Chapter 133: Chapter 119: Principle of Equivalent Exchange

"Little Zi, check me, have I been hypnotized?" Long Yi suddenly asked.

"You’re definitely hypnotized! And by big breasts, at that!" Little Zi pouted as she spoke, but she still conducted a thorough check diligently. Surprisingly, there was indeed a presence of psychic control in the vicinity, but it had not affected Long Yi in any way.

"Stop joking, this is serious." Long Yi said sternly.

"Serious?" As soon as Ai Lin heard Long Yi mention something serious, she immediately understood that whatever had caught his interest must not have been a busty woman. Because neither Elsa nor Ai Lin were well-endowed, and the girls around Long Yi recently were flat-chested, just like Little Zi.

Brother Long must like flat-chested girls!

Ai Lin thought affirmatively.

Since what attracted Long Yi wasn’t a busty Water Spirit, then it could only be that white cylinder.

"If I said that belonged to me, would you believe it?" Long Yi pointed to the white cylinder that the Water Spirits were using as a pole and said.

"I believe!" Ai Lin immediately said, believing whatever Long Yi said.

Damn, how did this thing end up here?

Long Yi felt he was on the verge of losing his mind.

"Are these Water Spirits friendly to humans?" Long Yi asked the two girls.

"You can’t really say they’re friendly or unfriendly. They look at us just as we look at pets, we’re basically different species." Ai Lin said.

"So, how can I communicate with them effectively?" Long Yi was somewhat troubled. If there’s something to ask, you have to communicate. But how could you communicate with a group of beings of a completely different species?

"Although I’m not very familiar with Water Spirits, as far as I know, they are a very curious kind of beings. They like knowledge, they like novel things, and the stranger something is, the more they’re attracted to it." Little Zi said.

New? Strange? Long Yi was completely baffled, as a result, he decided to ask.

He went into the ’wolf pack’, the wolves were still whistling, looking at the voluptuous Water Spirits dancing ’missile pole dance’.

"Ahem, excuse me, brother." Long Yi tapped a man’s shoulder.

"Don’t disturb me, I’m busy!" The man ignored him completely.

"Excuse me, sir?" Long Yi tried tapping again.

"What do you... wait, Long Yi?" The man turned around and immediately recognized Long Yi.

This man was named Anoff, a third-year at the Dragon Knight Academy. His performance was average and his family wasn’t prominent at all. He was just there to have some fun. The Water Spirits’ hot dance at Silver Dragon Lake was something he had heard of through rumors among other lecherous individuals and he had yearned to see it for a long time. This ’long holiday’ was mainly used by him to see this for himself.

Being a third-year, he naturally knew Long Yi. Knowing Long Yi, he certainly couldn’t pretend to ignore him. He was sure that he was nowhere near Long Yi in terms of strength, so it was better not to stir up trouble.

"Yes, I’m Long Yi, and you are..."

"My name is Anoff."

"Brother Anoff, I would like to ask if these Water Spirits dance here every day?" Long Yi asked this because he hoped to come here when no one was around and discuss the crystal. If the Water Spirits danced here every day, then he could just wait here for a while. Or just...bash these people away.

"How is that possible! The Water Spirits dancing must be an exchange!"

Anoff got interested as soon as he heard Long Yi asking about this.

Apparently, the Water Spirits of Silver Dragon Lake had existed for a very long time. As water elemental beings, they could naturally go anywhere through water flow. But they were still curious about places without water. So, they hoped that every person passing by Silver Dragon Lake would tell them stories about the land. If they liked the stories, they would present the Water Spirits’ dance in return.

Don’t think it’s just an ordinary dance!

The dance of the Water Spirits has purification and healing powers! During the duration of the dance, any ally would receive continuous healing and purification effects!

If the Water Spirits are very pleased with your story, they would present the Dance of Encouragement, which would cause an explosion of Dragon Fighting Energy for three days, and any Fighting Aura’s power would be doubled.

If the crystals are extremely pleased with your story, they would dance the Dance of Battle for you. In addition to the previous Dragon Fighting Energy explosion, it would give you a certain chance to resist one energy attack from your opponent within those three days!

Sounds good.

