Chapter 1076: Chapter 829: Special Means

Ever since Giant sent Long Yi from the Mountain Giant planet to the Stellar Realm Arena, his luck had been getting better by the day. He’d swallowed up several fleets of interstellar pirates and even started controlling the business of a few minor planets. He believed all this was due to the good luck Long Yi had brought him. Ever since Long Yi went to the Stellar Realm Arena, he had been keeping an eye on every move he made after all, he often went to the arena himself to gamble for thrills. But Long Yi’s every action in the Arena had completely surpassed his expectations. From an unknown newcomer, he rose through the ranks in a crushing fashion until he, astonishingly, became the king of the Stellar Realm Arena!

It was something Giant never even dreamed would happen, yet for some reason, it stirred something in him. It also inspired him to transform from a little-known pirate into a leader who dominated an entire region.

However, what happened to Long Yi next was even more incredible to him.

He was actually starting to challenge the ancient powerhouses?

And he won!

He took on more of the ancient powerhouses! And won again!

All the ancient powerhouses were beaten by Long Yi, none daring to show their faces!

Who could have thought that a bumpkin from Mountain Giant planet could achieve such feats?

Provoked by this, Giant started to aim higher once more, thus he began to transition from pirating to legitimate business. Before long, he actually succeeded in becoming a big boss from a pirate!

All this was unbelievable, but it was the truth.

At this moment, Giant was in his cabin overlooking his own planet. He was used to pondering issues here, thinking of himself as the beginning of everything, recalling that Long Yi had once stood here. And since Long Yi had created a supreme enterprise, he could do the same. Although this planet was not prosperous, he was not in a hurry. He was young, he had time, and he would slowly build his own business empire from this planet.

No, maybe even a real Empire!

Just then, a commotion arose outside the door, followed by a series of screams. Giant frowned slightly; this was not his first time facing assassination attempts or raids, and he was not worried because the place had incredibly comprehensive facilities that could protect him most of the time. Unless the enemy was too powerful, but would such a formidable enemy come here?

Boom!

The main door was smashed open before he could see who the intruder was, a fatal light cannon was fired, but the visitor raised a hand and effortlessly blocked it. Then a voice that made Giant’s hair stand on end said, "What, Giant, as a big boss, you don’t recognize an old friend anymore?"

Giant hurriedly shut down all the alarm systems and scurried over, dropping to his knees before the newcomer.

"Even if I had ten thousand guts, I wouldn’t dare say ’no’ to you!"

It was Long Yi, who cheerfully pulled Giant up from the ground. At this time, a crowd rushed in with calls of, "Boss! Boss! Let go of my boss!"

Giant yelled, "Stop your damn shouting! This is my real brother! All of you get out! Close the door!"

The group that was ready to fight was stunned. His real brother? Not to mention the difference in appearance, they weren’t even the same race, right? Could it be that Giant was forced to say this under duress?

"What are you standing around for? Get out! Close the door!" Giant continued to bellow. The crowd then scurried out and shut the door. Giant, with a smile plastered across his face, looked at Long Yi: "Brother Long Yi, what brings you to me?"

Long Yi put him down, glanced around, and said with a smile, "I heard you’ve been making quite a splash lately, so I came to see you and also to ask you for a favor."

Suddenly, a sense of mission surged into Giant’s mind: "Brother Long Yi, just give the order. If it’s within my power, I will not say ’no’, and if not, I will definitely find someone to get it done for you!"

Giant’s words sounded far more sincere than vowing to get it done, thumping his chest.

Long Yi smiled and said, "You must know about the recent events, right?"

Giant nodded. The conflict between Long Yi and the Ancient Mage Tower was almost common knowledge. Especially since the Mage Tower had controlled small nation-states to oppose the Empire that Long Yi and Ai Lin controlled, he was well aware of it all.

Then Long Yi handed Giant a list: "I need these items from these countries, the more you can get, the better."

Giant glanced at the list. Some items were easy to come by, but others would be impossible by normal means.

"What do you mean?" Giant glanced at Long Yi, uncertain of his intentions.

"I just need these items, and I guarantee I will give you a generous reward. Of course, where you get these items and how you get them, I don’t care," Long Yi said.

Giant immediately understood that the moment had come when he must make a choice. Long Yi, or the Ancient Mage Tower, Giant had to choose now.

"Need some time to think about it?" Long Yi asked.

What a joke! Is there even a need to think about it?

"Leave this matter to me!" The eyes of the red-skinned big brother sparkled with determination. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

He was very clear about the opportunity before him: should he succeed, the power dynamics throughout the Plane would undergo a thorough reshuffle. And as one of the dealers, he was bound to receive a huge slice of the cake!

Faint heart never won fair lady! He who dares, wins! Let’s gamble!

