Chapter 1025: Chapter 778 Alien Seed from the Sky

The voice emanated from within the armor, sounding like the reverberation of metal.
"Perhaps you can tell me what happened here; maybe I can help you," Long Yi said.
"That evil being was sealed here by the Giants, and aside from the Giants, no one can help us," the armor replied.
"I can," Long Yi asserted.
"Prove it." As it spoke, the armor extended a hand, upon which an intricate Array emerged. This was a rare Giant magic, and if it were just an ordinary researcher, they would likely find it very difficult to understand its principles. But Long Yi was different; with the help of the Giant tablet, he quickly deciphered the magic. Long Yi extended his hand, channeled the Giants’ power, and the Array was broken.
"You have solved the puzzle. According to the predetermined protocol, we will lead you into the core area. However, your lives will be greatly threatened, and we cannot be held responsible for that," the armor stated.
"Yes, I understand," Long Yi acquiesced.
"Follow me."
The suit of armor turned and proceeded onward, and Long Yi and his group immediately followed closely behind.
"All of this happened very suddenly," the armor recounted.
In the distant past, this planet had been very prosperous. With the Giants’ assistance, the life on this planet began to evolve rapidly, developing its own flourishing civilization. However, just as they were preparing to march toward other planets, a massive meteorite suddenly landed on this planet. And afterward, the meteorite started to grow roots, extending all the way down and completely spreading into the planet’s core! All these events transpired very quickly, and in less than a year, the planet was entirely under the control of the meteorite. The inhabitants of the planet were likewise controlled.
Every resident of the planet could feel their life force and mana being drained by the ground. Research proved that the life force and mana being drained all converged upon the meteorite!
Not long after, the meteorite began to sprout, growing into a giant tree. And under the sunlight, the canopy of the great tree began to cover the entire planet!
By this time, the Giants had left the planet, and everyone could only rely on themselves. Although no one knew exactly what had happened, everyone knew that the tree was a monster, and if it were not completely eradicated, it would be the source of nutrients for all life on the planet!

The story mirrored a similar version they had heard before, on the planet of the Mountain Giants, where there was also an Underground City and a tree. But the tree on that planet was benevolent, intended to purify the planet of anti-life monsters.
Similar stories, both featuring a tree, yet the trees were different—one good, the other evil. Could there be another tale of a tree within another Underground City?
"If all life had disappeared, where did these lives outside come from?" Long Yi asked the armor.
"We created them to prevent anyone from intruding here," the armor replied.
"Well then, what about you saying that the Giants helped you seal it? What’s that about?" Long Yi inquired.
"Several years after everything happened, the Giants returned here and learned of these events. They were quite surprised too, but they respected our decision and used a special device to fully seal the meteorite."
"Why didn’t the Giants destroy it at that time?"
"Because once it dies, this planet would also collapse instantaneously," the armor explained.
"After all, this is already a dead planet, so what if it collapses?"
"If this planet were to collapse, the seeds hidden within it would be released, and those seeds would be propelled into the entire Plane through hyperspace, something even the Giants cannot stop. The Giants had once promised to create a massive spatial collapse for us, ensuring that our entire planet disappeared. But then the Giants vanished without a trace."
Long Yi nodded. That must have been when the war with the Dragon Clan started.

"Seeds? Are there many?" Ai Lin asked softly.
"Beneath your feet, throughout the interior of the entire planet, are its seeds."

Approaching the base of the building, the armored figure stopped: "We can’t go any further, nor can we open this door."
Long Yi nodded, noticing a scepter slot in front of the door. He took out the Giant’s scepter, tapped it lightly, and immediately an alarm sounded throughout the building.
"Warning! Authorization to open the main seal door has been granted! All irrelevant personnel must immediately evacuate the area!"
The door opened, and Long Yi and his group entered.
Behind the door was a huge meteor crater, and in the center of the crater was an enormous meteorite.