However, these Water Spirits had lived for a very long time, long before humans even existed, and even if humans were to be extinct, the Water Spirits would continue to exist. Things that Water Spirits find interesting in this world are getting less and less. Now, most of the time, the dance of the Water Spirits is simply a formality, no longer having any effect.

But for the lechers, they did not need any effect.

Upon receiving this information, Long Yi realized what he had to do.

If it was about knowledge, Long Yi did indeed possess some that he suspected people of this world would not grasp in a thousand years. But could such knowledge truly interest the Water Spirits?

Instantly, an idea related to water popped into Long Yi’s head.

Watch this, little watery ladies, I can teach you how to use deuterium and tritium, the hydrogen isotopes present within water, to create a fusion toy!

Bang!

Definitely not!

Long Yi scratched his head.

Returning to the shore, Long Yi was at his wit’s end, wondering what systematic knowledge he could share with them. Even the knowledge possessed by Ai Lin and Little Zi might not suffice to sate the curiosity of Water Spirits, beings whose lifespan was as long as the earth and sky.

The darkness crept in, draining the ruffians of their hormones and knowledge reserves. The tents by the bank dimmed after a brief surge of light, and the sounds of panting filled the air.

Long Yi could not miss this opportunity, so he brought Ai Lin and Little Zi to the small island in the center of the lake, leaving Bajie snoring loudly in the tent.

As soon as Long Yi appeared, a Water Spirit emerged from the water nearby.

"Man, are you here to witness the Dance of Water?" the Water Spirit asked.

"No, actually, I am here to find a Water Spirit," Long Yi replied.

"Find a Water Spirit?" The water spirit paused, seemingly confused.

"Yes, I am looking for a Water Spirit, specifically the one who was dancing around a white rod today," Long Yi explained.

"That Water Spirit...ha...heehee...heeheehee..." The Water Spirit began to laugh, sending droplets of water splashing everywhere.

"Brother Long..." Ai Lin’s face turned red as she tugged at Long Yi’s sleeve.

"What?" Long Yi was clueless.

"In this not-so vast body of water, there could only be one Water Spirit. The ones you saw should all have been the same entity," Ai Lin whispered this insight to him.

Hearing this piece of information, even the thick-skinned Long Yi started to feel a flush creeping up his cheeks. He had been offering to share his knowledge without even understanding the basic attributes of the Water Spirits.

"That’s okay, even we Water Spirits don’t know everything either. May I know why you seek me?" asked the Water Spirit. Water Spirits were known for their good temper. No matter how rude or respectful people were to them, they seldom change their demeanor. Perhaps they’ve tempered their temperament after living for such a long time.

"Actually, it’s nothing major. I just want to take a look at that white rod," Long Yi avoided saying that it was an air-to-air missile, as this term might pique the Water Spirit’s interest even further.

"This?" The Water Spirit raised her hand to show the item priced at four hundred thousand US dollars again. Staring at the grotesque mouth image that had been scraped off quite a bit, Long Yi suddenly felt a tinge of sadness.

"Do you recognize this?" the Water Spirit quickly noticed Long Yi’s change of expression.

"If I told you this thing was mine, would you believe me?" Long Yi asked the question again.

"I would," the Water Spirit replied.

"What? Why would you believe that..." Long Yi was taken aback. This Water Spirit was indeed magical. She was so ready to accept that the item was his just because he said so?

"Because when you arrived in the afternoon, everyone was glancing at my chest and bottom while only you were solely focused on this item. Just now, tears were welling up in your eyes upon seeing that peculiar mouth figure. This thing either belongs to you or means a great deal to you. Does that not make sense?" the Water Spirit analyzed amply.

How clever! How much I adore clever people!

Long Yi felt that his missile, which originally belonged to him, was gradually coming back to him.

"So then...."

"No," the Water Spirit preempted him with her answer before he could finish speaking.

"Why?" It was clear to Long Yi that by saying "no", the Water Spirit meant that she wouldn’t give back his item. So, he ditched the foregone question and asked directly.

"You have to tell me what this is first," the Water Spirit’s request was simple, quenching her curiosity.

Long Yi weighed in his mind and concluded that apart from the Elves whose measure he couldn’t fathom, pretty much no one else in this world would know what this item was. So, there was no harm in telling her.

"This is an air-to-air missile," revealed Long Yi.