Emperor Saint Danze of the Sanctuary Empire had no idea what Long Yi had actually gone to do, but not long after, he truly received the first batch of supplies, which were exactly the scarce rare metal materials needed to upgrade the Divine Armor. The supplies were transported by merchant ships that were not registered under any country, and from the looks of their dilapidation, they would be hard to find even on the second-hand market. When the red-skinned captain docked this broken ship at the Spaceport, Emperor Saint Danze even thought that the ship would fall apart into a pile of parts the next moment. However, when he entered the interior of the cargo ship, he saw a completely different scene. The inside of the cargo ship was extremely clean, definitely a brand new model—because it was one of the Sanctuary Empire’s export ships.

This cargo ship, heavily disguised, had evaded everyone’s attention and delivered the first batch of goods straight to the hands of the Sanctuary Empire’s Emperor. Of course, it was a simple transaction of cash on delivery.

"If I remember correctly, these red-skins are pirates, aren’t they?" Saint Danze quietly asked Long Yi, observing the others busily unloading the goods.

"Former pirates. Now they’re trying hard to transform into qualified merchants," Long Yi replied.

"Their red-skinned big brother is known for being crafty and ruthless. How did you manage to deal with him?" Saint Danze inquired.

"At the time, I kicked open his cabin door and he immediately threw himself at my feet calling me ’big brother.’ Then I told him what I needed, and he immediately thumped his chest and assured me he would handle it. It’s that simple," Long Yi said honestly.

Saint Danze’s face showed disbelief; he thought Long Yi must have used some special tactics, but since Long Yi wasn’t spilling the beans, he didn’t press further. After all, as long as the result was good, the process didn’t matter.

The newly arrived materials proved to be highly useful; the key parts needed to upgrade the Divine Armor could be manufactured immediately. Watching everything progress in an orderly fashion, Saint Danze couldn’t stop smiling.

Soon, various reports came in. A powerful force had suddenly entered the universe’s black market, starting to purchase rare metals in large quantities, while smuggling incidents in some small countries became more rampant.

At this point, Saint Danze already had a clear idea of where these supplies had come from. However, he still sensed something fishy from the details of these reports. The sudden increase in smuggling activities from those countries might not be the sole achievement of the red-skinned pirates; it could very well be under the official instructions of those countries, which had always relied on selling resources for money. And in this universe, the only entity capable of purchasing these rare resources in large quantities was the Sanctuary Empire, specialized in studying magic equipment.

After the Ancient Mage Tower entered those countries, it aimed to control their armies to ultimately control the countries themselves. Maybe under the threat of the Ancient Mage Tower, they dared not sell resources directly to the Sanctuary Empire, but smuggling was always hard to prevent.

Even though this was all conjecture by Saint Danze, he believed the truth was not far off. These small countries didn’t yet dare to openly defy the Sanctuary Empire—not even with the Ancient Mage Tower backing them. However, as time passed and the Ancient Mage Tower gained complete control over these countries, the situation could change drastically.

But for now, at least, his side still had the upper hand.

The trouble with the Star Devourers was a big one, and not even Isrile and Ruosha, who feared neither heaven nor earth, dared to take it lightly. After the Azure Sky Empire and Hong En Empire conducted their investigations and concluded that the scientists who had been pushing for interstellar exploration all came from the same planet—a planet that originally didn’t exist in historical records—the situation became even more urgent.

If this planet really were a Star Devourer, it meant that it might brew incredible trouble.

To tackle this trouble, a head-on collision was clearly not an option.

Isrile and Ruosha decided to venture deep behind enemy lines.

"Even though infiltrating the enemy in disguise was your idea, why is it that I am the little sister and you are the big sister?" Ruosha asked, looking at the beautiful but unfamiliar face before her.

"Because mine are bigger," Isrile pronounced, puffing out her chest.

"You, as a Dragon Hunting Spider, only transformed them and you dare brag about it," Ruosha retorted with a pout.

At this moment, Isrile and Ruosha no longer resembled their past selves. They were similar in height, almost identical in appearance, but completely unfamiliar.

They had disguised themselves as a pair of sisters who had made outstanding contributions to Plane Magic research. To make the sisters seem more credible, the emperor of Azure Sky had his most trusted people help them set up the most detailed background that covered everything from birth to the present.

They were born on a remote planet under the jurisdiction of the Azure Sky Empire, orphaned at a young age, and raised by a local welfare institution. Because of their extraordinary talent in magic research, they had been secretly adopted by the Imperial family. It was only recently, with their major discoveries in spatial research, that the Emperor decided to let them step out and publicly present this epoch-making discovery.

The Azure Sky Emperor had always had a tradition of secretly adopting talented children, and because these children were kept apart, this part of the background was the easiest to keep confidential.

"So, are you ready?" Isrile asked Ruosha.

"It’s actually you, my dear sister, who should be careful not to get so frightened that you wet your pants! Ha ha!" Ruosha spoke jestingly.(To be continued.
