Chapter 1361: Chapter 1106: Who is so Kind-hearted
Long Yi did not envelop the entire planet in the time reversal area, as even he could not withstand it; he only enclosed the most densely packed portion of Eternal entities within this region.
A massive dial appeared beneath Long Yi’s feet, with countless gears meshing together. The enormous hands moved slowly but resolutely—this was the current flow of time. Then, a large hand descended from the sky, halting the progression of the hands, and the hand Long Yi blocked represented years.
On the Giant’s tablet, the number representing Long Yi’s lifespan abruptly stopped increasing and then began to drop like mad. Suolin, watching the descent of the number, was terrified. In a short while, the time lost was already enough for monkeys to evolve into humans!
However, that hand had only moved back by one notch!
One notch, signifying one year!
Long Yi couldn’t help frowning, clearly, this level of loss was unacceptable to him. But at that moment, the Divine Edict unexpectedly flew out of Long Yi’s private space, "Unauthorized life foundation modification detected, lock life foundation immediately?"
Long Yi didn’t understand, but he instinctively felt it couldn’t be anything bad.
"Yes!"
Long Yi chose yes, and almost simultaneously, the number representing his life stopped changing.
"Warning, illegal time procedure detected, this time procedure is not in compliance with the laws of space and time," the Divine Edict’s mask voiced again.
"Giant’s tablet, immediately check the current instructions of the Divine Edict!" Long Yi shouted.
Long Yi remembered that there had been no instructions regarding this in the main program of the Divine Edict, so why was it reacting to the time reversal?
"Three hidden subprograms discovered within the Divine Edict’s main program, new permissions acquired," displayed on the Giant’s tablet.
Long Yi checked and found that within the Divine Edict was a learning rule capable of autonomously learning new rules and magic—this was the first subprogram. The second subprogram was an analytical program that could match any magic and rules using the laws of the Heavenly Kingdom. As for the third subprogram, it was an editing program, capable of modifying the analyzed magic and rules! These three subprograms had been hidden in places unbeknownst to him, and even Long Yi had not discovered them, yet considering the item was from the Heavenly Kingdom and he wasn’t a programmer of the Heavenly Kingdom, it wasn’t strange he hadn’t noticed.
These three subprograms were interlinked and couldn’t be separated, but they could be controlled by Long Yi.
How would the Divine Edict interfere if left to its own devices? Long Yi gave it a command to interfere with the time reversal magic.
"Will now interfere with the illegal magic. The corrective actions to be taken are: One, forcibly close the magic and restore normal time; Two, replace the time carrier; Three, intervene in time laws and alter the time rules."
Long Yi was thoroughly confused, but he knew he couldn’t choose the first option.
What was a time carrier? Long Yi inquired of the Giant’s tablet, but the tablet had no information. When he asked Solon, Solon indicated the Giants had not yet studied that far.
Thus, the only option left was Three.
Intervene in time laws, modify time rules.
After Long Yi chose option Three, he felt all his Divine Power being mobilized within him, infused into the dial below. Then Long Yi’s thoughts once again entered that profound state, as if everything around him was in his grasp!
But in Suolin’s eyes, at that moment, Long Yi seemed more and more untouchable. And soon, Long Yi vanished from her sight!
Suolin was puzzled when a small hand rested on her shoulder—it was Simu’s hand.
"Long Yi is currently in an uncontrollable hyperdimensional state, which is why you can’t see him," said Simu.
As soon as Simu’s hand touched Suolin’s shoulder, she could see Long Yi again. However, in her eyes, Long Yi had completely changed. His pure white cloak flowed with golden Divine Text; his voracious serpent was coiled above his head forming a bright Halo; and most importantly, beneath the cloak was not Long Yi’s face, but the cosmos itself!
"Don’t be too nervous, it’s only temporary," said Simu.
At this moment, however, Long Yi was oblivious to any change in himself, as he was completely immersed in this sensation of control. He raised his hand, directing the hands himself, the rules ran inexplicably, and everything within range of the time reversal magic changed accordingly. Year by year retrogressed swiftly until, at a certain year, all the Eternal entities had disappeared.
Then Long Yi immediately began manipulating the hand representing the month, and after a certain month, the Eternal entities reappeared. He went on to adjust the hands representing days; hours; minutes; seconds.
Finally, within the range of the time reversal magic, an Array appeared, from which several Eternal entities poured out and accumulated there. At that moment, Long Yi, being in a state of Divinization, immediately traced back to the other end of that Array.
"End the magic, time return to course!"
