Chapter 1274: Chapter 1022 Parasite
```
Boom!
The Dimensional Slash collapsed thunderously. And in that instant, Isrile had already circled to the rear of the Core Group. The remaining four First-generation Apostles looked at Isrile with panic-stricken faces, their eyes filled with confusion.
"Those people are also being controlled! Perhaps there’s no such thing as the First-generation Apostles at all!" Isrile said.
"I think so too, and you better come back quickly. Our real enemy is here," Ruosha said.
Real enemy? Hearing Ruosha say this, Isrile immediately raised her hand, capturing the remaining four with magic, and returned to Ruosha’s side.
Those four had no idea what had happened. When Isrile checked them on the way back, it was clear they had always been controlled and had no memory of past events.
Isrile casually threw the four out of the exit and joined Ruosha in facing their enemy.
In front of them, the massive core of the Star Devourers deformed, writhed, and initially split into countless tiny tetrahedrons. Then it transformed directly into a gigantic human form!
"Submit at my feet!" the human form bellowed, charging forward with Kela Particles surging around its body, causing the space around it to tremble.
"You must still be dreaming, dumbass!" Ruosha waved her hand, releasing from the two Star Devourer cores lethal spatial fluctuations that collided with the human form. The figure, which had been charging towards them, was abruptly blown apart. At that moment, Isrile noticed a Crystal Stone at the center of the giant’s form, and inside the Crystal, there were red fluctuations!
What was that?
Isrile immediately shared her new discovery with Ruosha, who naturally saw it as well.
Such a thing should not be present inside the body of a Star Devourer because their bodies were composed of these tetrahedrons filled with Kela Particle suspensions; such a bizarre structure should be impossible.
The countless tetrahedrons immediately flew towards the crystal, clearly indicating its vital importance!
"Indeed, the so-called First-generation Apostles are entirely fake! What exactly are you?" Isrile yelled.
The reassembled giant figure let out a thunderous laugh, "Interesting children, your curiosity surprises me. Why not tell me first, from where did you obtain the core of a mature Star Devourer?"
As it spoke, another mental magic spell surged forth. Isrile and Ruosha had been on guard the entire time for any mental magic attacks, so this attempt was bound to fail.
"I might have told you if you had been more sincere. Sadly, you’re not. So, you can guess all you want," Isrile said with a smile.
"I was initially curious, wondering from where such two geniuses had appeared, but now it seems clear. You’re from the Golden Fleet, aren’t you?" the figure suggested.
"And what about you? A parasite?" Isrile mocked.
"Oh? You’re so informed about my background. Are there also people in the middle plane who know of our existence, the God Chasers?" the opponent seemed somewhat surprised.
Had she guessed correctly? God Chasers? What was that, exactly?
Neither Isrile nor Ruosha had ever heard about the God Chasers, but since the opponent had admitted it himself, could it really be some kind of parasite?
"Forget it, whether you truly know of me or not, since you’re aware of my nature, of course, I can’t let you leave here alive. Your power, and the mature Star Devourer core, are mine!"
Boom!
Space fluctuated wildly as the giant figure released a tremendous spatial distortion. In fact, the tetrahedrons comprising the figure were more numerous than Ruosha’s two mature tetrahedrons. If they were to compare the advantage in numbers, Ruosha would be no match.
"I’m curious to know where this incredible confidence of yours comes from." Ruosha said with a disdainful smile, clapping her hands together. The two cores merged into one, creating a new, oversized core! The spatial fluctuation turned into a shockwave, ripping through the space several kilometers in front of them — tearing not only through the spatial distortions unleashed by the Giant, but also severing the Giant in half!
Shattered metal and liquid full of Kela Particles sprayed out from the space!
"No need to hide anymore; let’s kill it!" Ruosha shouted, revealing her true form and holding a massive anchor as she charged forward. Isrile, too, revealed her Dragon Hunting Spider form, sending webs spraying out, and a devastating Thunderstrike instantly traveled through the metal to the interior!
"Dragon Hunting Spider Isrile! Nightmare Knight Group Leader Ruosha? It’s you two!"
Boom!
Ruosha’s massive anchor pierced the Giant’s body, shattering countless tetrahedrons, but failed to touch the Crystal with the red fluctuations.
"Haha, what can you do even if you have the ability! You want to find me? Pure folly!" the Giant laughed heartily.
"Come out!" Isrile shouted, and her three dormant henchmen fell noisily from above.
"Big Sis!" The three Dragon Hunting Spiders readied themselves for battle.
Boom! Boom!
