Chapter 1334: 1080
To be honest, Mahal was truly perplexed. Why would this man named Long Yi give so many battle armors to him, to help him out in such a manner? What’s in it for him?
In fact, Long Yi’s thoughts were simple, no matter what world it’s in, where there is sunlight, there will inevitably be shadows. Right now, what the two great empires represent is sunlight, but shadows will always hide where the sunlight can’t reach. And to find the prey lurking in the shadows, one must enlist the help of those who already dwell within them.
And the pirates, they were Long Yi’s breakthrough. Maybe Long Yi still didn’t know what he might need the pirates for, but what he hoped was that when the time came for them to do something for him, his word would carry significant weight.
Departing from this planet, the next place Long Yi was headed, of course, were those cosmic stone mining planets. There, he cast a spell that would automatically fuse all the cosmic stone fragments within the planet together. And thanks to the cosmic stones’ own energy, the spell could maintain itself indefinitely, eventually fusing all the cosmic stones within the entire planet together.
Long Yi didn’t have any idea how many cosmic stones there might be inside a planet, but even a rough estimate shouldn’t exceed the amount from that lower plane. However, when Long Yi arrived at that planet and went underground to see it with his own eyes, the sight of the enormous black cosmic stone sphere still astonished him.
It was a giant sphere with a diameter of five kilometers, simply suspended there by the spell. It was larger than the cosmic stone Long Yi had found in the lower plane. Keep in mind that volume is calculated by the cube of the radius!
That such an astonishing amount of cosmic stone was hidden within this planet was completely unexpected to Long Yi. According to the data left on the Giant’s tablet, the reason these planets were like this was because the Giants were initially not proficient in using cosmic stones causing incomplete transformations, leaving a huge amount of cosmic stone fragments inside each planet. Moreover, these cosmic stone fragments would continually absorb and self-replicate over time, growing larger and larger.
And so, such a staggering cosmic stone was revealed before Long Yi’s eyes.
This cosmic stone had a truly astonishing mass – so enormous that Long Yi definitely couldn’t just take it away casually. In fact, Long Yi had to find some small asteroids around, stuffing them into his personal space, to replace the disappearance of the cosmic stone and minimize the mass change caused by the stone’s sudden removal.
And Long Yi had a newfound appreciation for the size of his personal space. Ever since he was little, he knew his personal space was huge, but the reality that it could be this immense was still something beyond his expectations.
Following the sequence of the previous spellcasting, Long Yi successively took away the cosmic stones from several planets. With core technology at his disposal, Long Yi mined at a pace far surpassing anyone else’s, thousands of times faster than manual mining.
With these cosmic stones, Long Yi felt more confident. After all, cosmic stones were the greatest achievements of the Giants, and with them, Long Yi could basically achieve anything he wanted by means of synthesis—Of course, using cosmic stones for synthesis was ultimately a bit too extravagant. But most importantly, Long Yi planned to create a powerful team.
Ultimately, the greatest enemy of this plane was still the Divine Worm. Long Yi didn’t know how many Divine Worms were still hidden here, but as far as he knew, the Divine Worms that had appeared had adapted extremely well to this plane. Using their cunning and intelligence, they had mastered astonishing techniques. At this point, the only ones who might stand a chance on this plane were the Giant Beasts of Isrile and the Nightmare Knights of Ruosha, but their numbers were limited. The Divine Worms had been at work on this plane for so long, who knew what other trump cards they had yet to reveal?
One after another, the cosmic stone mining planets were harvested by Long Yi, and he himself was smiling so wide he couldn’t close his mouth.
A few days had passed, and who knew how Mahal’s operations were going.
At this moment, Mahal had never felt such self-aggrandizement before because his power had never been so strong. With the aid of the battle armors, this ragtag group of pirates had suddenly transformed into absolute powerhouses, something he could never have imagined. With this power, Mahal began his forceful counter-offensive, striking at Yahola’s territories with the intelligence and inside information he had, and started to gradually erode the territory of the Black Sea Demon.
In response, Yahola revealed some of Mahal’s information through special channels to the ’Interstellar Wraith’ and ’Silent Flame’, expecting that the other two major pirate groups would try to reclaim their once-stolen ships at the sight of Mahal appearing with their fleet. But after encountering the heavily-armed warriors, they immediately realized that if someone dared to suddenly emerge so boldly, they certainly had their own confidence. Moreover, Mahal wasn’t provoking any other pirates, only claiming revenge against Yahola, so as other pirate groups, they were naturally happy to see the once unstoppable Black Sea Demon fall into internal chaos.
