Chapter 1287: Chapter 1035: The Descent of the Heavenly Kingdom

Selena, although stripped of her authority over the Teleportation Gate, did not mean that she was rendered voiceless in the matter. Having overseen the gate for a long period, she was extremely familiar with the relevant personnel, which naturally included the person responsible for maintaining the Teleportation Gate.

In theory, apart from those with authority, the ones responsible for maintaining the Teleportation Gate also had the capability to open it.

And so, that person was now staring at the two Princesses with a bitter smile on his face.

"Princess Selena, Princess Elsa, it’s not that I’m not cooperative, but I’m just a technician who needs to make a living. If His Majesty the Emperor finds out I’ve opened the Teleportation Gate without permission, my head will roll!" the person in charge spoke with a look of helplessness.

"First, the Emperor will not find out," Elsa began. "Second, I would never let you take this risk for no reason." As she spoke, Elsa took out a transparent chip from her private space. Upon glimpsing the chip, the person in charge’s eyes lit up. Being a member of the upper echelons, he was certainly familiar with this chip. It was a special chip extremely rare in the gambling cities, a gift from the casino officials. With this chip, you could play in the casino for three days. During those three days, all the money lost in single-player games would be covered by the casino, and any earnings could be taken away freely. To any gambler, it was akin to a gift from heaven.

And this person in charge happened to be a gambler.

"This... Princess Elsa, you’re really putting me in a tight spot... after all, activating the Teleportation Gate once will certainly make use of a mighty force, leaving behind traces," he said, clearly tempted but still hesitant.

"Don’t worry about that. I’ll figure something out with the energy," Elsa assured.

When Elsa said this, Selena was extremely surprised by her younger sister. After all, the energy required to activate a Plane Teleportation Gate was enormous, and it shouldn’t be possible to do so alone.

"If that’s the case..." The person in charge steeled his resolve and tightly gripped the chip in his hand.

The journey to Giant Star had a separate Teleportation Gate which usually went unguarded. After all, such gates, even when placed in front of someone, are difficult to damage, let alone use.

After making some adjustments, the person in charge used his maintenance authority to activate the Teleportation Gate. Elsa then stepped upon it and said to Selena and the person in charge, "Stand back, it might be a bit uncomfortable soon."

Selena hastily retreated, and the person in charge moreover ran to the entrance to watch from a safe distance.

Whirr!

Elsa’s body instantly transformed into a semi-energetic state, an appearance she had never shown to anyone before. This was the power of true Ghost Spirits, the strength she possessed from merging with countless Ghost Spirits.

The surging energy even caused a spatial tremor, pulsating as it was channeled into the Teleportation Gate, with Elsa watching as the gate’s energy slowly filled up.

By now, Selena was completely dumbfounded, filling up the entire Plane Teleportation Gate’s energy with the power of a single person had been, until now, unthinkable; yet, it was happening right before her eyes! It was inconceivable! She knew Elsa was strong, but to such an extent, wasn’t this just outrageous?

As the Teleportation Gate’s energy filled up, Elsa grinned and waved at Selena and the person in charge before disappearing in a flash of light. The Plane Teleportation Gate quickly returned to its normal state, as if nothing had happened, with only the vibration of energy lingering in the air.

Selena promptly took action, casting magic to absorb all the energy in the air. She did her best to make it look as if nothing had happened, then said to the person in charge, "Nothing happened, right?"

At that moment, the person in charge was caressing the special chip in his hand, and with a smiling face, he said, "What are you talking about, Princess? I’ve been at home doing equipment maintenance all day, I don’t know anything."

Not long after Selena and the others had left, the Emperor also hurriedly arrived at the scene. Upon his arrival, he looked puzzled. He had clearly felt a planar transfer, but there was no trace of it here. He checked the power supply device, and found the energy inside was still full, with no indication of any energy output. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

Could it have been an illusion?

The Emperor grew more puzzled, but after several inspections and finding no useful information, he eventually had to leave.

At this moment, Elsa was standing at the outskirts of the battlefield. The battle unfolding before her was fierce, as warriors from both sides fought desperately, and farther away, a spatial rift suddenly closed.

Then, the fighting abruptly came to a halt. Warriors, who had been fighting to the death, rapidly retreated from each other, with no one even willing to land a final blow on an enemy close to death, allowing him to be rescued.

So this is what the Eternal Battlefield is like?

Elsa’s unexpected arrival went unnoticed because on this battlefield, it was common for people to appear and disappear without causing a stir.

However, someone did recognize Elsa.

"Princess Elsa, what brings you here?"

Elsa turned to see a familiar face.

"Tilian? You’re still here?" Elsa was pleasantly surprised to encounter someone she knew upon her arrival.