Long Yi released his fingers from the hands, all hands instantly returned to normal, and the Eternal entities reverted back to their unfolded state. Long Yi exited the state of Divinization, released his Fine Gold surrogate, and restored normalcy. On the Giant’s tablet, the number representing his lifespan started to increase crazily again.
"How is it, do you detect any problems?" Suolin asked with concern.
"None, and there shouldn’t be," Long Yi said with a smile.
"Why?" Suolin remembered that the last time Long Yi activated time reversal, he was incredibly weakened.
"Because this time I didn’t actually reverse time itself; I only reverted the information from that time, without interfering with the material substance—it’s a method I discovered only after entering my divinized state. I just wanted to know who brought these things here, I didn’t need to return all the actual matter to that point in time. However, it used to be very difficult to achieve, but now it’s possible," Long Yi explained, smiling.
"That’s fantastic," Suolin gave a thumbs-up.
"So where to next?" Simu asked.
"Of course, let’s find out who was so kind as to dump all this stuff here."
Having obtained the information from the Teleportation Array, Long Yi promptly set one up. The good news was that the destination was still within this plane. As the Teleportation Array activated, Long Yi stepped straight through, followed closely by Simu and Suolin.
On the other side of the Teleportation Array, they arrived at the top of a mountain and saw a massive machine in the distance. Positioned in a basin, the machine’s base occupied the entire area like a colossal column stretching into the clouds. Periodically, a wave of energy emanated from the base of the machine, accelerated along the entire length of the column, and launched into the cosmos.
Long Yi, Simu, and Suolin flew towards it. This device’s structure didn’t resemble anything from the Giants, so it likely wasn’t created by the Giant race. In his divinized form, Long Yi didn’t detect any living beings nearby, but the machinery’s activity was clearly visible to him.
"I’ll go up and check it out," Suolin said.
Long Yi nodded and continued to circle the massive machine for inspection. There was no visible structure around that seemed to provide access for maintenance personnel. Was this device designed to operate and maintain itself automatically?
At that moment, Suolin sent a message through the contract, "There’s something on top; you’d better come up and take a look."
Immediately taking flight, Long Yi reached the top of the tall tower rapidly. The top of the tower was even beyond the atmosphere, surrounded by the blackness of space. Even Long Yi was stunned by what he saw upon arrival.
Atop the tower was a platform with a peculiar Array on it, within which was a chain. One end of the chain was fixed to the ground, while the other was firmly bound around the neck of a young girl.
The girl was barefoot with a white cloak, her hood already lowered. Her white face bore an innocuous smile, but her eyes twinkled with the stars of the universe.
"It seems you don’t need my help, eh, Simu?" the girl said.
"Sorry, who are you?" Simu asked, perplexed.
The little girl was taken aback, then burst into laughter, "Well, well, haha! I thought you had fully recovered and came to show off to me. Turns out you’re still just a Divine Envoy?"
"Does this mean you are a god?" Long Yi asked.
"Of course, I’m a god. Isn’t that obvious?" the girl glanced at Long Yi before scrutinizing him closely. "You seem to be a god too, but you and I are different. You’re not from the Divine Realm, are you?"
"I’m not a god; I’m a Giant," Long Yi stated.
"A Giant? Oh, my goodness, you mean you created those big guys who love causing trouble for you everywhere?" the girl exclaimed in surprise.
Just then, a surge of energy erupted from below and entered the Array, and the girl’s Divine Power became immediately apparent, resonating with the energy from below before converting into a wave that spread out in all directions.
Simu nodded while the little girl looked at Long Yi in astonishment, the cosmos in her eyes blazing brilliantly. After a long moment, she uttered, "That’s really something unheard of, a Tier 3 life form becoming a god, and a true god of the Trinity at that. This is simply not permitted by the sacred laws."
Shaking his head, Simu said, "In fact, he has already extracted the sacred laws. Not only that, he now controls them."
Long Yi took out the sacred laws from his personal space, and the little girl’s eyes widened instantly.
"Alert, identical information to the sacred laws detected. Would you like to exchange information?" asked the sacred laws of Long Yi.
"No," Long Yi declined. It was no joke; exchanging information haphazardly could be very dangerous. What if it no longer obeyed commands?
Surprised that Long Yi could command the sacred laws, the little girl watched as he put them away. Her previously slightly haughty expression softened significantly, "Tell me, how did you do it!"
The little girl’s expression was eager, but her body remained motionless, like a puppet’s.
"Perhaps, we could start with introductions?" Long Yi suggested with a smile. (To be continued. If you like this work, you’re welcome to vote for it on QiDian (qidian.com), your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please go to m.qidian.com to read.)