Two more spatial fluctuations intersected and chopped the Giant into four parts!
```
"Split them apart!"
Four Dragon Hunting Spiders released spider silk missiles in four directions, firmly controlling the four parts that were trying to reassemble, suspending them in mid-air!
"Now it’s a bit easier to search, isn’t it?"
Ruosha raised her giant anchor and flew directly towards one portion. As she collided with it, Kela particles thundered and shattered all the fragments—indeed, there was no crystal inside. Then Ruosha rushed towards the second portion, which also contained nothing.
When Ruosha charged at the third portion, it suddenly exploded; a red crystal flew out from inside. Ruosha reached out to grab it, but the crystal suddenly fragmented, and the red energy fluctuations burrowed into Ruosha’s eyes!
With the red crystal and its energy fluctuations gone, the four tetrahedrons also struggled and ceased. Isrile released the spider web and reverted to human form, approaching Ruosha, only to see red light continuously flashing in Ruosha’s eyes!
Mental magic? Mental creature? Whatever it was! Isrile first used her strongest Spider Silk to firmly tie up Ruosha and then threw her giant anchor aside. Without Ruosha’s Kela particles, the giant anchor was merely heavy.
After finishing all this, Isrile shouted at the few minions.
"Girls, forget those tetrahedrons, I need you!"
Isrile reverted to her original form, with four enormous Dragon Hunting Spiders occupying the four corners, each with a golden spider silk linking from their heads to the top of Ruosha’s head.
"I need you all to focus your mind and help me!" Isrile instructed.
"Yes, Sister!"
Immediately thereafter, with the support of the three underlings, Isrile plunged into Ruosha’s consciousness.
But as soon as she arrived, the surroundings seemed to be filled with water. It appeared there was a battle ahead. Isrile held her breath and swam towards it, only to see Ruosha entangled with a man. Upon a closer look, that man was Long Yi!
Is this a joke?
"Ruosha! What are you doing!" Isrile shouted.
"Isrile? Are you real or fake!?" Ruosha appeared incredibly weak and was covered with wounds.
"Nonsense, of course I’m real! When you suddenly stood still, I knew you must be under mental control. Why are you fighting with Long Yi?" Isrile asked.
"I have been fighting here for almost ten days! In these ten days, I have slain countless enemies! That bastard keeps creating various enemies, and now he has brought out Brother Long! I feel like I can’t beat him anymore!" Ruosha’s anchor-wielding hand was visibly limp.
Isrile frowned deeply, carefully observing the situation on the battlefield. Indeed, the giant anchor was too heavy for Ruosha; with her frail body, how could she possibly swing such a heavy anchor? It looked like she was about to fall, she...
Huh?
Isrile suddenly realized her mistake, Am I insane? Who is that? Is that Ruosha? That’s Tiger Whale Warrior! That giant anchor is a toy to her! Could she feel it’s heavy? Impossible! But why did I think so? This must be under the influence of mental powers!
Isrile immediately became alert; the mental strength of the four Dragon Hunting Spiders was almost duped, showcasing the immense power of the entity casting the mental influence!
"Ruosha! You flat-chested idiot! This is the spiritual realm! You can’t possibly feel exhausted here!" Isrile yelled.
"But... I really am too tired!" By now, even Ruosha could hardly lift her arms.
"You fool! Who are you fighting against right now?" Isrile asked loudly.
"Brother Long..." Ruosha’s voice grew fainter.
"Then who is Long Yi?!" Isrile roared.
"He is my man..." Ruosha seemed to regain some spirit.
"Then tell me, you flat-chested dimwit, would Long Yi fight against you!"
Clang!
Long Yi’s Dragon-slaying Sword was gripped in one hand by Ruosha, but her look was still puzzled as she pondered. Meanwhile, the Long Yi in front struggled desperately to pull the sword free. Ruosha released her hand, and Long Yi fell to the ground with a thud.
"My man is not as stupid as you!" Previously wounded all over, Ruosha shouted, and the surrounding water along with Long Yi disappeared suddenly. Only a pure white space remained, where a single red fluctuation roamed.
"No! How could you break free! My illusion is impeccable!" God Chasers howled.
"Whether your illusion is impeccable or not, I don’t know, but what I do know is, you’ve chosen the wrong person!"
Before God Chasers could flee, a transparent cage fell around it, trapping it no matter how hard it struggled!
"This is my spiritual realm, everything here must listen to me! You foolish insect!" Ruosha said. (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote for it at Qidian (qidian.com). Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian.com to read.)