"The knowledge from descending into the Heavenly Kingdom fascinates me, and the simple life here is quite fulfilling. Moreover, being an Undead, I can be of great use here, and the Commander and comrades here quite like me," Tilian said.

"Should I offer congratulations then?" Elsa smiled.

"Haha, come with me, I’m almost a local here now," Tilian said as he cast a magic spell, creating a Teleportation Gate. The two stepped through the gate and instantly appeared in front of a restaurant. The restaurant was quite large, a six-story building with a huge stone stele in front. Made of an unknown material, the stele was covered in runes that lit up intermittently as people teleported to the vicinity. It seemed to be a designated teleportation binding site.

"You picked an off time to visit; the window for this opening has just passed, and it’ll be several days before the next battle begins," Tilian said as he entered the restaurant with Elsa.

"No problem, I have plenty of time," Elsa said.

"Haha, have you ever heard of the theory of unequal planar time?" Tilian asked as he found a table and sat down with Elsa.

"What’s that?" Elsa naturally had no knowledge of it.

"It’s knowledge I obtained from the Heavenly Kingdom. The Giants believe that the flow of time on each plane is completely different. The higher the plane, the slower time flows," Tilian explained.

"What does that mean?" Elsa asked, puzzled.

"It means that if you spend three days here, then in the Heaven Realm, maybe ten days have already passed," Tilian said.

"That’s... that’s bad," Elsa said, her brow furrowing.

"But don’t worry, because when you return to the Heaven Realm, you will go back to your own timeline. So, you will also return to a Heaven Realm where only three days have passed," Tilian assured her.

"Do you mean to say that every time we perform dimensional teleportation, we are actually traveling through time?" Elsa gleaned an astonishing piece of information from Tilian’s words.

"That is my deduction based on this knowledge," Tilian admitted.

"Alright, I can discuss this in detail when Brother Long finds me, considering I don’t quite understand this myself," Elsa decisively gave up on trying to comprehend the subject. Tilian couldn’t help but smile; he had thought Elsa would be shocked or even anxious, but clearly, she was not the type to fret over such things.

"So, what brings you here this time?" Tilian inquired while ordering a few dishes.

"I intend to uncover the origins of this thing," Elsa said, not physically revealing the tetrahedron but instead transferring its information to Tilian through a mental magic spell.

Seeing the tetrahedron in his own consciousness, Tilian was startled by Elsa’s incredible strength. As an Undead with a body personally reconstructed by the Eternal Emperor Rongka, his mental realm was well-protected. Yet Elsa had easily projected her consciousness into his mental realm, indicating she had surpassed his level by an indeterminate magnitude.

"This object is known as Eternal by the Giants. It is a very special energy lattice. The Giants discovered a method to sustain energy nearly indefinitely through it," Tilian explained.

"Is this also knowledge from the Heavenly Kingdom?" Elsa asked.

"Yes, as it happens, it’s part of the last knowledge I obtained," Tilian admitted.

"Then, have you ever heard of a Divine Envoy?" Elsa continued to inquire.

"Divine Envoy? No, I have never heard of it," Tilian confirmed.

"Brother Long freed a Divine Envoy with his own hands in the Human Realm, right from this very Eternal. She claimed to be a part of God, who had split themselves into 99,999 parts, each scattered across every corner of the multiverse," Elsa explained.

On hearing Elsa’s words, Tilian’s brow immediately furrowed. He was unaware of this knowledge and had not heard anything similar from the Eternal Emperor Rongka. Perhaps Rongka knew of it but had had no occasion to mention it.

"I think it’s time for me to leave this place," Tilian said.

"To return to Hell?" Elsa queried.

"Yes, if there is a scholar to be found in this multiverse, then the Eternal Emperor Rongka would surely rank among the foremost. I need to consult him about this matter," Tilian stated.

"Makes sense. But before you leave, share the knowledge you’ve gained here with me," Elsa requested.

Tilian smiled, said nothing; a third person aware of what was happening here would probably go mad. Here, knowledge was of utmost importance. Every warrior fought, even lost their lives for this advanced knowledge, and Elsa was simply asking Tilian for all the knowledge he had acquired.

But Tilian didn’t feel there was anything improper about it. He knew very well that this knowledge practically belonged to Long Yi and thus, naturally to Elsa. Even if he hoarded it, once Long Yi took possession of this place, all knowledge would become accessible to her.

Using magic, Tilian copied the knowledge he had acquired and shared it with Elsa.

And just then, there was a loud shout from nearby.

"Wait! What are you doing?" (To be continued. If you like this work, please vote for us at qidian.com. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian.com to read.)
