Chapter 107: Chapter 107 Rolled Together
Bi Yuanhang didn’t down half a bottle in one go this time; instead, he sat in the courtyard, slowly sipping his drink.
A gulp of beer, a bite of peanuts.
He used to be a teetotaler, so his body was still very sensitive to alcohol. As soon as the beer hit his stomach, it seemed as though his blood slowly began to burn.
But his sorrows didn’t diminish at all.
After drinking about half a bottle, Weina came over.
The restaurant had already closed, and the cook and Xiao Cui had gone home.
...
“Why are you drinking again?” Weina approached and asked.
Bi Yuanhang gave a faint smile, “Just a bit bored.”
“It is a bit boring to drink alone,” Weina remarked.
She didn’t bother him and went to freshen up first.
Having been in the restaurant all day, she smelled of food and needed not only a bath but also a change of clothes.
When she finished and came out, she saw Bi Yuanhang still sitting in the courtyard, staring blankly at the stars.
She couldn’t help but walk over and ask, “Are you drunk?”
Bi Yuanhang smiled, “No.”
“Are you watching the stars?”
“Yes, I just realized for the first time how beautiful the starry sky is here.”
Taking a seat herself, Weina pulled up a chair and looked up at the night sky, “I heard that the stars in the sky are all transformed from dead people, that every time someone dies, another star appears.”
Bi Yuanhang looked at her and shook his head with a smile, “That’s just a legend. From a medical point of view, when people die, they are just dead. There’s no such thing as a new star appearing in the sky.”
Weina rolled her eyes at him, “Do you think you’re always right? Not everything in this world can be explained with science. Medicine is just a small branch of study.”
Bi Yuanhang thought of Xiao Cui mentioning her husband was a martyr and probably still cherished that memory, so he didn’t argue with her. Whatever she believed was fine.
After sitting for a while, seeing that his beer was finished, Weina asked, “Do you want to keep drinking?”
Bi Yuanhang indeed intended to, “Yes.”
He felt his blood was still burning, his head slightly dizzy, but he wasn’t sleepy yet.
Weina went back to the restaurant, brought out a bottle of baijiu and a pack of peanuts, and asked Bi Yuanhang, “Is this okay?”
“Of course it is.” Bi Yuanhang would drink whatever was available.
She poured him a glass, poured one for herself, clinked glasses with him, and then downed it in one go.
Bi Yuanhang said, “You can hold your liquor quite well.”
“Not bad,” Weina said, popping a peanut into her mouth.
Bi Yuanhang took a sip of the baijiu; it was strong and burned even with just a little, but since Weina could drink it, he saw no reason he couldn’t.
He also drank his in one go.
As the alcohol kicked in, he became more talkative.
“You usually live here alone, right?”
Weina filled both empty glasses, “Occasional tourists come, but it’s mostly just me.”
“Aren’t you scared living alone?”
“I’m used to it. Besides, there are no bad people here.”
After another glass of liquor, Bi Yuanhang’s courage grew, and he asked something he normally wouldn’t dare to, “I heard that you are a very passionate person, that after your husband passed away, you’ve been here waiting.”
Weina smiled, “Did Xiao Cui tell you?”
“Yes.”
After taking a sip of her drink, she paused before saying, “Yes, and no. My husband and I were childhood sweethearts, always together from a young age, but there was one time he mentioned he wanted to break up.”
“Break up? Why?” Bi Yuanhang asked, surprised.
“Who knows? I chased him all the way here, but then he died.”
“Then were you… married or not?”
“If you mean by registration, no, but at his funeral, I was recognized as his wife,” Weina said.
“Did you ever find out why he wanted to break up?”
Weina shook her head, “No.”
She had asked his comrades, his family, and he had no other woman outside.
She couldn’t accept it, so she kept guarding this place, for several years.
Bi Yuanhang said, “So, you are still passionately in love, quite emotional.”
“It’s just that I can’t let go. Maybe when I can, I might leave,” Weina commented.
“And being here so long, aren’t your family worried about you?” Bi Yuanhang asked.
“Family?” Weina suddenly laughed, “I don’t really have any family left.”
“No family? Not even one family member?”
“There are some, but I can’t go back.” Weina took a sip of her drink, clearly not wanting to delve into the matter.
Bi Yuanhang didn’t ask further.
He too began drinking.
Then he started rambling, mentioning how he was a promising doctor in the hospital, but now that he had come here, he didn’t know what would happen when he returned after a year.
Shortly after, he passed out.
…
At dawn, Bi Yuanhang woke up.
He had had a dream in which Su Meixi came running to him crying, saying she missed him, and then he held her, comforting her until she stopped crying, then he tangled with her, wanting to make love.
She didn’t resist, and was very cooperative, they enjoyed their intimate time together.
When he woke up, he still felt he was holding her, his hand on a soft, tender object, and he smelled a refreshing body fragrance.
He couldn’t help but lower his head and kiss the top of her head.
The person in his arms moved.
Bi Yuanhang held her tighter, fearing the feeling would fade away.

But the person in his arms still moved.
Bi Yuanhang gradually came to.
Wait a minute, wasn’t Su Meixi with Gu Wei? She wouldn’t come crying to him.
She wouldn’t even talk to him.
Then, who was in his arms?
He slowly opened his eyes, and the person in his arms also woke up, sleepily looking up at him.
They stared at each other for a few seconds, then both let out a gasp.
Panicked, wanting to escape.
They both let go of each other and tried to get out of bed, but realized they were both naked, so they hurriedly crawled back under the covers, continuing to look at each other.
“What happened last night?” Weina asked him.
He shook his head, “I… I don’t know.”
Currently, they were both naked, his body had scratch marks, and hers had kiss marks, the sheets below were wet, and the air filled with the scent of post-lovemaking.
But as his awareness cleared, memories of the previous night came flooding back like shattered pieces.
It seemed they had both gotten drunk, and then she said she would help him inside. They both ended up on the bed.
Then, he yelled “Xiao Xi” and she yelled “naughty”, and then they rolled together.
Things just happened naturally.
Remembering the previous night, they both felt a bit embarrassed.
He clutched the sheets, guiltily looking at her again.