"These idiots, they’re utterly shortsighted!" Yahola was hoping that the other two major pirate groups would assist in the fight to annihilate Mahal altogether, but clearly, they just wanted to watch him be destroyed by Mahal!
In his rage, Yahola lashed out at his subordinates, even killing a pirate on the spot, then boarded a small high-speed spaceship and left the flagship.
This small ship was specially modified, equipped with a space teleportation device; aside from the basic shields, almost all of its energy was used to provide speed.
Yahola didn’t tell anyone where he was going, and of course, no one dared to ask him.
After several teleportations in succession, Yahola took a deep breath, and then, his eyes suddenly emitted a red glow.
Indeed, he had already been thoroughly parasitized by the Divine Worm.
Unlike other Divine Worms, a normal Divine Worm does not rush to fully parasitize the consciousness of a creature but prefers to seek out a more perfect host through its influence. However, it chose to fully parasitize from the start so that it could completely adapt to the rules and environment of this plane. But for this reason, its thought processes were more like a human’s, rather than a Divine Worm’s. Many events that occurred in this plane bore the traces of the Divine Worm, but it had never participated in them. Perhaps because of its complete parasitism, it had almost no desire for godhood; instead, dominating the entire plane and relishing the fear and respect of others became its favorite activity.
However, this time, Yahola truly felt a crisis. Because everything was too abnormal.
First, there was that Battle Armor. Without a doubt, despite its seemingly frail exterior, its core technology was surely that of the Giants. And judging by the level of its aging, it was definitely not an ancient artifact, but a product of modern times. A scientist capable of utilizing Giant technology to this extent? Yahola had never heard of such a person. After all, as a Divine Worm, he was very aware of the importance of scientific technology, which is why he had hoarded all kinds of technical talent from the beginning, sparing no expense on technology, and precisely because of this his Pirate Group had leaped from a group of average size to become the third-ranked Pirate Group in this plane.
The appearance of such a complex thing was already an incredible event, yet in such a short span of time, so many had suddenly emerged! It would be strange if there weren’t any issues with this.
And second, the Mini Cosmic Stone Light Cannon. Cosmic Stone Light Cannons were not exactly a novel technology in the middle planes. Any slightly reliable technician combined with a few competent Mages could modify a Cosmic Stone Light Cannon. But the issue was, miniaturizing these cannons was a problem that even the powerful Azure Sky Empire hadn’t been able to solve—not just miniaturizing, they couldn’t even manage to reduce its size to some small scale. Since the inception of the Cosmic Stone Light Cannon, its caliber had only reduced slightly from its original size.
Yet now, that person named Long Yi had appeared with two Mini Cosmic Stone Light Cannons that could be fired by hand!
Was this normal?
Completely abnormal!
Then there was Long Yi’s astonishing strength, which felt just like that of a Giant! So, although Yahola didn’t like his kind, the present crisis compelled him to seek their help.
With his innate Divine Worm abilities, Yahola easily located the hiding places of his kind. However, upon arriving, he discovered that here there were at least five Divine Worms. Among them, the most famous and also known to Yahola were Turun, who controlled the Balance Church, and Simu, who enjoyed creating another planet within someone else’s planet.
The unique vibrations of the Divine Worm guided him forward until he reached the conference room atop the golden battleship. There, Yahola met his other five companions, all of whom appeared in the guise of their hosts, in addition to Turun and Simu.
"I guess you’ve been severely bullied by Long Yi recently," Turun said with a smile.
"You know?" Yahola asked with a hostile gaze.
"Long Yi, the Pioneer of the Giants, possesses the Divine Power of the Trinity. He has just come here from the Lower Plane, where he defeated the Dragon Clan that one of our kind had awakened," Simu interjected.
"That explains it," Yahola thought, his reluctance giving way to acceptance. Yes, with just the attribute of a Giant, Yahola knew that those ragtag pirates didn’t stand a chance, not to mention that Long Yi was also a god of the Trinity!
"So, have you decided to rejoin us and strive for godhood, or do you plan to continue trying to conquer the entire plane?" Turun inquired, prompting laughter from the other four. Clearly, with Long Yi’s presence, Yahola stood no chance on his own.
"I’m here to seek your help," Yahola said.
"Heh heh, kid, I know you. From the beginning, you refused to respond to our vibrations and fully parasitized this host, claiming you didn’t want to be tainted with us. Now you’ve come to us begging for help? Hahaha! It’s the biggest joke ever!" (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote for it on Qidian (qidian.com).
