fact, the current Golems were simply a fusion of the core and the original large Golem form. The biological entities of the Darkness clan, on the other hand, were hidden in a different dimension. Now, the state of these Golems was quite special; both the biological and the mechanical parts possessed divine status and Divine Power. This double-stack of divine status lent them a divine prowess that far exceeded that of standard deities. More importantly, as the divine status of their true forms ascended, the core’s energy output also surged.

The cores utilized by the Golems were specially constructed by Giants. At first, even the Golems themselves believed they were solely crafted to confront the Dragon Clan. However, with the completion of their last evolution, they came to understand that their true enemy was not the Dragon Clan, but the Gods! Now, with the continuous ascent of their divine status, an obscure force was brewing within the core. Initially, this force merely erected Divine Text around the Golem bodies, rendering Divine Power attacks futile against them. But now, the Darkness Saintess discovered that this force seemed capable of active deployment!

It was unclear how to describe this force accurately. According to the core’s records, it was an energy type developed specifically to counter Divine Power, possessing immense lethality against most wielders of Divine Power. Moreover, this energy would intensify in tandem with the strength of the Darkness clan’s own Divine Power; in other words, this force was a transformation of Divine Power into ’Anti-God Power.’

And then, this force acquired a new name—Anti-God Power.

And soon, Anti-God Power found its first opportunity to be wielded in battle.

In this world, where battles raged endlessly, the basic rule of the game was the big fish eating the small fish. Thus, every time a new deity came to the Eight Rings, many deities swarmed there. Some had lost a portion of their divine status in battle and were in urgent need of replenishment. Others, due to insufficient strength, planned to bully the newcomers; a very few were so powerful that they sought to exploit the chaos, hoping to capture all the weak in one fell swoop.

In short, as Pinky the piglet put it, at least within the first three Divine Rings, everything here was like a savannah teeming with wild animals. Here, strength was the only way to make your point.

It was not uncommon for deities from the Nine Rings to enter the Eight Rings, but it was extremely rare for three hundred to appear and leave together. To many deities, these three hundred ’weaklings’ seemed utterly ripe for the picking. More and more deities shared this view, converging together like sharks drawn to the scent of blood.

"It’s like a plague of locusts," the Darkness Saintess said, her gaze piercing the thin atmosphere, as countless large and small deities swarmed like a horde of insects.

"Prepare for battle! Remember, we take no prisoners," commanded the Darkness Saintess.

Three hundred Golems immediately switched to battle mode. With a multitude of enemies to face, they transformed both arms into Light Cannon forms, and this time, they planned to test the application of Anti-God Power within the Light Cannons. A small portion of Anti-God Power was infused into the Light Cannons to observe its direct effect on the enemy.

"We’re entering firing range! Begin charging," ordered the Darkness Saintess.

Soon, the first rays of golden light surfaced in their field of vision. It was a sign that Divine Power had breached the warning lines set by the Golems.

"Fire at will!"

At the command, the Light Cannons unleashed a dense web of firepower across the sky.

Different from the Light Cannons catalyzed by Divine Power, the introduction of Anti-God Power changed their glow to a dark golden hue, with even some red within the gold. Theoretically, the power of these Light Cannons was described as ’satisfactory.’ After all, this was a world of Divine Power where all deities had a uniform understanding of Divine Power, and there should not be any overly suppressive phenomena; a clash of Divine Power was merely a comparison of whose intensity was a bit greater. But with the addition of Anti-God Power, everything changed drastically. As soon as it touched the opposing Divine Power, Anti-God Power not only rendered it ineffective but also reduced the enemy’s output of Divine Power instantly! Such properties enabled the three hundred Darkness deities to have the upper hand during battles!

Yet those invading deities seemed oblivious, charging forward at full strength, each racing as if lagging behind would mean losing out on capturing the new deities.

This took the Darkness Saintess by surprise; she had been concerned that once they encountered Anti-God Power, the enemy deities would be frightened away. It turned out, the deterrent power of Anti-God Power was not as strong as she had anticipated.
