Chapter 1500: Chapter 1170: Eight Rings_2

Hearing the grunt, all the Golems immediately snapped awake. They were originally half-biological, half-mechanical hybrids, with an inherently rational side to their nature. But upon sensing a threat, they immediately heightened their vigilance.

"Time’s almost up, let’s go!"

Three hundred Darkness Divine powered themselves with Divine Energy, charging toward the rift. The Divine Power spewing from the rift instantly became a force of suction, pulling them forward at high speed!

"Don’t hesitate after you arrive! Everyone you see is an enemy!" Having said this, the grunt disappeared, and the three hundred Darkness Divines almost simultaneously vanished into the rift.

Amidst the blur, the Darkness Saintess only felt a bone-chilling killing intent from behind her. Without even turning her head, her slender battle saber swept behind her. A cry of pain echoed as a lifeform of indistinct shape was cleaved into two.

This was a strange dimension. Below the feet of the Darkness Saintess was a silver disc with an immense radius spanning several kilometers, just hanging there in the cosmos. Many gods were guarding atop the disc. Whenever a beam of light rose from the disc, that god would ready themselves to strike down whoever appeared. When the light faded, it meant a god had been transferred from the Ninth Ring to the Eighth. However, many of them were prepared, engaging in battle with the gods guarding there as soon as they appeared.

The Golems did the same.

The Darkness Divine continued to appear and started to gather. Shortly after, the grunt also showed up, having narrowly dodged a fatal strike due to its small size, nearly rolling into the protection circle of the Golems.

Three hundred Golems, similar in strength, appeared almost simultaneously. In the blink of an eye, they all arrived, none of them injured.

Three hundred identically shaped goddesses gathered together, and not a single one was harmed by the ambush. This sight immediately alerted the gods who were guarding this place.

"Huffhuff, what do we do next?" asked the Darkness Saintess.

"Prepare to carve out a bloody path. They won’t let you leave," replied the grunt.

The surrounding gods began to gather in increasing numbers, and many more gods appeared out of thin air. Indeed, bullying newbies seemed to be quite popular. However, liking to bully newbies usually meant two things: one is weak; the other is cowardly.

Those with insufficient strength would only pick on weaker newcomers that had just arrived in the Eighth Ring, a predictable scenario. And others, though not weak, had too little courage to challenge stronger gods, so they bullied new arrivals here instead.

Regardless of the reason, at least for now, it seemed these gods had no intention of letting the Darkness Divine leave easily.

"Fortunately, we have no intention of leaving either," said the Darkness Saintess.

They had just arrived in the Eighth Ring and were completely in the dark about this reputedly stronger circle of deities, especially concerning the actual strength of these gods. Therefore, these current foes were quite suitable. Not only were they weak, but also cowardly—perfect for newcomers like themselves!

"Darkness Divine!" The Darkness Saintess cried out loud.

"Battle formation! Kill!"

The three hundred Golems charged out all at once. In a flash, not a single person remained around the pink little pig, Huffhuff, at the center.

"Wow, at least leave someone to protect me!" Huffhuff shouted, but its voice was completely drowned out by the thunderous collision of Divine Powers around it.

As soon as the combat began, the Darkness Saintess immediately felt that, unlike in the Eighth Ring, these enemies started to show some skill rather than just randomly bombarding with their Divine Power. If she were to compare it to what they were most familiar with in the Human Realm, taking Divine Power as equivalent to Mana, then these gods attacking them had just barely reached the level of a first-grader.

Yes, the first grade of elementary school—that was the Darkness Saintess’s assessment of them.

The Golems first launched a round of shelling, then immediately switched to battle sabers as they approached. The gods who had been guarding here had intended to take advantage of the new deities arriving in a state of panic. However, they hadn’t anticipated that these shiny, golden girls would be so powerful!

One after another, gods were cut down, their Divine Status absorbed, and the Golems grew increasingly valiant in battle!

Finally, a god on the periphery couldn’t help but cry out in shock and turned to rip through space to escape. Those gods who hadn’t yet engaged turned to flee, and even those still in battle lost their will to fight, attempting to disengage and run. How could the Golems let them escape so easily? This precious real combat training had to be fully utilized!

Thus, the hunters became the hunted, and the prey turned into the hunters. Soon enough, some gods escaped the confines of the silver disc and vanished into thin air. A Golem also neared the edge of the silver disc’s boundary when the little pig, Huffhuff, at the back, yelled, "Don’t leave! Come back!"

But it was too late. Below the feet of the Golem, the silver disc shrank rapidly, seeming to move away from her!

Snap!

A hand latched onto the ankle of the Golem and yanked downwards forcefully. The silver disc expanded in an instant, and she landed back on top of it.

The ambushers fled the scene, fully aware that continuing to fight against the Darkness Divine was a death sentence. Despite their reluctance, escaping was their only way out. After they left, those new deities who had just teleported in also departed. The Divine Realm was a place of constant strife and battle, especially against the powerful Darkness Divine. The new deities, who had long heard the renown of the Darkness Divine, would certainly not linger there.
