Chapter 1448: Chapter 1151: Easier Than Thought_2

The shield was designed to greatly reduce damage from energy-based attacks, but its side effect was that it made one more vulnerable to physical blows.

However, he believed that since Henki wielded a solid metal greatsword, he would inevitably be less agile than himself. Relying on his own nimble movements and technique, it was utterly impossible for Henki to even touch him.

That’s what he thought, anyway.

The warrior no longer wielded a single energy sword but two slightly shorter energy shortswords. Even energy swords weren’t weightless when swung, and the shorter they were, the quicker the speed. This time, the warrior decided to push his speed to the limit, intending to end the match with his most dazzling display of offensive might!

The warrior let out a loud cry and charged from mid-air towards Long Yi, who swung his metal greatsword to meet the attack. But the other fighter didn’t engage Long Yi head-on. As soon as his dual energy shortswords came close to touching Long Yi’s metal greatsword, they would immediately avoid contact. He knew all too well the sinister reputation of the metal sword; any energy blade clashing against it was bound to suffer a disadvantage. So he kept looking for opportunities, attempting to attack from angles that he never stopped coming from. Yet, before long, he discovered something unsettling—that Henki, despite his wide and seemingly clumsy movements, managed to protect his vitals perfectly, rendering many of the warrior’s attempts ultimately futile.

This left him feeling incredibly frustrated.

"Feels quite interesting," Long Yi suddenly spoke up.

"What?" The warrior paused, puzzled by Henki’s unexpected remark.

"I mean, the way you flit around in battle is amusing. I’d like to give it a try," Long Yi said, then shakily floated up himself. "It seems this is how you fly, but why is it not stable? Some energy not adjusted right? Oh, I see, huh, it seems quite simple."

With that, Long Yi actually took flight! Though he seemed unpractised, it made the warrior’s heart skip a beat.

Was this rookie just learning now?

"Then it goes like this," Long Yi said and grasped the greatsword with both hands. The once unified metal greatsword quickly split into two shortswords.

"Ah, indeed, much lighter and more agile." Weighing the two shortswords in his hands, Long Yi suddenly burst forward like a meteor slamming into his adversary.

"Damn it! A sneak attack?" The warrior roared, not daring to meet him head-on, but instead dodged to the side. At this moment, he was vulnerable to physical attacks, and if Long Yi hit him directly, his armor might just fall to pieces!

"How can you call it a sneak attack? I charged straight at you!" While Long Yi spoke, the two shortswords in his hands slashed towards the warrior like rip saws. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

Damn it, how could this guy be so fast! He should be less agile, carrying a metal weapon!

The warrior grew increasingly anxious, his sense of dread shadowing the fact that Long Yi’s strength was unreasonably overpowering, which simply should not be possible! He had no logical reason to be this powerful!

The more anxious he became, the less he managed to remain composed, while Long Yi’s speed only accelerated.

Finally, pushed into a corner, he decided to risk the loss of an arm, aiming to strike directly at Long Yi’s chest.

But what he hadn’t anticipated was that the loss would be more than just an arm.

Long Yi’s twin swords suddenly merged back into a greatsword, which cleaved through his dual energy shortswords, then his arm, and cut a massive gash in his chest armor, through which one could see his shocked eyes within!

"You’ve lost," Long Yi said with a smile.

Such speed was surely too swift!

Had there been any real fight between them at all? They had simply tussled for a moment, and the victor was already decided?

Group Leader Anzong had been closely watching Henki’s fight the whole time, and by now he was completely certain. This fighter named Henki was without a doubt a genius, and an extraordinarily unique one at that. He wasn’t adept with energy swords, but he excelled with a metal sword. Perhaps this was the reason he had been deemed a fool before. After all, metal weapons had been obsolete for hundreds of years, and to still use them now, if not foolish, then what?

But now, his metal weapon had demonstrated a might beyond that of energy weapons!

Incredible!

That was the immediate reaction of many present.

Because before this fight, hardly anyone knew of Henki. After all, Henki had only recently arrived from the new recruits camp to join that insignificant squad, not significant enough to attract any attention. And yet, an obscure person had emerged and directly defeated a player from another team!

Keep in mind, every person here was a top elite from their own team. If Henki could defeat his opponent in such an effortless manner, then maybe he could defeat everyone present in the same way!

Who was this Henki, and where had he come from?

Suddenly, everyone began to mobilize all the resources at their disposal to investigate Henki. The news quickly came together. After all, Henki had already caused a stir in the new recruits camp, and some families had begun to take notice due to La Sang’s involvement. Thus, all the necessary information was already practically at hand without the need for investigation.
